Aly looks SO much better then she did in 2012, her lines are better, her feet are pointed, she has better power so she can complete that first pass. MUCH improved!!!
this is my favorite floor routine ever, all of the dancing and tumbling goes together so well with the music! Aly's execution is stunning, it makes me want to cry like every time I see this routine
Agreed wouldn’t be surprised she used her DWTS training well plus wouldn’t be surprised if she contacted her partner for help on the dance elements so it looks more like dance and less doing poses
Her right shoe came partially undone very early in the routine--you can see the lace dangling at the end of her L turn around 39 or 40 seconds--she completed the entire rest of the routine at risk of her shoe coming off.
Her and Simone are the ones to look out for! I'm so happy she made it back from 4 years ago! this girl had gold written all over! way to stick it babygirl!
Aly Raismen is beautiful as a Gymnast with copious amounts of talent:) Aly Raismen did a lovely job on the Floor exercises. I liked her use of music for the exercises as well. oh but Simone only scored a 15.550 on night 2. Aly has scored that and up to a 15.700 so she could potentially score higher then Simone if she's pretty flawless and Simone has some mistakes like on night 2
her execution was nearly flawless if you notice at the climax of her music she usually does a series of jumps which she did not so she lost 2 tenths in difficulty
+Chee Notna i dont know judges usually award it even with it i know she left out her jumps had she done them it would have been a couple of extra tenths the turn was completed they definitely took deductions for lack of control which can mean many things

thats a first she wears toe caps, that is the half shoes they wear in rythmic gymnastics on her one foot, usually they wear regular cross strap gymnastic shoes or sox, but I have never seen an artistic gymnastic competitor wear toe caps, those are used in rythmic gymnastics and usually modern and contemporary dance.
he did, but i agree he meant reigning olympic floor champion - its not the only error the commentators made during the telecast they were all over the place with their comments, and trying to come up with unncessary drama!
No she missed out two leaps, and so they downgraded her. She usually does 3 leaps in a row right near the end and missed two. That's why she was doing more arm movements toward the end.
+victoriasgot she purposefully took out 1 of those leaps because it was causing her more deductions than actual bonus. as ull notice just does a little extra arm movement in the corner after that leap series to make up for the time that 3rd leap wouldve taken.
@@HouseVictoria Her "two leaps" (it was actually one, which is a split jump full) was never counted towards the D score. So whether she took it out or not has no impact whatsoever on her D score. It was her L turn that got downgraded since took a hop while doing it.

maybe in the next few months someone can teach her to put her legs together on her round off and her backhand springs. And then while they're at it also teach her to reach a minimum of 180 on leaps/jumps that require it.
i know this will be difficult for you to grasp, so I will type it v e r y slowly for you. MY medal count and actually HER medal count has absolutely NO baring on her legs being apart on her roundoff and back handsprings. You are more than welcome to challenge my original statement that her legs are apart on her roundoff and back handsprings. But, in the end, I am correct. If you'd like Id be more than happy to play the video back and quote the exact time indexes where her legs are apart to make it easier for you to comprehend.
Uh...not sure what you're watching, but Aly hit 100% of her jumps/leaps. One wasn't parallel to the floor, but she hit 180 just the same. Maybe that same person could teach Mustafina to keep her feet together and legs legs straight on her twisting elements (a trait shared with Aly) and teach the majority of the Dutch girls how to tumble properly while they're at it.

Yes, its one of the piruette-shoe's straps that is supposed to be fastend around her heel. It's quite annoying when that happends but she handled it like a pro. Maybe it didn't even faze her, I'm sure it has happend in practice a lot :)

I felt like she did better than her score
her execution was nearly flawless if you notice at the climax of her music she usually does a series of jumps which she did not so she lost 2 tenths in difficulty
+TheWrestlingPalace I think the lost of 2 tenths is due to her incompletion of turn (she had a hop in between) so the judge devalued it to a B turn.
+Chee Notna i dont know judges usually award it even with it i know she left out her jumps had she done them it would have been a couple of extra tenths the turn was completed they definitely took deductions for lack of control which can mean many things

Did that commentator just call Aly the "Reigning Olympic All-Around Champion?" because she's not.
he meant "reigning olympic floor champion". I believe he even got aware of his mistake a second later and that is why he pauses a bit.

Wow! This girl is a force to be reckoned with. Why all we hear about is Simone and Gabby? This girl is the real deal no politics involved.

No she missed out two leaps, and so they downgraded her. She usually does 3 leaps in a row right near the end and missed two. That's why she was doing more arm movements toward the end.
