very pretty. i am making a topper. my first using hair i cut off about 3 yrs ago, im getting better at it ! i need to work on direction and density. but i am getting there. thank you for all your great vids and motivation. i dont have a standard "wig head" to work on so i built my own using circles of canvas fabric large to small. till it fit my pattern. works pretty good.
a real canvas head or the foam one would have been better but i like to make use of the stuff i have on hand. i thought canvas, i had some, then i decided i only needed a topper so i made the top of my head. i will take a pic of it when im closer to done. thanks for all the great vids. this hobby i have discovered used the right side of the brain, so i dont chat while i am doing it and my spouse is so happy tee hee.
hi super wig maker. you are so amazing at what you do. I'm sure you've already answered this question in previous videos but where do you purchase your lace from?
I admire your excellent work. I'm a guy trying to practicing ventilating more using my "Asian" needles, it's not easy. I mostly do repairs to prolong my hairpiece's lifespan. What I don't understand is why wig makers I see on UA-cam only ventilate with one knot instead of two. Three weeks ago I added lots of hair (ventilating with just one knot) in my hairpiece. I wear all weak and do maintenance on weekends. I noticed most hairs on my unit has fallen out by this time. My (one ventilation) knots were tight enough because I made sure all knots had been gently and carefully closed. How can someone expect a hairpiece that's been ventilated with only one knot to last at least 3 months? Thanks.
...it is called (semi) permanently sealing the knots. Or even permanently. Either apply a knot sealing spray underneath which won't do much or try to apply some other stuff like fray check etc. It might make the lace harsh, or too rubbery depending on the substance but it sure helps with the knots getting "glued" Also it takes great skill to handle a piece that has single knots. You always braid the hair before removing (if possible) you always lift the piece by pulling it from the hair instead of lifting it from the lace, you always soak the glued piece on your head with glue remover and let it literally fall off itself instead of pulling hard on glues, never rub a single knotted piece like a piece of cloth when you wash it, especially in the base area.
i love your work.i have a client that needed a hair system that very same color. it was very hard to find that color being human hair. can i order that same color and length of human hair from you? thank you denise
question, i found a used wig, i grabbed it cause it felt, silky smooth. i think its real hair. its dk brown med length long silk top. its too heavy for me. can i take it apart and use the top piece for a topper for my sis. and will it take a dye (will the lace take a dye)
Hi I have naturally curly hair, my ? is can a straight lace topper be permed ? I can find many straight lace toppers or closures and wonder if I can just perm it to make it match my curl pattern.
I have a cork canvas head that is 23" so it is rather big. I am thinking of getting more sizes sooner or later. Each head costs like 30$ so getting all 10 sizes means pretty good money. But I also have one female mannequin head that is rather small and 2 styrofoam heads that have worked magic so far. I still think getting the real thing will be better.
That hair is so gorgeous, it literally made me gasp.
Virgin white hair indeed
Super Wig Maker how anyone would cut that off is a riddle. It must have paid well.
It was expensive indeed
simplesmente perfeito o seu trabalho!!!! amooooo

DIY is not always the best but it does give you a feeling of satisfaction, you did it on your own :D

Hey I am glad I am helping people make their own pieces :D
Do you ever get pictures from the customers wearing your pieces? I would love to see this piece on her.
Rarely and if yes I cannot post them since they want to remain anonymous.

Yes if it is human hair it should able to perm it. But if it is not virgin hair it might already be too damaged and the perm will ruin it more.
Ok great so just to be sure... the perm solution will not hurt the lace?
Good to know, if I do perm it I will let you know how it turns out. Thanks again
How can I dye knots on a number 1 hair colored lace front, what's the best thing to use?
You need to use bleach to lighten it and then you can either leave it like this or tone it if it turns too yellow
Super Wig Maker thank you so much I love your work
where is his website link
you mean this site?
