No surprise Live helped me through the darkest time in my life. Before I knew how to worship, my soul was able to praise God with the help of their music and I was saved from despair. They've remained my favorite band since 1994, Throwing Copper. God bless Live, and thank you. ❤
Their faith is exactly why they’ve been pushed out of the industry & never given their props! They refused to compromise their integrity, which makes me love them even more ♥️
"In a million mile fall from grace, thank God we missed the ground" is the most spiritual line in all of music for me. It's so true for any sinner who has found salvation.
This is one of the most beautifully written poetic songs of all time. Its felt with the most deepest emotions and touches your heart. Absolutely exceptional.
My intro to Live was someone (like my Guardian Angel maybe?) singing this song specifically to me in a dream, back in 2006. When I figured out what the song was and who sung it but I cried when I read the lyrics. I finally got to see them in concert 2 weeks ago! This beautiful song is quite special ❤
Anyone here who comes here to watch these videos, dont let the music die, pure poetry on the lyrics and we all need to keep it alive!!! All Hail To Hard Rock!!
same here, I have just understand the whole meaning of the song after many years, cause English isn't my first language, so it took me many years to learn, and even though , there are a couple of words I couldn't understand at all. but in the end the music doesn't needs to be understood, music is to be felt🎧😎🎶
This song and video speak directly to my soul as I'm about to depart for a few months to rehab to conquer some demons more than a decade old, since my teenage years, here goes nothing.. for everything! Thank you to Live for the inspiration I'm feeling right now! Here's to all of us finding our "clean water" whatever that means to each of us individually
I wish you all the best my friend 😊. We must learn to love ourselves enough not to want to destroy ourselves. Life ain't easy, but there's always hope 🙏👍. The small things matters, like love and kindness !!! The rest is the matrix we live in trying to confuse us, find joy in simple things like animals and nature or hobbies !!! Freedom in self is more valuable than gold or money 😁🖐️
When my 2 years and 10 months old niece died I couldn't bear any type of music. I shyed away from everything. One day driving to work the chorus of this song came to my head and I realized that even if I felt burnt to the core, I wasn't broken. Thank you Live!
Which was the message if Christ, that we live on...this world,is not our world, this world,is death, and our burdens are over when this life is over, but for some reason, our flesh ,our culture tells us we must live on,this is our life, don't die,you can live with all our medical miracles...it's a culture,a world that refuses to let us go,as to leave us bound to this earthly world, most cristians forget, and hold on to it,because they've forgotten, that this is not our world. Jesus wanted and had a way of living that would give us a little bit of paradise, had we chose to live the way he did,and said to follow...a guide to make some if this hell turn to an earthly paradise,to as much as we said,we love him,we follow him...we followed a name. We followed an idea of a Christ we no longer know,if we ever knew, because the person I know,is far from who he really was. He said,do as I do...he offered a way for us to live at peace, for both heaven and Earth...but sadly, the way were living, far apart from his ways,I'm afraid most of us miss our heavenly heaven also, because of what our hearts became...I'm afraid were so bound and in love with this world, the moment we feel all of the tribulation, our spirit will be crushed, because we weren't prepared for another reality...this was the world we lived, and our spirit was crushed because it was fixed upon it,which will pass on to our resurrection...had we only prepared for the real eternity, not if this world...but I'm glad you felt that way, glad you realized that this life, isn't the end. .because it isn't...just don't forget that...when all else dad, remember, that there is hope,if you simply don't set your mind on this Earth...and I hope, when I go through loss,I can do the same, nomatyer how I lose ,nomatter what way I lose them,I hope God gives me the strength to not focus, but eliminate that horrible thought, but focus on the peace of what's next, and pass that on to my family,so that God can do the same for them, because in the end,we are all one,but only when we pass it along,so I shall...God bless

@@rnchensley absolutely! Makes me cry, one of the best concerts I have ever been, and I have been to a lot..... This was a hard time in my life and this music just makes me feel like something I honestly can't even explain....
Absolutely superb track. Fantastic, tight, accomplished playing. The lyrics are poetic, complex and almost biblical, to be honest. Ed's singing is on-point and there never really could be another lead singer for Live.- ever. This song withstands time like no other. I could play this on repeat all day and find something new,. Tremendous.
The water of this song is a reference to love. In a desert deprived of water the protagonist bemoans and reminisces the earth mother wondering what has happened to make this world a soulless and loveless place. Although he sees people going through the nounces of courtship (Adam and eve..) there is no real loyalty as he observes that Babylon is in every town. As he comes to the realisation that the world is just a dream. Nothing really matters in the end.
Live makes me feel not just intensely alive, but I also feel great to be intensely alive. (Thank you for pondering my alternatively alternating thought) Yes Bless!!!!!
I played this song for my friend who had never heard it, and afterwards I gushed about the melody, structure, build up to the chorus, lyrics and all the awesomeness that makes it my favorite song in the entire Universe. Then I read your comment and got goosebumps because it is exactly what I feel about this song but explained perfectly! Dig it!
One of the Greatest bands ever. Their music takes me back to my days as a teen chilling out in my room. When Throwing Copper was released, I was hooked. I'm 40 now and still crank their stuff. I had their music with me when I visited India a few years ago (childhood dream) For me, this is my spiritual music.
In 2006 I had a dream that my guardian angel(?) was singing this song to me/for me. I didnt know the song but figured it out eventually and cried like a baby when i read the lyrics. So began my love of Live. I finally saw them on the 4th of April 2024. I esp'd they were coming here when i was on the toilet one day! 😂
Thank You "LIVE" You are helping holiness helping you. I have listened to your music, seems like forever nowadays. Bless each of your Buddhist selves. Loving always, God.
This video watched in this moment of my life gave me more Revelation than I have received in a very, very long time. You can't ever know how thankful I am.
Each time i hear this song. My soul weeps. Breaking, into smithariens. I love the ending, How he frantically wakes up, runs to the water, n with much gratitude, kisses his gift.. A blessing to have seen this video, at this time. At this moment, on this day. Thank you! Jesus.
Listening to this in July 2021 as the riots in Durban, South Africa burnt down my hometown. Proud of the communities for standing up and protecting each other. We are "burnt to the core but not broken".
Great song, plain and simple. With lyrics like "it's a place and the home of ascended souls, who swam out there in love." and "recognize it all as light and rainbows," How can you not just love this. At night, when my guard is down and all is quiet, this music melts right through me. Simply amazing.
To me, this song is representing using the metaphor of water as love. Run to the water, don't be afraid. Love is the centre of everything, where everything comes from, the source
One of my favourite band and way underrestimated. People complaining about rock music being dead should try them or Alter Bridge, or songs like this I just bumped on ua-cam.com/video/i1fVRW6z3n4/v-deo.html
Every song ever played by this INCREDIBLE band resonates throughout my entire body!! Ed is by far my favorite singer, song writer and human in general. I've seen them 3 times when they came to NZ and I gotta tell ya this band performing in concert sound incredible!!! Some bands some terrible when live in concert but this band sound just like a crystal clear CD. I'm literally grieving the years gone by when all I ever played was live!! My babies are now 22 and 26 years and they grew up listening to this amazing band!! Thank you Live for many many years of listening and loving your music xx
I just went to see them onthe 4th of April in NZ. Yeah I agree. He sounded amazing!!!! Couldn't say the same for Incubus, who played after Live would you believe! I actually esp'd they were coming to NZ when I was on the toilet one day! Haha. Love how spiritual their lyrics are. I started loving them after someone was singing 'Run to the water" to me in 2006 in a dream I had. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Most people say that they wish live was a more successful band but I think they are the perfect example of how not being in the mainstream can help a band they made the music that they loved and that we loved and I think that that’s just enough for me
You know how you hear a song and you wish you could have it playing in the background for one of those moments in life that changes its course entirely, due to how impactful that moment is? I'm happy to say I fell in love for the first time slow dancing with my first girlfriend to this song. 2001 was a huge shift for me. 17 years old and in puppy love with somebody who would go on to break my heart, only to reconnect years later to make things right and spend one more night together between relationships. My house was right across the road from the beach and as teenagers we would always go there to be alone together. Years after that I got the chance to interview Ed for a magazine I was writing for and I got to share this with him and the conversation opened up so much compared to just minutes before when he assumed I was just another street press writer getting another interview out of the way. No, Ed. Huge fan thanks to what you've added to my life. It was already a beautiful song before all of this, but again, the fact that I have all these memories attached to it just makes it something else entirely. Fills my heart every time.
Man!!!I've been looking for this song for One Mouth .The first time I've listened this music it was in the radio Antena1 From Brazil - São Paulo - SP - 94,7 FM , exactly at 03:01 AM, on the 20th of the Month of March 2014.Thank You Antena1!!! Abrigado Antena1!!EU TE AMO!!
"in a moment we lost our minds here and dreamt the world was round a million mile fall from grace thank god we missed the ground....." Still affect me this many years later.

I heard Live's "Lightning Crashes" When I was In French Foreign Legion. We were watching MTV in the main guard (no-one wanted to watch french channels) and I found my emotional side there :). Since then, I've been a fan. I am an old man now, but young at heart, and truly wish, that the band would reconnect. "Throwing Copper" is one of the best records ever made. Buy the way I'm a Finn so many times the lyrics are hard to comprehend, but anyway I love Live!
His voice here is off the charts. He has a ton of dynamic range (quiet to loud) and a ton of tonal range (low notes to high notes). This is what it means to dominate with your voice. He knows precisely when and how to be soft and when to dial up his power. It's an incredible gift that few singers have.
Absolutely amazing. I can't believe they split, this is pure gold. Soulful, real... Sometimes we wonder where real music is these days. This is pure. :) I can't believe they split, live is genius
Great song I always think of myself fishing in a boat, or land based just run and find me at the water/ocean. Live thank you for creating great music for us all whom grew up in the 90s. Praise God for great rock music back then miss these day's. Gen Y please take note and try to have some real creative music like this.

Oh desert speak to my heart
Oh woman of the earth
Maker of children who weep for love
Maker of this birth
'Til your deepest secrets are known to me
I will not be moved
I will not be moved
Don't try to find the answer
When there ain't no question here
Brother let your heart be wounded
And give no mercy to your fear
Adam and Eve live down the street from me
Babylon is every town
It's as crazy as it's evere been
Love's a stranger all around
In a moment we lost our minds here
And lay our spirit down
Today we lived a thousand years
All we have is now
Run to the water
And find me there
Burnt to the core but not broken
We'll cut through the madness
Of these streets below the moon
These streets below the moon
An I will never leave you
'Til we can say, this world was just a dream
We were sleepin' now we are awake
'Til we can say
In a moment we lost our minds here
And dreamt the world was round
A million miles fall from grace
Thank God we missed the ground
Run to the water
And find me there
Burnt to the core, but not broken
We'll cut through the madness
Of these streets below the moon
With a nuclear fire of love in our hearts
Yeah, I can see it now Lord
Out beyond all the breakin' of waves
And the tribulation
It's a place and the home of ascended souls
Who swam out there in love
Run to the water
And find me there
Burnt to the core, but not broken
We'll cut through the madness
Of these streets below the moon
With a nuclear fire of love in our hearts
Rest easy baby, rest easy
And recognize it all as light and rainbows
Smashed to smithereens and be happy
Run to the water (And find me there) Oh, oh
Run to the water

Live makes me feel not just intensely alive, but I also feel great to be intensely alive. (Thank you for pondering my alternatively alternating thought) Yes Bless!!!!!
God this song makes me so emotional. Tears just flow out.
+Shanelle De Almeida Sends shivers down my spine every time.
Shanelle De Almeida dolphins Cry does that to me so awesome
me too
Don't, Shanelle. Look forward. All we have is now.
But why 😂😂😂
A mini scinamatic masterpiece this video is!
I'm also 40 and been listening to them since I was a teen. My favorite band, all their songs have meaning and soul.
Im still rockin this song since. 1999 im 3rd year high school still my favorite
Been four years since you left us, my man. Been a long four years without you. I'm still sitting by the water. I'm still sitting there.
beautifully said.
this entire album has a depth and beauty that hits me on higher level than the other albums..which I love.
One of the best album and band ever !
+Max Headroom Absolutely! So few whole albums I enjoy. It is also imo not just this one of theirs.
Totally!
Max Headroom Ed announced recently on Sirius that they are getting back together!
hell yes!!!
SHUT UP?!?! Best news ever!
This video watched in this moment of my life gave me more Revelation than I have received in a very, very long time. You can't ever know how thankful I am.
2023 e essa música e clipe ainda são PERFEITOS!
In a moment we lost our minds here

@@benny5299 Flat Earth! lol
@@benny5299 it means no matter how hard you fail, as long as you're still alive, you get the hell up and haul ass
LIVE - ONe of the best live bands I have ever seen. Their music speaks to the soul!
April 2024 I'm here , this song is very beautiful
I'm here in May 2024 cos Dale Holmes (Australia), did a decode on this song. I love the song.
June 2024❤
Each time i hear this song. My soul weeps.
Breaking, into smithariens. I love the ending,
How he frantically wakes up, runs to the water,
n with much gratitude, kisses his gift..
Just heard this song on the reunion tour in Pretoria, South Africa. They've still got it!
I like the fact it's the tribulation in this video and Ed and LiVE still keep the faith!
This entire album is the best! Genius! Loved them at 13 and even more now at 43!❤
Amo essa música...uma das melhores dentre tantas ...bons tempos...Voz incrível, banda incrível...LOVE LIVE 🇧🇷❤️🇧🇷❤️😍
To me, this song is representing using the metaphor of water as love. Run to the water, don't be afraid. Love is the centre of everything, where everything comes from, the source
Many ways to go there...Love the song anyway.
♥
You'll find the key in Ies.55.
Water is the element of emotion. The root of all emotions is ultimately love.
Kind of like every single live song. And that's not a complaint.
One of the best Live songs. I could never get tired of it.
Today we lived a thousand years
All we have is now
Run to the water
Providence.
90's best in alternative and even other genre's like hiphop. Never to happen again :(
this song tells a story that touches the hearts of everyone who understands it....
This song is art.
inspired by god, no joke
One of the best meaningful songs I or anyone has ever heard live is absolute perfection. Love you all
Saw these guys around 95ish at Bellarmine College in Louisville. Still one of the best shows I have evee been to. Will always love this band.
One of my favourite band and way underrestimated. People complaining about rock music being dead should try them or Alter Bridge, or songs like this I just bumped on ua-cam.com/video/i1fVRW6z3n4/v-deo.html
This is the greatest band of all time
Been listening to them since the Mental Jewelry album came out & ive loved every minute. Glad they’re back together making music.
Fantastic band
*Iron Maiden
Not quite lol.
A million mile fall from grace thank god we missed the ground..... 2nd Favorite Lyrics Ever.
Why the hell isn't this band more popular? Every song they put out is pretty damn epic.
Most people say that they wish live was a more successful band but I think they are the perfect example of how not being in the mainstream can help a band they made the music that they loved and that we loved and I think that that’s just enough for me
Gifted artists. Musicians and word smiths. This album has always been at the top of the list for inspirational and powerful music that moves my soul.
Hi calamity,hope you’re okay ?
Jesus!! What an epic song
"In a moment, we lost our minds here and dreamt the world was round. A million mile fall from grace... thank God we miss the ground."
'Nuff said.
You searched for this song, it wasn't on your random Playlist. Still so powerful even in Aug 2023
Such a beutiful voice and alot of truth and meaning in this song .
One of my all time favorite songs, love this song so much!
Abrigado Antena1!!EU TE AMO!!
xlegomatteox LOL!! Sorry!!! hahaha
I mean ''ONE MONTH''
Loved these guys since day one! One of the most underrated bands ever. True poets and musicians. Beautiful lyrics that make you feel.
You just need to blast this song through speakers at 110%!
o yes
But as with any great song that just isn't needed at all:)
Bern de klerk got it boosted to 200%
All The Good Music - me too!!!!!
Especially the bridge and solo, gives me chills every time!
"in a moment we lost our minds here
and dreamt the world was round
a million mile fall from grace
thank god we missed the ground....." Still affect me this many years later.
I thought I was the only one. So fucking good
Chompski
Because they are telling you the world is flat lol
A million miles fall from grace
Thank God we missed the ground
Run to the water
And find me there
Burnt to the core, but not broken
We'll cut through the madness
Of these streets below the moon
With a nuclear fire of love in our hearts
Yeah, I can see it now Lord
Out beyond all the breakin' of waves
And the tribulation
It's a place and the home of ascended souls
Who swam out there in love
Run to the water
And find me there
I heard Live's "Lightning Crashes" When I was In French Foreign Legion.
They were always top of the line songwriters -- great lyrics, tight changes and excellent melodies
Absolutely amazing. I can't believe they split, this is pure gold. Soulful, real... Sometimes we wonder where real music is these days. This is pure. :) I can't believe they split, live is genius
Banda memorável,música primordial para refletirmos sobre a vida...
WoW!!!! pure talent,,,,sets your soul on fire!!!!! thanks Ed,,, we love you!!!
one of the better live bands I've seen a few times. always a great show.
Great song I always think of myself fishing in a boat, or land based just run and find me at the water/ocean. Live thank you for creating great music for us all whom grew up in the 90s. Praise God for great rock music back then miss these day's. Gen Y please take note and try to have some real creative music like this.
One of the most underrated bands ever

This band still moves me decades later.
