Dear Thomas,
So nice to finally put a face to the name after watching all these years! I've always enjoyed your quips and witty one liners, your contributions to this channel have been great.
Keep being you, keep up the great work and I hope to see you more often on the channel.
Your kind words are much appreciated --Thomas
Good video. Love hearing Thomas's point of view
Thomas please make more appearances, sir you are an unsung hero.
You need to make another batch of that Spyderco Shaman.
I'd love one, S90V is awesome and you know Spyderco does an awesome job with the heat treat on all their steels, I would also love to see one in Magnacut, I might be wrong but I don't think there's been a Shaman done in Magnacut yet
Yes please .
@@Bearded_Ham75s90v is cool, i’m tempted to pickup that s90v siren sprint.
My steel choices are as follows. Oh yeah, the Burlap is cool! AEB-L, CPM-154, CPM-SPY27, LC200N, CPM-4V (with new coating), CPM-3V (with new coating), CPM-MagnaCut and lessen the price a bit (not a steel choice, but I think people would like that idea.)
MAN it is good to see Thomas in front of the camera again! Thomas is great, whether in front of the lens or behind it (more in front time, please!)
Super cool to see the man behind the background madness! Hi Thomas!
Hi! "Background madness" is an apt description. --Thomas
@@knifecenter Keep truckin brother! 💪
I find knives at antique stores and clean them up, sometimes I sell them for profit but most of the time I carry them.
Thomas totally doesnt look like what I expected - but in a good way - would totally have a beer with him
Beer is good. --Thomas
Good job guys. Thomas - it was good to hear your take. Come on more often.
I fully agree!
Love the Seiko Monster he's wearing, great taste in knives & watches
I pair my Lil Native with Seiko Turtle.

Just got my DCA MKM Pocket Tango Nessmuk in Olive wood. Love the knife
I don't know why I haven't gotten the MKM sheath earlier. Very practical and intuitive! The magnet sliding it in and out seriously gives me a peace of mind it's going to slide back in and secured. Love it. 🍻♥️
That lunar landing sebenza is sooo sooo cool!
That Boker double detent would be a great answer to the wedding knife question.
Great episode and awesome hosting! So many neat knives shown too, that sleek Tactile Bexar was my personal fav of the day.
Great vid guys, always nice to see different perspectives. Also nice to see other folks from knife centre, keep the good work!
It’s always good to see Seth V, but getting Thomas on camera and offering his opinion is excellent! And as a big fan of Viper Knives, I appreciated this entire video! Thanks guys!
Seth's contribution, knowledge, a.s.o. ???????????????????
The only way to become a millionaire collecting knives is by starting as a multi-millionaire.
This is one of the most enjoyable episodes in recent memory - thanks guys!
This was an amazing episode, loved seeing both Seth and Thomas!
I bought that burlap shaman from you guys summer of 22....love it!
Howdy from Texas! Nice show guys! Thanks for all the info! Saddle up!
I keep my knife collection in a rolling tool chest. Every once and awhile when I get a cool sticker I like I stick it to the chest somewhere. This others just go in one of those drawers
You MUST be related to me…..I had a harbor freight multiple tray one…..:)
Anything sold as "collectible", isn't.
Are you saying I shouldn’t have invested in beanie babies???
Great job to you both. A very enjoyable watch!
Seth and Thomas you make a great team. And thank you for not stating Larger than average hands. It’s been a relaxing and excellent program. Thank you
Hi Thomas. I think that You are the best thing about this channel actually
Absolutely !
Really enjoyed this video. Nice job guys!!
Great job guys. I really enjoyed this video concept & personality wise. Thanks.
Additionally, on the damascus patterning, think of it like a tree stack of paper. If some sheets in the stack are black and some sheets are white, you will only see that patterning on the "show" side, not on the "spine". Damascus has a grain just like wood or any other layered material.
Well done Seth and Thomas! Always good to see you guys in the videos.
Excellent episode. Probably added more blades to my wishlist than any previous episode, even that small kitchen knife!
right on thomas good to see the reverse tanto king instead of just hearing him
Thanks for the info. Great video
Great job guys!
Thanks for the tip down options. It's all i carry
Great video guys!!!
YaaaaaY, Thomas was on! We need more Thomas shows. Also, give him Mo'Money for all of the great work he does K.C.!😁
Great show guys!
🙂🙃🙂🙃🙂
My first Benchmade knife was a 300. I love that knife and I keep it scalpel sharp. I carry it tip up and it opened up in my pocket. I had it in my left front pocket for some reason. I reached into my pocket to retrieve some change and got a nasty cut on one of my knuckles. I really don't mind tip down carry for that reason.
I'm not in this for $, so for me I just buy what I like and want. And yes some of them are worth more than I paid, but that's not what this hobby is about for me! I truly enjoy knives so if the value goes up awesome! If not I still enjoy using and collecting regardless. Nice shirt Thomas!
Surprise indeed!
Thanks for the fun episode!
I LOVE the Viper Hug! I got that bronze variant as well; it looks fantastic. It's HEAVY though, so maybe the original titanium ones would be easier to carry day to day, even if they are more expensive.
G'day Knife Center.! So how do we get the t-shirt that Thomas is wearing.? Great show gentlemen even DCA will approve. Maybe next time we can have a Seth, Thomas & Josh Show..?! Cheers from Australia.
Thanks for answering my question!
I remember people used to do this with Busse knives, although I don't know if that's still a thing.
Their Battle Mistress, the original one, used to go for a ridiculous price on the secondhand market.
Just FYI: in Germany, you can carry either one-handed opening or locking, but not both together. My favorite carry is the Real Steel H7 Free. Theoretically two-handed opening but you can flick it open and it has a back lock. Otherwise, double detent knives or fixed blades up to 12cm are also nice.
@@viewviewview1236 No, no limits on real tools - unless you take a claw hammer to a club or event.
Great job guys
I would LOVE a version of the Kizer Amicus with 14C28N, or even Magnacut! I might have to start commenting this on every video til someone notices!
EXCELLENT JOB!
I wish i had bought a leatherman crunch when came out, anywhere from 200 to 400 on ebay.
More Seth and Thomas!!!!!
If cross bar lock is to axis lock/ able lock/ etc… should slot lock be for compression lock/ other similar lock types?
Is it common for a new knife to chip its edge easily the first few times you sharpen it? I have a Spyderco PM 2 in Cru Wear that I bought from you but it seems to chip its edge under light use. Only fully sharpened once fully and then a few strops sessions but it has chipped or rolled its edge a in different spots a few times.
" ...larger than average presence...", newest Thomas's Quotes Hits. Just having fun. Thanks guys.
Depends on the knife. I have a very lightly used Benchmade Rukus 610 (not the Mini) that's worth far more than its 'new in box' price.
thomas is the goat of this video and his bali flipping was a pleasant surprise! also the lunar landing sebenza.. sheeeeeesh!
Is there a clip available for a "tip-up deep carry" Kershaw leek ???
I'm looking for a knife to make long cuts on leafy veggies, and trailing points seem to look like a profile I'd have a good time doing so with. I've considered a Sharpfinger/Schrade 152OT or Spyderco Bow River. Any input or better suggestions, preferably stainless and around the $50 price range (and maybe even with an interesting color or pattern like the Bow River)?
QUESTION
I want a shaman which one has the best steel and most comfortable handle?
Hey KC crew / DCA... I have been loving my KC exclusive Pocket Tango... however I have learned that a mirror edge polish actually seems to make it's cutting and slicing worse (which it seems is true of most EDC edges).... thus my question : what edges or scenario's would you use with a mirror polished edge vs a less refined edge?
Thanks in advance.
Dude! The sticker on the water bottle phenomenon! I know exactly what you are talking about!
Hi, I recently bought the Black Fox B Key knife to use as necklace because I was looking for a knife that did not look like a knife. Though I am happy with my choice I would like to know what other knives out there could be used as a necklace that do not look like knives? thanks!
Great show today boys
Brilliant video
Finally got a CRK thanks to this video. Thanks bros!
Knives are tools, not investments. The more tools you have in your tool box, the better your crafts will go. BTW, I'm looking for a really high end tungsten carbide bushcraft knife. Thomas, you rock!
Hey Thomas!!! Good to see you!!
Good to be seen! --Thomas
stickers on the tool box. bonus points if its a tool cabinet. mine is covered in stickers from whatever comes in.
Hey guys, I hope DCA is okay, but I'm fairly new to the knife world and i don't know that many good value knives or knife brands and was looking for some options. I'm looking for a premium feeling knife around the $100 - $250 mark though if its a bit over that's fine and, due to knife laws in my country, ideally it would have a blade under 3.35 inches. If you do answer this thank you very much and I love your content.
I got my first Spyderco Sprint run a couple weeks ago n I could see that possibly going up in value.. same with any rarer dealer exclusive. But definitely not the best sound investment xD Would love to add a Chris Reeves to my collection at some point!
Big market gap, a large stainless survival knife with good steel. Specifically, a 14C28 fixed blade with 7-9+ inch blade. The closest I can find is the Bear and Sons big bowie with 12C27. This could be an awesome knife about half the price of similar sized 3V.
I bought a Chris Reeve fixed blade 30 years ago. It now sells as a used knife for 10 times the price.
With David you’re just just a great team’’
The talent pool at knife centre is deep
*No lifeguard on duty
Another reason for tip down that just occurred to me would be less pocket lint and dirt getting caught in the pivot area so cleaning might be less frequent?
Thomas !!!! Yesssss
My gun safe is where I put most my stickers.
My coolers & laptops get some sticker love too.
Not a chance in hell-the amount of new knives released and rereleased nowadays makes a notion of investment absurd; retailers or anyone watching this video knows this.
7:40 No sell, only buy. This is the way.
Hey KC crew (and maybe DCA?).
Can you recommend me a 2.5 to 3.5 inch blade length fixed or folding knife that I can kind of mindlessly / endlessly run on my pocket sharpening stone and strop
Question for the knife center crew. My collection focus has moved towards quality and more strict personal preference vs quantity. With that I got myself a new large Sebenza with (my fav.) the Insingo blade. This will tie up my funds for a good while. What else (other than chasing purchases and deals) can I do to keep my knife thrill and hobby fresh? All I come up with is learn to sharpen better. Any and all thoughts will be appreciated.
It's not a short term game, it's a long term game if you're buying to make money with knives, once a knife is old and discontinued especially with a good name brand behind it that's when you'll make money
What is the best/easiest way to sell knives as an individual?? I would like to sell some of my unwanted or just not carried knives to fund the purchase of some upgrades to my collection. Where do you post your knives for sale and how does the shipping and handling all work? I have never really sold anything let alone knives any information would be greatly appreciated.
My approach is to buy what I know I like and know I will carry. I've never sold anything. Given a few to friends, though.
When is the spyderco manix 2 xl in cruecarta going to come out!!!!? 😭
Nailed it boys!
Great job Seth and Thomas
I have a question: how exactly does the Rockwell scale work at a business level?
I understand they use this scale to describe how hard blade steels are and that it usually means that a harder knife is both better with edge retention but usually more brittle, but how do blade companies test blades for this scale?
Thanks for the info, I watch all your videos as they come out.
The last weding I went, wearing a Cold steel recon tanto fixe blade 7’’ sk5 steel razor sharp in a showder hoolster under a pretty shirt..discrete but not allowed at all where I live but not a very sure country so..
Nice seiko Seth! Thomas is the dude hahahaha!
Yeah Thomas!!! Good to see you
Good to be seen. --Thomas
Question: Any suggestions for a multi-tool geared towards use at the range? Bit driver and pliers mandatory, accessorize as needed. Thanks gents!
Carried a Leatherman Skeletool for years. All I was missing when visiting the range was a bit kit. kcoti.com/3Qw3gDe --Thomas
Hope DCA is OK. But my most expensive is the K/C Exclusive Native 5 in Cruwear, but I have bought Case Qsp and Buck knives from you as well, but i buy knives based on my wants not future profits. I want to enjoy my knives before i croak 😂🦉
Hey dca and knife center crew. my question is about the website. I think it would be cool if we could rank knives on our wish list from 1 to 5 or some kind of ranking system. For me and I'm sure others my wife goes on there to buy me knives and it would help if they were ranked ( even though I want them all ) just a thought that might be a cool feature
Question:
Hey DCA can you please start producing and selling taco style kydex sheaths for the Pocket Tango? I would buy 3 of them. Love the knife, mine is green micarta/nessmuk blade. The sheath it comes with is really nice and works great for it's intended application, but I have other carry needs. I need one kydex sheath with an Ulticlip so I can attach it to the hip belt or shoulder strap of my backpacking pack, one with a G-clip or something similar for scout carry on the waistband of the lightweight jogging shorts I wear on day hikes, and one with no clip so I can carry it as a neck knife in camp. Love the videos! Keep up the great work Knife Center crew!
If you bought a lot of non-budget knives before the recent inflation spike, it's possible to sell them for more on the secondary market, especially if they're discontinued or limited edition. Of course it's a buyer's market because of that same inflation limiting the number of people who have the spare cash and then you'll probably go out to buy a lot of the knives you just sold again for more, so results may vary. I don't sell any of my own knives, but I've given away quite a few.
Right up until just recently, when Case released the Longhouse, a production front flipper made in the USA was a pretty noticeable gap in the market, IMO.
thank u gentlemen
David I would like to know what is the difference between CPM-SPY27 and CPM-S90v steel.
Vosteed actually makes a pretty good 8" chefs knife. And you can't go wrong with a GEC slipjoint.
Sick knife center shirt!
