Oooohhh my God!
That dagger sheath just did it for me.
I’m getting one as soon as they release.
Even though I can’t make it to blade show this is still my favorite time of year. Keep the videos coming DCA. Thanks!
Nicely done! I’ve been discovering this brand lately and the key impression is: Boker designs the knives as a whole system, not just trying to push a new trendy steel or a fashion de jour lock. They deliver a well balanced system that delivers more performance than you pay for, at least that’s how I feel about my growing collection.
I've been a fan for a long time. Their bad is really bad, but their great is really great.
They've been around since the 1500's
History dagger, SOLD! I'm on that right now.
Same for me . I don't need one but I will buy one😂
Love that triangle spike dagger.
Guys, c'mon! Give Guy Poggetti his deserved credit! The sanjo is his design, and it looks faithful to his customs. And he's showing at blade show, better stop by his booth!!!
Sleeve dagger..... I'm getting one!
I read somewhere that a wound from a 3 sided blade took much longer to heal which lead to higher infection rates.... Definitely cooler than a cucumber in a bowl of friggin' hot sauce, baby❤
I always love bokers designs. But I kind of wish they'd go with 14C28N over vg-10.
Agreed, I'm sure they will have a sprint run with s35v
14c is good if your going to be hitting it with a hammer but it's behind even super budget steels like 440a in terms of edge retention... give me VG-10 any day
FALSE. 14C has waaaaaaay better edge retention than 440A or 420hc.
@israelchildress4523 Haha no it doesn't .
Also I don't remember mentioning 420HC...
@israelchildress4523 I like 14C, Nitro-V a long with most of the other low tier stainless steels but it was only ever promoted by prominent people like Larrin Thomas due to its balanced property's. Like most, you're just a victim of the hype train. I bet you think Nitro-V also out cuts 440a because it's the latest trend and has a sick name.
Thank you Boker for reducing your billboarding. Hope other companies follow
mini smachete thing is a vibe indeed
Its about the only thing I want from this. They ought to do a proper OG smatchet under their history blades line.
@@presidentmerkinmuffley6769 for real, they could do very well if they did some limited edition history blades, its like a win win, they make $$$ , and the customer gets something that holds value.
Some really nice designs! Thanks
Boker has really stepped it up with their designs. I will say that I'd have liked to see the Boker Magnum blades made with at least 440C. The blade quality would've been so much better for not much more. I see three on the table calling my name; the SOE dagger, the Boker Plus MUK, and the Boker Plus W1. Great job Boker!
I am loving the new locking mechanism from Vosteed Knives!!!
I love my history. That sleeve dagger, Will buy it. Looks great.
That “sleeve dagger” looks like a Cold Steel Delta Dart. Nice stuff.
That tripple edge fixed blade is absolutely beautiful!!!! That will be on my to buy list ASAP. When will this blade be available?????
a quality sub $20 bali trainer is awesome. excited for the wrist spike and other historical recreations coming down the pike
Man, Boker has some design chops. I've loved what they've been releasing lately. Well done!
I love that Atropos design by Chuck Gedraitis. the folding dagger. looks so sweet
I really like the sliplock and the super light tanto.
I never knew I needed a triple edge sleeve dagger until now.
Boker has really stepped their game up in the last few years. Love the new blades!
Last time I was this early, it was still "only two weeks to flatten muh curve"
Lots of solid stuff from Boker! Didn't think they could come out with even more interesting knives after what they debuted at Shot Show!
The Magnum lineup is evolving so impressively 👏👏👏
What is the 3 sided dagger called?? When will it be available! Need one!!!
Some cool stuff in there!
I have 3 boker plus XS with broken back springs from light use .(Slip joints due to local laws). Different years, different sub models,(new graham & knife center)I reached out to Boker USA and Boker Germany. No response. Not quite the reaction that I received from Buck or Spyderco (great) when I had a problem.
Boker is bringing out some nice stuff. I got one of their Kalashnikov autos in CTS-XHP and it’s a super nice cutter. I wish they would do something to make their finishes a little more durable though.
That kwaiken thing looks sick
So happy about the sanjo !
That little beefy double-edged fixed blade is noyce. There are several here I really like.
Will the historic metals Boker special edition knives be under the same brand in the future? That sleeve dagger would make a great boot knife with the right sheath.
boker the only brand who sold me 2 knives that would not take an edge no matter what i tried, tried wet sandpaper, stones, ceramics, stropping, convex edge, different angles...nothing was like trying to sharpen a piece of wax.edge fell apart like sand while forming...takes talent to do that to steel.
Still can't find the MUK or W1 anywhere with 4 months left in 2024.
WTF?
Great Utility knife concept! And I love that Boker wants to lean into history, after the car series of knives It makes sense! Still holding out for an AE86 knife!
Stolen design that is
Stollen design from Turnback Knife Co.
Carson is such a nice guy. DCA - will you be showing any of the Solingen models during this Blade Show? Sorry if I missed it in the video.
11:53 is very Smatchet-esque. Like a Pocket Smatchet, which is probably better than my Boker Folding Smatchet.
Waiting patiently for the German made classic knives!
The quality of the Chinese-made Boker Magnum knives seems to be better than what was being shipped five years ago.
Carsten is a treasure of the community.
13:00 in - Matt Gentry of Gentry Custom Knives.
I wish Boker would make a affordable version of their swiss Daggers ideally in 14c Sandvik
I live in Germany and have visited the Boker factory to buy knives for my modest collection, I would be interested in the sleeve dagger, but what is the legality of owning one. Germany is pretty strict on knife laws.
I think it’s cool but the 3 edged dagger is definitely illegal where I live
YESSSSSSS!!!!!
When will those historical secret agent daggers be available?
$20 for that trainer? Hell, I might buy a few of them.
For those sceptical of 440B it beats 14C28N & Nitro-V in terms of edge retention, I know the name is not as cool...
That first one looks like a San Quentin design
What's the steel? It's cafeteria tray.
@@WilliamWallis And here I was thinking license plate...
Al Capone or Al Katraz?
Looks great. Better than Benchmade for sure.
Who mentioned Benchmade? You oughta get treated for Benchmade Derangement Syndrome.
The butterfly is living rent free in your head.
What’s wrong with benchmade? I mean other than the price?
@@elgatofelix8917It lives in the same way as in your head.
This 2 Boeker lines are the mid and budget lines. The highend from Boeker is the Solingen Germany line. Benchmade is in the highend line. I like my Benchmade knives but I have to say fit and finish of my knives were terrible and the 2024 prices are insane.
Oh my gawd, cheus!
You better order a shitload of those trainers.
Benchmade balisong trainer can make waffles for as much as they're asking though! Lol
NObody wants unneeded clip holes on the face side of their knives.
The lefty answer isn't unneeded holes, it's separate models.
I woud buy more Bokers but the customer service post sale REALLY sucks.
Boker's Spike 👍🏾
hey germans who are struggling to export your products and maintain a reasonable cost point. auto knives over 2” of blade length in california are illegal but there are 40 million people in this state so those 2” autos sell like hot cakes here. blade hq is one state away from us but their state doesn’t like us so they forgot to mention this information to you when you produced the mini weiner warrior for them…. like I’m sure you have no problems selling that knife but in the future when you do a large medium size and a mini just remember that this one state alone is 12 percent of the american market and there’s 40 million of us who can’t buy mini weiner warriors with 2.5” blades.
I understand that percentage is going down rather precipitously.
@@jayr526 i don’t know about that because i moved here from northern idaho and I’ve made three more Californians since i’ve been here. i think catering to the market just a little bit goes a long way and it’s the same equivalent to this idea that every knife has got to be ambidextrous even though every left handed person i’ve ever met is a total douche canoe it’s still relevant because of two important factors and that is left handed people both buy knives and they complain a lot and there are more Californians in the United states than there are left handed people so the lesson here is to complain complain complain. why can’t they make their “mini” version california legal so that my kids can rock wiener warriors without me going to jail? they literally cut off 12 percent of the american market just by making their “mini” too large when there is already two other sizes to choose from so why would anyone want a 2.5” version when there’s already a “3 version and a 4” version so it makes much better sense to have a 2” version instead of a 2.5”. i should speak my opinion because i think i’m smarter than everyone working at both of these companies right now and that’s not even saying much, i’m very un-impressed.
@@jayr526precipitously, eh? I think last year's total population decline in Cali was right around 0.3%. If that was the grade of a slope I don't think your car would roll down it if you left your parking brake off. But yeah, totally just runaway population decline...
@@lordirek1 well and we all know why californians are moving, it’s to get more wiener warriors! if you don’t do something about it soon all forty million of us are going to move out of this state.
When I am paying over $100 for a really nice premium design and materials overall I would rather pay $10-$20 more to get a little more premium steel than VG 10
They should bring back the kihon auto
Why 440b not 440c?
$$$
Boker owes me an apology for the "Magnum Wingman Automatic Bottle Opener" with sharp-enough-to-cut sides going all around. It's not even a knife!
🔥👍
Bring back the Boker Plus JB Stout Lateralus
No normal light, can't see knives in hend.
Whomp whomp. I don't care about anything Boker if it's not made in Germany
1st 8.9.10
Closing the Cheus just looks awkward.
👍
My wallet is sad now. . .
Too perfect that the New Knives of (This) Week video highlights a $360 Benchmade Balisong trainer, and here's Boker iwith a $20 version. Yep. Because it's a trainer! Maybe there is some sanity left in the knife industry after all.
please make better balisong for fliping..that not cost much
It needed kydex the covert operator needed kydex The eyeball shish kabobber 😂
Boker most made a real kriegsmesser sword
Funny. I get a kick out of people saying “titanium clip”…. as if pocket clip material really makes a difference in anything. Titanium or tool steel… who really cares?
Some people love to customize their knives, and a titanium clip can be electro-anodized at home. Cheers! -DCA
The prostate examiner😂
Earliest Ive ever been
That utility knife is a clear copy of the Turnback Knife Co design, whoever Boker's OEM is in China definitely ripped his design. Scummy.
Well nobody's really excited about D2😢
No audio
Y
Just one favor boker stay away from D2 you got way too much talent to be wasting it on D2❤❤❤
The Boker Weasel utility knife is a complete ripoff of Turnback Knife Co.’s V2m design. Wow knife center
Good lord boker makes some hideous knives, but surprisingly they put a reversible clip on one of their knives!! Amazing.
Boker is killing it with great new designs, BUT, then they are shooting themselves in the foot with crappy materials for those designs! What's up with that??? If I'm looking to add a new kitchen knife, I'd be more than happy to settle for VG-10. However, VG-10 for EDC use is an complete no go unless there is absolutely no other choice available. With Vosteed and Civivi putting out great designs And using top shelf 14C28N steel, they're going to get mot of my money, and Boker is only going to get another Kihon purchase from me (I do love the one I have.)
What are you talking about ? VG10 is way more expensive to buy than 14c28n. 14c28 is one of the cheapest stainless steel you can buy to make a blade. It's a well done budget steel but it's nothing more than that. I like 14c, I use it to make some of my knives but to say that it is a superior steel for a pocket knife than VG10 is complete non-sens.
@@couteauxjouniaux In my experience, VG-10 is much more prone to very fine chipping than 14C28N.
@@random_eskimo_in_the_rockies hey, my first comment was a bit harsh. Sorry. 14c28n is a great steel, but, in my opinion, VG10 is a premium offering over 14c28. And, for me, is definetly not a no go. I never experienced chipping with it, but the heat treat does a lot in this kind of things.
Make a new Logo... yours too big! The only reason i dont buy böker.
