random uploads101 Realistically they would make a X7M be a V8 4.4 from the M5, I doubt they would make a comp version so it would probably be a 600HP car which is still ridiculous
"powerful V8 SUV" and "mid-twenties mpg" will never exist together. It's physically and scientifically impossible. In order to be very powerful, you have to burn potent fuel and lots of it. You can't burn little fuel make lots of power. Best you can do is add a hybrid system on top of the V8, which takes some of the stress off the engine which can make it easier on fuel consumption. But when you want all that raw power, you can kiss that fuel economy goodbye. Nothing but a trade off
Working for a BMW dealership at the moment, so I've driven a couple of these on long drives across the state - I really dont care for the way this thing drives - lots of vague on center feel (as with most all new BMWs), and I usually have to turn off all the electrical driving aids whenever I hop into any new BMW because they are just plain annoying most of the time, and the new iDrive is much more complicated than the previous iDrive generation. The X7 is also noticeably narrower than other full size offerings from Cadillac, Infiniti, and Lexus. But hey, that's just my opinion. It drives good, just not great for how high priced they are - then again, I can say that for most new BMWs on the market.
Jim Fisher I actually love the way the x7 drives. The dealer didn’t have the x5 w air suspension available for test drive so they put me in an x7 instead. And I loved it. As I’m getting older w a family, I appreciate the softer, quieter ride and thought the x7 was perfect. Do you know how the ride of the x5 w air suspension compares to the x7? I hope they’re similar w the air suspension.
@@Wasabi9111 I cant recall if I've driven the new X5 with air suspension, but I did drop off a loaner X5 with regular suspension, and picked up a customer's X7 that was having issues with the air suspension (vehicle was sitting somewhat sideways, and wasnt leveling out). About a 4 hour trip, there and back - so pretty decent seat time in both cars. I think they both rode pretty similar, despite the X7 having air suspension. Have you driven a regular X5? You may like it, as well. We have a new X5 shuttle that I drive frequently, and yes, while it is nice - I actually prefer the driving dynamics of the last generation X5 diesel that we had as a shuttle. It just felt more planted, and confident feeling in the corners.
@@jfish9014 thanks Jim! how's the interior hwy noise? the X7 was extremely quiet on the highway. I'm hoping the x5 w/ the acoustic windows will be just as quiet.
@@Wasabi9111 very quiet! I do like the interior, I must say. If you don't need a third row of seating, I'd say definitely try out a non-air suspension X5 - it is still pretty comfortable.
BMWs new styling direction is HORRIBLE. Those kidney grilles are awful, their new front ends are goofy as hell, the lower bumper is just odd. Not digging their new rear ends either. Can’t stand the new 3-series.
$80k for a new one and the package includes 50% value depreciation after the next 3 years and about $5.000 of maintenance costs yearly I assume. One has to be out his of mind or have no respect for his hard-earned money to buy this thing.
Each model gets bigger than the previous one. Can it be because tiny men feel more important when their cars get bigger. When i saw the presenter in front of the huge grill, i remembered the small flies smashed on the bumper and around the grill on high speed journeys. To sum up, the car and the owner should be proportionate.
19:00, what you all waiting for.
I saw one of these IRL for the first time yesterday. The big ass grill isn't as ugly in person.

noypi25 also endless performance😉 performance isnt cheap, you just dont love cars as much
i wish they still made the x50. They have the M50 but I hate the sportiness, I want the V8 + the luxury.
Wow. Now that is something I would buy if I were super rich. :oD Gorgeous SUV. That key fob alone is worth more than my life. XD

review a Toyota Sienna
Grills are becoming more and more obnoxious
Very Nice Review.
Nice review. Where was it filmed?
Thanks! Union, Washington.
"In person it works" - every car reviewers excuse for not just calling an ugly design ugly
Alex Barn I agree with them, in person it doesn’t look as bad.
nice Review: 2019 BMW X7 xDrive50i
Looks like a sporty mini-van from the side
Engine’s nice, grill still too big. Though it almost gets justified with how much cold air this engine needs.
grill is at a ok size
Black out that grill you have badass bigass bmw

Can’t wait for BMW X7 M!
BASITH PH, BMW doesn’t plan on offering it.
May be the X7 S, not the M...
regal nails, no...there will be an X7 M50i and Alpina XB7.
AJ Lee oooh Alpina XB7 would be so cool
The front and side profiles look great. The rear looks like a Kia Sorento. Yikes!
Josh Clontz lol the front is trash
Too long.... keep your video short and str8 to the point. 10 mins max
Wait until the updated V8 engine gets dropped in this phone with 5.5 horsepower!!
The name is absurdly confused. They should have named it Fred.
gets annoying when camera is focused on the driver instead of the road
