Been watching a lot of these vids lately and I think I have a clue as to why I'm usually 3 or even 4 seconds off Dave's times around tracks in ACC. I'm too nervous about accelerating out of bends until I know the car's fully rotated. Dave and other drivers are putting the hammer down way sooner than I am it seems. These videos are definitely an education.
That's what happens with me also, but I can't find the confidence to do this with my t150. One slide and im on the wall with this unresponsive and weak ffb wheel.
It’s brutal man, everyone is so fast. It’s a lot of time commitment each week to learn and entirely new track and then on top of that to get down to a competitive time even for the lower splits
I use the lexus quite a lot, I feel very connected with its reactions and it feels quite intuitive to me. The current BoP in ACC is quite decent, with a lot of usable cars. The main issue is the M4, which is absolutely broken. It's fast, 0% pitch sensitive, eats bumps for breakfast, stable as a rock, easy to drive, good in every track... I still can't understand why this hasn't been adressed already, literally every race has half of its grid filled with M4s.
Aight you are exaggerating things a bit All you said about the M4 is right except for the part of being good at every track, also it has a weak top speed, it is good but def not the fastest rn It was the fastest, but got patched decades ago
IMHO the only car that needs a nerf right now is the R8 version 2. The M4 has a decent BOP and isn't that easy to drive at low-medium or low race pace. See Jardier how he suffers on that car compared to other aliens with other cars.
the m4 is definitely not broken... the turbo kick in is dreadful on some tracks (like spa), and the suspension should eat up bumps and be stable because the car is massive, it's heavy, tall, and wide. and like others have said it has a lower top speed than every other car except the lambo
also you clearly don't race top split because otherwise you'd know every "pro" and alien has been picking the Audi Evo II because it has the fastest exit speed out of any car even if you make a mistake, not M4s
Glad to see you haven't given up on ACC. Almost worth it just for that engine noise! Did you consider adjusting the brake deadzone in game so you only need to go to like 90% force on your pedal set to get 100% in game? Might bring it a bit closer to what you're used to
@@BiIboSwaggins You can go into controls and to the brake pedal row. There is a small arrow on the right of that - where you can adjust the amount of throw/force required to get 100% braking. It's called 'Maximum Limit' I think. If you for example make it 4% - you need 96% braking to register 100% in the game.
Assetto corsa is still the best racing sim out there and its over 10 yrs old here's why, It has impeccable car physics that no other sim can even match, You can drive just about any car with the amount of mods that are available to download such as busses, tanks, 3 wheelers let alone all the other racing cars that are out there and the ones people have made themselves. With content manager you have the ability to add even more to the game such as rain effects, Snow, thunder, night and day with progressive time shifting. Not only that you pay a one off fee for the game which is now only 21$ (no monthly payments) I use content manager and messed with the settings for the graphics and every race I have feel's as if I'm in a real race. Bathurst at night in a heavy thunder storm is amazing, Can't see shit but boy it feels so damn good.
Impeccable? It uses a single point tyre model, that's far from impeccable. AC is great, but it's pretty archaic these days from a simulation perspective
I agree. 1yr ago today I got my rig. Got ac next week acc. I didn't turn on acc toll 2months in. 3month into sim racing I tried gt3 in assetto corsa only online high elo rooms and leagues. Incredible near WR pace and so much fun. I transitioned to ACC 3month ago. It's a nightmare. There's just something about the braking or being offline in this sim you can't do magic driving like in ac where skill and bravery w the physics reward drivers. I feel like a robot in acc. Im 1sec off aliens and only 2 tracks I can get close to top times. Haven't even seen half the tracks yet. ac kills this imo but I gotta w the times to fight against the best drivers and I feel most are here for GT3, at acc
Give the BMW a go around here. Stiff ARBs, soft springs, ride height F50-R68, max wing. Also, you’re throttle isn’t going to 100% in the straights sometimes. There’s a delay. Not sure if it’s you or the game. I had this issue. You can set the minimum/max in the control settings.
Did u guys watch the Spa 24 hrs, cracking battle in the end between the M4 GT3 and the AMG, M4 however ran out of steam in the end or the AMGs were massively sandbagging. Pity about the Porsches and Audis. Incident filled race, accidents, run offs, you name it, Very, very enjoyable event.Lambos set the record for punctures, putting them out early of contention for a possible win. Ferrari introducing a new 298 gt3 (I think), Porsche a new 992 and Lambo an Evo 2 for 2023.
I like using the underdogs, the Lexus has a surprisingly nice V8 sound. You should try the NSX too, I actually really like that car and no one uses it. Might not be the fastest all the time, but it can hang on a lot of tracks and also has some good seasons in real life racing.
I'm really trying to get in 154s w the 488 during 20min races it's tough for me. Great work man in that 🐕. Go Porsche you're really sharp from iracing it'll be a breeze. I'm 3months in, only the 488 ayeeeee

I have a question. How is your input feedback? I find being in the USA my input delay makes racing on many of the servers very very difficult!! Idk if I need a better modem or if buying a more top end PC will make a difference?
Got a request for you. These races on acc are great, but on iRacing woul really like to see u drive different cars. Similar to what kinduci does. Solely up to u just a suggestion
You obviously got the right setup so Lexus is not bad but you have better racing in yhe 45mins races and you are fast just know that with slipstream in race you can get faster lap times than Quali
I don't know what it is, I've played iRacing for like 2 weeks and now ACC feels so sluggish. It's unplayable for me. Anyone else experienced same thing?
New subscriber alert! Interesting how you go down to 1st gear when the majority of drivers use 2nd. For the rotation ? Also you trail brake a lot more than I've seen before, do you find a dab of trail brake is quicker than coasting?
