Great video. I feel like transmission fluid is often forgotten to be changed/flushed until a problem arises out of the transmission.
very true
Dude, I was shocked to see someone actually follow the temperature procedure. These U760E transmissions are fussy and if you just do a typical drain and fill type procedure it does not like it. THANK YOU FOR SHOWING THE PROPER WAY!!!!!
Good video. What size crusher washers on drain and fill plugs?
This is a first class video. Even though there's no narration the presentation is very clear.
Thank you. 🇦🇺👍
One question. How long did it take to warm up the oil to the correct temperature for setting the oil level? In my case it was 13 or 14 minutes.
I did mine (Camry 16 Le, 180k miles) with warm up 15-20 mins, about 100°F-129°F from thermal gun ($15) pointing to transmission oil pan while engine still running. I added (via 24mm fill hole) between 2.5-3 quarts ATF WS bought at Toyota dealer.
@@user-jg2sq1ht7f Thanks for that. Your advice is appreciated. 👍
That is a drain and fill, not a flush.
And yes, i watched all the video. If you keep flushing the way you showed until getting a clear color you will use 4 times more new fluid then if you take the ALL old one out and put new one, (which is a flush).
Very true most of the fluid is in the torque converter
I think you should not leave it until it drops
It is once the stream of fluid cut off like air going inside then you close the plug
I have a 2015 Toyota Camry. I have a problem with the gearbox. When I park the car for a long time and then put it in D, it lags when I start, when it starts, it runs smoothly. Have you had a similar problem? what can i do
How much would this cost? I have the same car and my transmission jerks 2nd to 3rd
I have a '15. When you put the car back up and check the fluid level is the engine running or off? The Toyota PDF is very confusing. Thanks!
Engine is on and in park.
When at operating temperatures, do you check the fluid levels with the car running or off?
6:00 in video
Is it nessesary to check the level on it if you put the same amount back in?
Such a weird way to check the level
Do you think it is necessary to change the filter as well and clean the oil pan at the same time?
I was wondering the same thing a channel that I checked out said he changed the filter at 100 k
I did mine. There was a lot of metal sludge on the magnets and the filter definitely should be changed seeing that.
Can I skip the temperature check for level by drain and refill with the same amount of fluid at room temperature?
I wouldn’t skip it
Technically no because it’s a different volume at different temperatures that’s also assuming it was set right in the first place
I'm confused what is the difference in draining or flushing out transmission? or are they same I bought 3 quarts of transmission fluid from the dealership and the parts guy, asked me if I was flushing out or just draining on a 2015 Camry if I'm flushing out, He said I needed 8 quarts instead of 3quarts lol please help
Yea that’s what I did .. watch the video repeat this procedure about 3 times or til transmission if clear red color
Is it ok to use aftermarket atf in 2013 camry or should I stick to genuine toyota atf?
I used Valvoline Tranny fluid for my suburban .. whatever makes you feel goos use it
No only use toyota transmission fluid
Hmmm filter ?
Confusing. Music distracting.
Wtf!…Where’s the Toyota WS fluid?
At Toyota dealership lol
That was not a Flush, it was a Drain and Refill.
If you read inside video it tell you that I did same procedure 3-4 times … I didn’t want to make video doing same thing 4 times lol
Please correct title, DRAIN & REFILL, not flush. You better indicate how much atf when you refilled. Thx.
Please correct yourself .. if you watch the whole video I wrote down to repeat procedure about 3 times
One should never flush a perfectly good working transmission. Just drain/clean pan and filter and refill
😂
This is a drain and fill, not a flush. Misinformation.
You don’t read the whole thing … repeat procedure couple times and it is a fully flush … get 8 quarts and keep repeating procedure .. it’s all in video
@@AutomotiveDysfunction Some people can't read.
Great video.
Good job man.
I guess they leave the old nasty filter in there too.
