Great swing and great power. It's unfortunate concussions derailed his career. One of the nicest guys to play the game. Always will be a fan favorite of Twins territory!
He was my favorite player as a kid. We shared a birthday and he threw me a ball at the Metrodome. I was looking at his baseball reference page and saw that before he suffered his first concussion, he was on pace for his 5th consecutive season of 20+ homeruns and 100+ RBIs. It's a shame he had so many head injuries.
i watched him get his concussion live. it's a huge shame, but baseball is about more than stats. morneau and mauer were great team leaders and role models. they were totally my heroes growing up.
Same. Then I sat across the aisle from him on the plane ride home since he left the trip early to get checked out. Sunglasses on the whole time, and I remember him just looking so sad.
You think all that time "man don't pitch that guy high" and then he smacks a Nate Jones sinker at his ankles into space. This guy in his prime swung a mean stick.

You aint kiddin. Saw him at a game and even his foggy eyes could tell you....this man is injured.
One of my favorite Twins players ever. 2006 AL MVP, so sad his 2010 season was derailed because he was sooo good that year.
Could have been a HOF if he didn’t get his concussion. Look at his stats that year before he got injured
no he wouldn't
joe wash look at his stats before 2011 before he had the concussion
joe wash he would have
Dude was an incredible player
Him and Mauer both.
He was good, but would not have been a HOFer.
What an awesome player he is!
Would have loved to have seen some defensive Morneau highlights. He could really pick it at first. Baseball is more exciting than just home runs.

Did Milwaukee burn the videos of him busting up their scoreboard?! I didn’t see that in this.

@@RABaltera Depressing story, but he isn't remembered by what could have been, but by how he dominated.
@@RABaltera Assuming you're a Twins fan we know too well shortened careers and lives (Roberto Clemente)

had concussion issues and still won a batting title with Colorado when he was older. Goat
Him and Mauer got me into baseball
some hardcore morneaugraphy
I was at that Tigers game that leads off this video. Awesome game and was made better by being my daughter's first game!
Dozier, Mauer, Morneau, Cuddyer, Escobar. I miss those days
Hunter
Very good memories
Twins v Brewers, metrodome at full capacity, and the game being broadcast on ESPN… Interesting
I always liked Morneau more than Mauer.
I think there both great
I heard they were lovers.
Me too, but Mauer was the "hometown kid."
You didn’t even show his 3HR game versus the White Sox!?!
Justin literraly said give the HR trophy to Hamilton. Class act.
MY COUSIN! I LOVE YOU MAN
Believe what you want brother.
4:56 miss Bramer’s excitement not there in 2023
Goat
Would have been a HOF if he didn’t get concussion issues
