Thank you for this rundown. I now know how to mow with our new cub cadet. And the backup feature while blades are engaged is important also.
You're welcome. Happy mowing! It's a great tractor.
Nicely made video, thanks for sharing.
Thank you and no problem!
This was very helpful with learning how to mow in reverse. And i wasn't aware of the 1st oil change in 5 hrs, ooppssiee,, hope i didn't screw it up..😮
Ha ha glad I could help. I would do that first oil change as soon as you can get to it. Probably the most important one
Thanks for a great video! I am buying this model and you have explained exactly what I needed. I am subscribing also/ Thanks again ! Gary K
No problem and welcome aboard, Gary! More videos on this mower coming this summer!
Appreciate you!!
Thank you!
Thanks man
No problem.
Appreciate you 👍
Glad I could help!
Subbed amigo - this was super helpful!!!!
Thanks, brother! More videos on this mower coming soon!
@@fixitFlip My 2024 XT1 46 came on Thursday. It has a separate choke knob - not the top position of the throttle speed like yours - wonder why? Also didn't have an hour meter...had to add an aftermarket one. So far loving the mower - wish I had more grass to cut today!
@@stevem.9022 A couple people have messaged me about the brand new models not having an hour meter. Pretty cheap move by Cub Cadet to save a few bucks. And they are an essential part of maintenance. Disappointing. First I have heard about the separate choke knob. Interesting, thanks for letting me know!
Great video. Many thanks!!
Thanks and no problem!
@@fixitFlip Quick question, bagger or lawn sweeper when it comes to leaf clean up? A lot of tress and a good sized lot. Thanks again!
@@izop134 I would go bagger OR just go mulching kit with good mulching blades and mow often! Depending on how many trees you many need the bagger.
@@fixitFlip Understood..Thanks for the tip.
@@izop134 No problem.
Please explain the AGM battery that is used for this mower, how can i convert to lead acid battery due to cost
I'm sure you're aware but disabling those safety features permanently is a game changer lol.
Ha ha, oh yeah. I just don’t want to be the reason somebody mows over their new puppy.
Great video flip and awesome mower! Where did you get those landscaping/utility boots? Those are nice!
Thank you sir! I got them from www.kujo.com
They are sweet!
I have bahia grass and it's know for dulling the blade. How would I remove the blade on something like this?
I just put up a video about how to remove the blades: ua-cam.com/video/fN5P9DYW6dc/v-deo.html
And a video about how to sharpen them: ua-cam.com/video/uPUGilzwnoI/v-deo.html
Hope that helps. Hit the like button for me if it does!
great informative video. Just got my cub cadet for my 3 acres. can't wait to use it. question: if you run out of gas mid job and have more yard to mow, can you just turn it off and put more gas in? or, do you have a cool down time period?
You can definitely just add gas right away! I maintain 9 acres of a park in the summers and I do it every day! (with a different mower) But I do it with this mower as well.
Thank you Fix It Flip I know how to operate it it's just fun to watch and I own a Cub Cadet 2009 older model LTX 1050 lawn tractor and how is your LT46 running now?😀😁
Also I might comment again soon is that ok?
@@ReidWarren-ic5rv Comment as much as you want. The more the merrier! Mine is running well. I just changed out the blades. I did a video on that. Check that out on my channel if you haven't already and let me know what you think!
What happened to the old Troy built Pony?
Ha ha, I finally decided to sell it and upgrade after about 10 years.
Can I go straight to mowing or do I gotta break in the engine?
You can go straight to mowing. Just need to do break-in oil change after using it for 5 hours.
I like Cub Cadet. I was going to get one on sale for 1000 dollars> but? it was cheaper just buy another engine. he hee plus i have a stock pile of parts and blades for the Pony> Also there not enough views on the XT1 46" I didn't want to buy it > Like the Craftsman T-140 get stuck with a hunk of junk>> I guess that why i didn't get the XT1 reminds me to much of the Craftsman T-140
Yeah, if you go up to the XT2 there are some quality upgrades. But you'll be spending more cash.
I have just under 2 acres at my house. I was looking at this at tractor supply. You guys think this would be reliable for that?
I do. Personally I wouldn't go any smaller than a 46 though.
@@AnX8765 Totally agree with all of this. I just meant this mower I guess. I got mine from a dealer (scratch and dent and fixed up)
Mine will not start . It sounds like it wants to turn over but just won’t start
Check the battery? Throttle all the way up?
Bend over CRAFTSMAN! I GOT SOME THING TO PARK SIDE WAYS IN YOU
lol
Craftsman and Club Cadet both produced by the same company, MTD.
@@midmoprepper4960 and where is MTD MADE AT? CHINA
@@midmoprepper4960yes
@@midmoprepper4960 Craftsman at Lowe's and ACE, Cub Cadet at Home Depot, TSC, and Dealer Network...Only difference is the Paint and Hood material, metal on Craftsman and plastic on Cub Cadet. Troy-Bilt are also basicly the same.
I just bought this mower today...$2700...will be delivered in a week
I've been very happy with mine. Check under the video in the description, I have links to all my "how-to" videos for this mower!
@@fixitFlip I will do that...thanks!
No problem! Enjoy the new mower!@@srose40
Just got my LT46 yesterday. I got it out of the crate. Will start it today.
