I am transitioning from Propex heater to electric heater. Power packs (solar generators) are getting cheaper by the day and with these new DC to DC chargers are a game changer. I’m also cooking with full electric.
@ I’m using a 200 watt heater that runs continuously powered by 4500 wh Pecron battery system. Enough heat to keep a teardrop camper warm during cold 20 degree nights. Then use the Pecron 500 watt car battery DC charger to charge it back up when I drive to next location. My travels consist of getting up traveling to a new location and finding a camp by 4 pm repeat. This might not work if you have a roof top tent that is poorly insulated.
Good test. I have a S250 military shelter camper and am installing the Sunsetter heater in a box. Once at 10 degrees and prior to the heater, I had massive condensation that froze inside as I woke up. Good reality check so purchased the heater. Hoping it will cut the condensation also. Did you have any condensation in the AM?
Great test. I’m definitely going to put A diesel heater in my camper van project just for Montana. We are up in petroleum County Montana hunting right now. The lowest it’s been was 12° today. The low was 27° but the wind was howling 25 miles an hour painfully cold. Thank you for sharing the video
One of my friends bought one from china. It started leaking fuel come to find out the line was not designed for fuel. It was vacuum hose. The controller went out after 6 months. He bought a espar and no problems so far
When someone produces thousands of items, there will be duds. Country of origin doesnt matter. Eberspracher and Webasto are the originals. Everything else developed copies.
Nice setup. Thanks for the video. Regards from Wales 🏴

I am a big fan of solar generators.
Would be hard to carry enough batteries to heat in winter. A small 1500 watt heater will only last a few hours or less.

What brand vent port did you use at the trailer? I’ve been looking for something just like that.

Thanks. I was able to find that from another of your videos and ordered them.

I used a Big Buddy last winter and condensation was terrible, I had zero condensation with this set up. So far so good!

Good video ! I think the heater is NOT a Maxspeedingrod, because when it is to cold ( -2 C ) outside you get a E 11 fault 🙄😒
It is an HCalory www.amazon.com/HCALORY-Portable-Bluetooth-Control-Parking/dp/B0CRDRG55B?th=1
What are you using as your vent hose? I need that! Don’t like the one I’m using.
4" dryer hose
Thanks CJ for the video. What was the heater brand and model?

@@Montana_Outdoor_Adventures Thanks, how long was it on and how much fuel did you use since you had the unit on low?
@@David_Arteman I used a little over a half a tank in about 11 hours, The tank is kinda small, maybe a little over a gallon and a half.
Awesome! Such a beautiful view, where is that at?
The campground we used to go to in the trailer by the river
Is that heating ductwork exposed directly to the cold air ?
Yes, when I do the -30 degree test in a couple of months, I'll see if I have too much heat loss
You could almost heat a tent also lol
So cool 😊
Thanks and congratulations on being the first comment!!!
