Loved his music growing up 60 years ago and still do! The magic of those songs takes me back to my youth, if only for a few minutes. A time of innocense, dreams of infinite possibilities for the future, a simpler, happier time. Of course, most of those dreams never came true. And most of my dear loved ones have since passed away, just leaving me with bittersweet memories, and a longing for yesteryear.
Totally agree, wish it were possible to go back to those days. Times were much simpler and people were halfway decent to each other. Nothing like to today's world!
We were all blessed because in those days we could still dream❤❤❤😊Even steal a kiss after leaving the Cafeteria after lunch and walking her home carrying her books on my bicycle Junior High School 🏫
I love all of Bobby vees songs they all have some kind of heartfelt sentiment about them almost like a story he is an awesome singer and has a beautiful voice 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊I love every video of music you post on utube
1962,Aberdeen Scotland, I dated a lovely young lass...one of the things we had in common was we both loved Bobby Vee's records...62yrs later,we stll love his music...
Awesome your channel PETE your a 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟too for putting this on 👍👍👍Cheers xxx rest in peace ✌ all ways Bobby v this song awesome a 💎💎 of a song thank you very much appreciated wow wow
He was vastly underrated. His recordings were some of the best of the time. Bobby Vee, Bobby Rydel, Del Shannon, Lou Christie, Gene Pitney, and Brian Hyland, were all great stars of the era. The Beatles came in and eclipsed their careers, but they should never be forgotten.
The great experience of going steady and with time it went cold and you started again. It was fun and really got you ready for that one and final commitment with the marriage vows. In my case 57 years!!!! To think we use to dance to all this music on Friday night once a month in the school Cafeteria. Boys 50 cents to get in the Girls went in free. No real wall flowers we danced with them all. The good old extending your hand out and simply asking may I have this dance? Thank you for putting this music out there again!!!
Bobby Vee had such a smooth and unique voice . Him along with so many singers of that era made a teen girl fall in love with them whenever you heard them on the radio or the local jutebox . Thanks for sharing a bit of some of the best music of that era .
Awww he was one of my late moms favs i am 74 now but still remember my mom singing along to this number she had a hard life but loved to sing to cheer herself up especially to bobby vees sings,,thanks for posting this pete
lol... in the Run to Him video he gave the wow look to the girl on his left, but she clearly ain't interested. The surfer girl to his right was, though.
Hi Pete, I thought I commented on this video before, but I can't see any comments by me now!! That's very strange. Am I also being censored? I love Bobby Vee's songs and his voice. RIP Bobby ❤❤ It looks as if you have also had to eliminate some of the live singing of the songs that I saw before. Did you also have to modify this video? Thanks again for bringing the memories back Pete, I love listening to the music your posts on UA-cam, you have great taste in music from the past Pete ❤❤❤

Pete. Another great selection. The B side of "Please Don't Ask About Barbar a" is a lovely Goffin & King track. "I Can't Say Goodbye".

This song is so funny. It's almost like they said, Use a southern accent so we can reach those Southerners.
