Turbulent Tulip 🌷 Trip

I’ve always wanted to take my loving wife for a flight over the Skagit Valley tulip fields since I got my license. Unfortunately, she was not feeling well today. The winds were gusting in the morning at one point to a 25 knot crosswind out of Auburn. I wasn’t going to go, but when I got to the airport the winds were within limits. The ride was moderately bumpy, but smoothed out when I arrived at Skagit Valley. One of my better landings at Skagit. More bumps and gusts on the way back to Auburn. My first approach the wind changed on me and I went around off of 16. Tried again and the winds cooperated for a decent landing on 34. I will take my wife to see the tulips from the air!
