This is on the top of my list to get done while I'm still side hustling by myself and before my first hire. Thanks for the immensely valuable info as usual.
Now what do you do when in the middle of an engagement you realize clients have exceptional circumstances you could not foresee beyond their selected package. Just go back and level up?
Yeah hit pause, talk scope with them and probably do a one-off But also challenge the notion that most of these things are un-seeable. Get creative in how you could change the scoping process to identify this sort of outlier next time Two different accountants will vary WILDLY in how good they are at scoping before a project, which makes me believe scoping is a process that can be standardized and improved
Hi Jason, currently going through hell to get a practice management software, 20 staff looking for CRM, client portal, mobile and workflow. Any ideas? Thanks. Feel like I've look at them all but can't decide.
Swipe this if you haven't yet go.rlz.io/pm Narrow it down to your 2-3 favorites Find a couple folks who use the PMs you're considering to get some real feedback (not thru the filter of the PM co) If you're picking something from that PM report you're avoiding a disaster scenario, they'll all get you somewhere from 80-100% there. The stinkers you need to avoid aren't on that list
That's amazing, thank you, that's the report I was looking for (noted it from a prior video). The two we are looking at are on the list, which is great cause its a big step and you want to be sure. Now time to face the migration 🫣 thanks again.
@@jasoncpa I started using Financial Cents after I took the survey. Is there somewhere else I can get information. I've joined the FC Facebook community. I've looked at your stuff. Anything else?
Loved this podcast series! Thank you so much for providing this!
You bet!
This hits home. Need to figure this out for audit & assurance too.

Amazing. Do you have any sample template that you send to a potential client?
Great video I needed this
It's real, but complicated. Maybe I'm complicated. 😓
How do you have 2k views and only 100 likes 🤔
That's actually pretty good! 4% is generally high performing
