    I am transitioning from Propex heater to electric heater. Power packs (solar generators) are getting cheaper by the day and with these new DC to DC chargers are a game changer. I’m also cooking with full electric.

      I am a big fan of solar generators.

      Would be hard to carry enough batteries to heat in winter. A small 1500 watt heater will only last a few hours or less.

      @ I’m using a 200 watt heater that runs continuously powered by 4500 wh Pecron battery system. Enough heat to keep a teardrop camper warm during cold 20 degree nights. Then use the Pecron 500 watt car battery DC charger to charge it back up when I drive to next location. My travels consist of getting up traveling to a new location and finding a camp by 4 pm repeat. This might not work if you have a roof top tent that is poorly insulated.

    What brand vent port did you use at the trailer? I’ve been looking for something just like that.

    Good test. I have a S250 military shelter camper and am installing the Sunsetter heater in a box. Once at 10 degrees and prior to the heater, I had massive condensation that froze inside as I woke up. Good reality check so purchased the heater. Hoping it will cut the condensation also. Did you have any condensation in the AM?

      I used a Big Buddy last winter and condensation was terrible, I had zero condensation with this set up. So far so good!

      Great test. I’m definitely going to put A diesel heater in my camper van project just for Montana. We are up in petroleum County Montana hunting right now. The lowest it’s been was 12° today. The low was 27° but the wind was howling 25 miles an hour painfully cold.
      Thank you for sharing the video

      When someone produces thousands of items, there will be duds. Country of origin doesnt matter. Eberspracher and Webasto are the originals. Everything else developed copies.

    Good video ! I think the heater is NOT a Maxspeedingrod, because when it is to cold ( -2 C ) outside you get a E 11 fault 🙄😒

    Is that heating ductwork exposed directly to the cold air ?

    • @Montana_Outdoor_Adventures
      @Montana_Outdoor_Adventures  5 днів тому

      Yes, when I do the -30 degree test in a couple of months, I'll see if I have too much heat loss
