I run a sparring class with a mixture of beginner belts all the way to black belts. Trying to generate some curriculum for this class, any suggestions??

Excellent job and video working on your hip drill there I know it is going to help your balance and coordination tremendously how has your taekwondo training been going so far Alex? By the way you are in excellent shape .🥋😁👌💯🔥
If you want to do ur side kick to head level then stretch ur hips so ur able to do the middle splits these drills just strengthen your hip flexors so i guess it does help but u needa stretch thats how you kick high
@@amyjackson2705 you’re right. I just need to get myself to do some stretching, which is easier said than done since I’m not very flexible, but maybe one day I can get my side kick higher this way. Thanks for the information and recommendations.
@@ElvirElvirElvir Yes Practice your splits, put your leg on something as high as you can and hold it until you relax, then raise it back up and continue. also keep your leg in the air without support, so you get more muscles. also train your legs and glutes well
Great drills. Will come in handy while getting back in shape as fat and 45.
I started fat and 47. Now, 52 first degree black belt in TKD and now training at a Karate/Jiu-jitsu dojo. You can do it
I started at 46 yrs old. Weighed in at 335lbs as a White belt, am now working on my 3rd Dan at 54 weighing in at 180 lbs. you can do it!!!!!

I don’t believe I’ve ever had the flexibility to get my side kick to be head level, will these drills help with that as well?
