Thank you so much for sharing your methods and educating us on how to design with Silhouette. Im still new at using the software and loved this new technique.
Hi Lindsay! You can use a state shape and upload it directly to Cricut (in place of the shape of the heart). Did you have a state file you would like to use?
Simple and beautiful! Thank you!! However, my heart in 3rd design dissapears at the very last step after welding it wth the text, and I can't figure out why :(

I've been looking for a video like this. Thank you. Is there a way to do a similar process where you fill the heart red and the word "Love" a different color? Can't figure that one out.
Hey Simone! So yes, you can do this by creating a duplicate of your heart first and leaving it off to the side, then you can save it and use the "love" as a border around the heart. Hope this helps! ---Becky
@@DesignBundles I'm so sorry, I've tried what I think you are saying a few times and can't seem to figure it out. I guess this would be the best example I could find but I know this one is a bit difficult. See attached.
Hello, I am following the video step by step but I noticed (at 5:59) that once you delete the letters away, you are left with a heart shape that is closed where you made the cut lines. When I delete the letters it leave me with a gap at the ends of where the cut lines were made. When I continue to follow the steps, the pieces do not weld as in your demo. Can you please help?
Hi Money! You will first want to weld the text in Love, and then weld the shape to the connected text. If you are still having trouble, please let us know! We are here to help! - Dawn

Hi can you please explain something. I'm creating badges and I've made my design but if I move it it's all separate pieces. So confused on how to make it one piece that I can move about and duplicate without having to do it bit by bit.
Hey Elizabeth! If you have overlapping pieces, you want to weld those together (it will combine them) and if you just need to Group them together. Both can be accomplished by selecting all the pieces of your design, right-click your mouse and choose the option you want. Hope this helps! ---Becky
Hey there! Great question. After you use the knife, you will want to click back on the cursor icon at the very top of your left-side tool bar. I also have a video that can help you change this setting. Hope this helps! ---Becky ua-cam.com/video/-PBcaRAAUak/v-deo.html

Could you please tell me why my word is not welding too my heart? I’m going step by step following you.

It did not work for me, maybe because I am using two different fonts. :(
