It would be cool to see some building trick guides. Like efficient designs on different science packs and how to easily set up a mall. Love your videos, keep up the good work 👍
Biggest use for buffer chests is that if you include buffer chests in your designs with materials used to build that blueprint then logistics bots can help bring materials closer to the build site. Normally logistics bots couldn't get involved in construction but this enables them to.
I use them instead of provider chests everywhere I can. I set request of full chest of items, but set limit for manipulators by logic to not fill chest above a half. Doing so I still can use them as provider chests, but whenever I come back to base and have exceeding items in my inventory bots will drop these items exactly to dedicated chests. This approach have two major advantages: mall doesn't overproduce items and I don't need big area of storage chests to store all of said exceeding items. The disadvantage is that it is time consuming to set all requests and limits, but having blueprints for whatever you need solves this problem.
@@frosty7269 On the birght side with 2.0 you'll be able to have the buffer and assembler both set by a logic network, so you can just stamp down a blueprint and change the constant combinator to set assembler, inserter, and buffer chest all at once.
@@frosty7269 I usually find it's a better idea to connect the inserter to the logistics network, and then set a limit based on what is present in the logistics network, so you can just duplicate machines without having buffers of items in the wrong places, and you can also make it an active provide chest, so items get removed immediately upon being built, and pushed into a better positioned storage chest, and on top of that you can construct and deconstruct those machines without having excess items overflow into storage.
Never had problem understanding him tbh, in fact, for me it's easier to understand people with thick foreign accents than people who speak English as their first language.
Some advanced insights: - When connecting inserters to logistic networks, make sure they are in logistic networks, otherwise you'll wtf for some serious time. They don't give that flashing warning like the chests. - only logistic bots can supply you or remove items from the trash slots, BUT construction bots can pick up items from your personal trash slots if that satisfies a building request.

I have a blueprint book just for deconstruction planners, because there's a few good ones. Rocks and trees only, for clearing ground. Items on ground, for a few dropped items or if you unequipped power armor with a full inventory. Building ghosts only, to remove blueprints without deconstructing other things. Everything _except_ power poles, storage, and roboports for deconstructing that doesn't mess with it's own infrastructure. You can set it to whitelist or blacklist, depending on what you need.

Regarding those weird numbers when pasting recepies into requestor chests: they are "configured to request enough ingredients for 30 seconds of continuous crafting". This is so when my bots are clearing rocks, or I am tearing down an on old build that used raw stone for something, the bots will carry the stone to be fed into my concrete/landfill production line.
