@@vipset87 Yeah. Slideshot and either explosive light or surrounded put out more damage per second than Apex. You just gotta be able to utilize slideshot. I personally pair it with rain of fire on my warlock and shoot, slide, shoot, icarus dash, repeat. Works pretty well if you can land your shots. Crux termination is a beast with the right rolls, it's just that it's an unfarmable world drop. Can also roll bipod too if you just want the rocket economy.
I still remember using the cave cheese on Nessus to complete the sunshot and graviton catalysts.

The loot cave area in Cosmodrome is still good for completing catalysts. I’ve completed many exotics there

I could never get a decent Mercurial Overreach roll but I do have Mechabre with fluted barrel/accurized/snapshot/opening shot/handling MW as an alternative. It’s a perfect 5/5 sniper roll I love it.

@@martincapek96 It's very good too, personally I am still salty about not getting lucky enough to get the original snapshot + opening shot roll. Snipers are basically a personal preference thing as long as they have good perks + decent stats

Unending tempest with fragile focus is underrated. Max 88 range with a perfect roll plus fragile focus and moving target is nasty. Fav roll hands down

Only thing missing from this list was graviton lance to complete the enrgy add clear trifecta for light elements tbh. Its literally sunshot but void and with a lot more range and free overshields. I hate how underrated it is honestly.
I was a big fan of Outbreak, but after I tried Graviton, it made Outbreak look like a joke (except for primary dps).

The positive outlook from vanguard rewards is way better then ammit it can get zen moment and kill clip and 3 more meters of range.

As someone who's played less than 20 gambit games, my bottom dollar with Hammer Forge, Acc Rounds, Rangefinder and Expl Payload is to this day my luckiest drop.
I cant drop conditional finality in pve aswell, its utility is unmatched being able to completely disregard all 3 champion types, plus clutch freezes even on non stasis subclass, and huge on demand damage for bigger targets 🙏
SInce the Chill Clip nerf, Conditional completely replaced Riptide for me. Pretty fun to spam the freeze on a single champion with Rain of Fire skipping the reload lol.

Conditional is only okay in its current state because bubbles dominate trials. Very few things counter bubbles besides supers and having the ability to fight back while there's a bubble on the point is what stops me from wanting it nerfed
Sweet Business is the pinnacle of Crucible gameplay and you can't change my mind.
Hard to use dragonz breath when polaris lance and sunshot is down right amazing thus season

I'd say a good stand in for igneous hammer is targeted redaction. I have mine with enhanced keep away and well rounded and it feels incredibly snappy. You can also craft it with explosive payload to push that range out even further and to help flinch your opponent even more in a duel.

I remember trying that one and it was awful but it was before I got used to Igneous too. I might give it another go and see if I can make it work now. Explosive Payload would be kinda cool, might even be better than rose for me.

Man, I’m so tired of using conditional bro, but nothing can do what it does.
I would say rose and TL fatebringer are tied for the best pvp hand cannon only because fatebringer can roll explosive and eye at the same time. Those in my opinion the best dueling perks in the game
Apparently the new World Drop Arc rocket launcher is even better than Apex. I got both and utilize the element for my subclass. It’s a world drop though, so hopefully you get the Reconstruction/Envious Assassin + Explosive Light roll. People rave about surrounded for the 40% damage effect but you need 3+ enemies to proc, where explosive light just requires an orb of light and can stack to X6 for better Boss dps.
Edit: Rocket Launcher name is Crux Termination IV.
Its worse then apex because no B&S meaning much lower overall damage. Also surrounded is not difficult to proc in most DPS phases allowing for far more overall damage than explosive light (surrounded is 35% on explosion and 40% on impact for rockets).
@@HighFiveGhostenjoyer428 tell that to all the new DPS numbers from various UA-camrs 👍🏽 simple search will show you. Plus it being a Non-Endgame legendary weapon just makes it even better. A prosperity mod and simple strikes playlist and you’ll snatch one up quick. I get about 10+ a week where Apex you have to get lucky from encounters, and more so finding a team who wants to run the raid. Like I said, both are great, but Apex lost the lead for sure in DPS numbers alone.

@@yeyo12345 Bro I never said the DPS of crux is worse, ofc crux has the best DPS of any rocket cus slideshot allows you to hit the fire rate cap on a rocket. No other rocket will even come close to crux for that reason (unless they give us another slideshot aggressive/adaptive).
Buttttt for most encounters in the game apex is still better since its not difficult to get all of your rockets (with B&S procced) off in a damage rotation and will give you higher overall damage then explosive light crux without having to bootyslide all over the well and potentially blow teamates up.
And as much as I like surrounded, its not always consistent during damage phases.
I think most of crux terminations viability comes from things like speedrunning, but for 95% of scenarios most people are still choosing apex for its ease of use and higher overall damage.
EDIT: Also, I wouldn't trust aztecross when it comes to damage testing, his videos often include bias to the weapon he is reviewing (look at his revision zero review for example) and omissions (in the video you sent, he doesn't even include anything like izi swapping with apex) that make other weapons look bad. Aegis and Llama are much better when it comes to things like testing as they have a much more thorough understanding of things like DPS rotations, true damage values etc and their testing never contains bias.
Glad to know the Apex model not loading isn't just happening to me.

you probably want Killing wind or moving target, bit subsistence is still good, but not better than the options i mentioned. More important than subsistance is the barrel option, masterwork and, second perk option. You want anything that gives you range as your barrel option, smallbore is a great choice because it also gives stability, accurized rounds for the range bonus, target lock, and a range masterwork. The third column perk already depends on where you plan to use it.

Yeah but sadly only unstoppables. For whatever reason the freeze effect doesn't count as "slow" for overloads and overload/barrier champs break out of freeze very quickly. Unless you run radiant and can shoot through barriers but still. Might be kinda cool if next artifact has anti-barrier or anti-overload shotguns though to double dip into conditional.
@@ValiantNomad iirc the freeze stunned unstops but i havent played much since week 1 of s23 so i might be misremembering. and it's easy to finish off a barrier when frozen using a rocket.
@@mikealgiers7852 Freeze and ignition both stun unstops, so you don't automatic get the the double anti champ unless you get radiant
@@mikealgiers7852 And also it's rough to do a shotgun-rocket combo fast enough considering you have to get pretty close with conditional to freeze champions in PvE. Especially in higher end content where it takes more effort to freeze them without being instantly 1 shot.
Personally I prefer Cold Comfort just as it can fire 4 rockets in a row without any damage penalty while also getting a 35% buff
That and Crux Termination. I assume he left them out because they're both RNG rolls and Apex is craftable but who knows.
@@ValiantNomad Probably I also forgot that cold is apart of a frame that has a slightly higher dps and total damage than Apex if I remember correctly same with the Termination rocket you mentioned

Graviton Lance not sure how that was overlooked. Easily one of the best add clear weapons and intrinsic Vorpal.
If Bungie sped up how long it took for Cosmology to start exploding then I would 100% agree with you. It's otherwise frustrating how much time there is between the corpses flying away, enemies moving in the opposite direction of said corpse, and the corpse finally exploding. :(

I thought mechurial was the best sniper and I got a god roll of it with 3 thousand pvp kills, but I went back and used beloved for something to do and that sniper hits way more crazy and easy mode headshots. So now I use beloved again as my main but mechurial is still really good all the same just beloved played better in game for me.
Snipers are very feel based imo. It's very largely about preference on what is best. Cloudstrike is definitely a cut above for multi kill potential though
@@2intheampm512 Well yeah but they have different aim assist come angles and stuff too and I got thousands of kills with snipers and just some are way more generous. Cloudstrike yeah is the best because of the exotic perk. As a sniper though Cloudstrike is bad but doing what it can do easily makes it the number 1 for sure.

Funny thing is, Apex is no longer the king of rocket DPS anymore. Crux Termination with surrounded/explosive light and slideshot is better now, just requires you to be a tiny bit good at movement. 130k dps compared to the 85-90k dps of Apex Predator now, and it's a world drop rather than a raid weapon. So expect to see that quickly pop up in the meta now. I'd honestly put it above Apex now.

Supremacy is also an outstanding option for a PVP sniper 90 aim assist I personally don't get the hype around conditional finally the only thing it's actually good for is super and Powerplay shutdowns 10 stability - 1.25 Flinch which means it has negative flinch and 4.6m of range it's the shotgun with the least amount of Range in the entire game on par with some rare and uncommon aggressive shotguns when it comes to range stability I don't get why you didn't put or even giving honourable mention to the tarrabah and the huckleberry both have 19.6m of range have above average stats the tarrabah can get down to 0.33ttk and the huckleberry can get to .53 ttk passively just by shooting and down to a .40 ttk with rampage stacked I get the not everyone wants to play with the same guns for years on end but a lot of weapons are still just as good if not better than the so-called meta by no means is just a jab at you as a content creator I love your videos and I respect the grind a lot of people don't actually realise how hard it is I only have love and respect for you brother doing what you do and I'll be here to watch your rise
Conditional has 95 handling which is near pre nerf quickdraw levels of handling on an Aggresive frame shotgun, it also has an intrinsically better pellet spread than all other Aggresive frames so the low range is irrelevant + the shatter/ignition can multikill enemies grouped up. It is not just a bubble and well counter it’s by far the best shotgun in pvp it has 0 weaknesses.

Sunshot is goated ill give you that but only cracked this season because of the artifact mods just like polaris. Lumina is not top tier, it gives bonus damage but that's not even used in speed runs. Trinity ghoul is bad in anything legend or higher stop kidding yourself. Osteo is ad clear good but not better. The fact that you can have a stable 720 that creates high damage grenade shots and tangles makes it highly viable in legend higher. You're kidding yourself to think otherwise.

Sunshot isn't just good because of the artifact mods like polaris, it synergizes perfectly with solar allowing for empyrean extensions while having some of the best add clear in the game.
Claiming that lumina is not used in speedruns (which I'm fairly sure is just a bullshit claim anyway) means nothing, like when has quicksilver been used in a speedrun? maybe in like 1 or 2 VERY specific situations. It is also still by far the best support weapon in the game being used occasionally in day 1s and also dungeon boss bakes
Trinity ghoul is still absolutely usable in master and gm content, christ it was cracked in my day 1 crota clear on abyss and bridge. Basically all garbage tier enemies outside of cabal still die in one shot to it.
Osteo strigas ad clear is objectively better then quicksilvers, the nerf did practically nothing and it is not even close.
Quicksliver has mediocre add clear and a grenade shot that is completely invalidated by the sheer amount of heavy, special and abilities that we generated nowadays.
Its not a terrible weapon by any means but it is MASSIVLEY overrated by the crowd of people who use it (bad-ok tier players that don't fully understand how special and heavy ammo generation works) because they heard Datto say that its the best gun in the game and now they all use it. Think about it, why is it that you never see any of the top tier players use the weapon? Because it is an incredibly meh weapon that has been overused by people who do not fully understand simple game mechanics and would rather use an easy to use weapon that is just ok, then use a very strong loadout that actually takes investment to get the most out of.
Conditional isnt really that overpowered lol. I would be fine if they cut the handling a bit, i think thats the only nerf it deserves
I think the fact that Conditional can consistently counter things like bubbles/well while ALSO being a damn good gun is what has made everyone and their mother use it

Root is arguably the easiest raid in the game
I dissagre on the nezarec fight, if I, the worst raider to ever raid a raid, can find a lfg group to farm conditional finality and succeed in get it, anyone can (so long it is the featured raid of course), rng is the true gatekeeper of it, I talked to this guy on his 80th try and still not exotic, in fact, after our group disbanded he still didn't have it, God bless his soul.

Acrius is not the 5th best weapon in PVE…not even close. Nowhere near!
Shayura and Unending Tempest are SO OVERRATED it's not even funny. They fire too slow, the range is NOT like an AR like everyone claims, you just lose more fights even if hitting all crits as the RPM is too low. Almost every HC or 900 SMG blows you away.
I prefer Sunshot's prettier cousin, Epochal Integration. Insane and doesnt take a exotic slot

Finality is very controversial, it's really good in PVE for Champs and can be a good damage weapon when you run out of heavy. Sure it's very good in PVP but it can feel pretty inconsistent, it's also the most reliable counter to well and bubble in trials, it definitely has its place in the meta
The game is trash. I would go so far as saying that PvP in this game is unplayable. They should just remove it
