Man Spent 4 Years Hand Making Full Scale Terminator T-800 Out Of Metal

  • Jamie Staff from Jaz Creations in Australia, spent 4 years making his own Full Scale Hand Made Metal Terminator T-800 Endoskeleton.
The T-800 has 230 movable joints and pistons. This included spine, hips, shoulders, knees, ankles, toes and fingers etc.
The T-800 is made from recycled aluminium, weighs more than 130kgs, has over 500 individual pieces, 280 bolts, and 60 hoses, it even has a set of acrylic denture teeth.
Just to be clear on one point Jamie’s version of the T-800 Endoskeleton is not 100% screen accurate, it’s a combination of the T-880 from Terminator 1 & 2 movies, plus his version is made so all the limbs can be poseable, where in the movies they are not.
The main motivation of the T-800 build came from being a fan of the first 2 films and being a Big fan of Stan Winston studio that brought the T-800 to life, but I always had a wish to own one, to have on display in a mancave
Jamie never kept track of how much money he spent on the build, as he mostly used recycled aluminium, he even melted down some old aluminium engine parts, but he did go through 30 x 9kg bottles of gas on the forge.
But to give you an idea of what it might be worth, he did tell me, you can buy a full scale T-800 replica made out of chrome plated resin for $10,000 dollars, but it’s just a static statue.
So as you can imagine, a full scale, handmade aluminium, fully poseable T-800, would be worth a lot of money.
    Thanks for watching.

@Chaabar Yakal No paradox here. Cyberdyne and Skynet are two different things. Cyberdynes engineers and technicans made both the CPU and Skynet. The CPU was so advanced it allowed Skynets AI to become self aware and capable of logical thought (not only mathematical calculations) which resulted with it coming to conclusion that humans are the ultimate threat. It then kept upograding the CPU and used it in constantly upgraded terminator units.

This is so awesome, The work jamie put into it and the passion behind it. Terminator is one of my favorite films and means alot to me, It blew me away as a child as it was so ahead of its time. That was the genuis of James cameron, Stan Winston and everybody else involved. Can only imagine how amazing it is to get feedback from the Stan Winston team, Ive got his book and love looking back at the legacy he created and left behind, while also passing the torch to the next generation, Trully a creative pionear. To dedicate this much time to something that inspires you and then get feedback like that from the team itself, well that should inspire us all.

I can see a lot fe imitating art, kind of scenario, where Cameron or someone else, trying resurrect the story, comes to you, asks to use it, some capacity.. Because again, you possess the only real, T800, in metal, and fully articulated!!!! And the display base, is an absolutely beautiful, original creation. Never sell it.
I spent all summer up until winter making a motorbike out of steel, and it's a one off. It took every bit of skill and determination I had to complete it. Hours of just polishing alone went into it. People have said "you could sell that for good money" but no amount of money will replace the pride I feel when I look at it everyday on my windowsill. When you are super pleased at how well something turned out that you spent pouring your heart into, in a dinky little shed in all weather, with not very good tools, it's a great feeling.
