- I had a ton of fun this past year on the 2020 Beta 200rr. Such a great bike and even more fun to ride! If your thinking of buying a 200 go do it :) Hope you guys enjoyed this review of the Beta 200rr.
Awesome video man, I wish you'd upload more often, and could you please do a video about hillclimbs? Specifically how to get through climbs where it gets vertical at the end like you're facing a wall
Yes I will for sure keep that in mind! Thanks for the kind words
Dude, thanks for sharing your experience. I was considering an Xtrainer but you helped me with a choice and finally ordered a 200RR. Keep going and good luck
Yeah man for sure!!! Great bike 👍
I literately gave my 22 xtrainer away. I have never hated a bike so much. Anytime they say they have reduced the suspension travel RUN LIKE HELL.
I know you are hooked up with the InsideEnduro clan now, but do you still have the 200? If not what have you moved on to?
I no longer have the 200. Have been on shercos for the last few years.
@@MattSpears I was thinking about getting another 200 to replace my current 300 but now you have me considering a gold wing!
@PrimalEnduro Goldwing for sure
He definitely gives a bike a proper testing. If the beta takes abuse from a young kid that doesn't necessarily keep up with the maintenance.....that says alot for beta
What kind of range do you get on a tank?
It got pretty phenomenal fuel range. Been 3 years since I’ve had that bike. Dont remember
First off, love your videos! You do a great job and your honesty is always on point. Curious on how heavy you are? Did you have the suspension done to reflex your weight? Appreciate the feedback.
Thank you for the kind words! The only thing I ever did to the suspension was clickers. I’m very fortunate because I weigh about 155-160 and I’ve never needed my stuff valved
What happened to Matt Spears??!!
I'm back!!!
Hey Matt, do you feel the weight difference between the Beta 200 and the Sherco 250? Could you ride the 200 everywhere the 250 would go, with additional clutch work?
Yeah for sure. The 200 will pretty much go anywhere just a little more work.
Thanks Matt I just put a deposit on Beta 200RR
Heck yeah! I enjoyed mine heaps
After how many hours did u change top end on 300?
Never did. Probably a good idea to do it every 100 ish or so hours.
Thanks Matt, I am really interested in these bikes. How did you like the suspension? Did you leave the suspension stock?
Awesome bike! I enjoyed the suspension so I left it 100% stock. Just adjusted clickers to my liking
300 400 hours. Doubt it.
Put a deposit down on a 2021 today.
Hey matt love the chanle!! Got a question for ya! Hope you'll get too it! So since the beginning of 2020 I've been riding a 2020 crf250f so just a air-cooled honda heavy as heck. I've put close too 400 hrs on it and I say I'm a pretty darn good hard enduro rider have riden most of the shops you've shown in this videos as I'm local too this area. And I guess my big question is should I buy a 200cc 2 stroke or a 300? I just don't want too get a 200 then want too upgrade too a 300 right away! Side note it was hilarious when I first rode one of the areas you always ride or rode. I was like huh I recognise a lot of this stuff came home jumped on here and figured out it was from you lol small world
Hahaha that is awesome. I loved the 200 but man it is hard to beat a 300. My current bike is a Sherco 300.
I really like my 150XCW but keeping my eye out for a good deal on a 200RR. There aren't many comparison reviews on youtube for the 150 vs the 200. Have you ever ridden a 150XCW in order to be able to compare to the 200RR?
Yep I have ridden the 150. I would take a 200 any day of the week!
I’m currently researching my next bike coming off a wr250f, a 2 Stoke next for mild enduro and fun on the trails, log jumps etc.
200…250….300?
I like 300's. What'd you end up getting?
This video is a couple years old at this point, but just a comment about the top overhaul time. It's pretty awesome that you've got that many hours without trouble! As of 3/22 I'm only at 40 hours on the same bike. I'll probably do the piston at 100 hrs. The risk is that the engine will be running fine but the ring is getting thinner over time. At some point if allowed to continue it will break or snag on the exhaust port and will trash your cylinder. Here in California we're going to have to make our 2 strokes last from now on
Totally get that. I just did a top end in my sherco 300 at 180 hours and it had plenty of life. Changing the spark plug periodically makes more of a difference than piston/rings
Im 5,8 or 5,9 and 145 pounds im thinking about buying one because i have a motocross bike for trails and i’m New to enduro what do you think
Ohh yeah man this bike would be awesome for you! light but it has enough power
Working my way through your videos and enjoying them. I've just bought an old montesa 250 as a beginner bike as new ones have loads more power. It's a tad heavy but good fun.
Glad you like them!
I purchased the 2021 200rr, swayed by your videos. I am. 5" 7" 165 to 170 Lbs. Comming off a KTM 300XC... Love this BETA!
That is awesome to hear! What’s your favorite part about it?
@@MattSpears It was a tough decision,, really liked my 300s. I am short, and really like the lower seat height, and light weight of the 200. I also believe it is making me a better rider due to clutch control and needing to be in the proper gear. This bike is a ton of fun to ride, and with a little finesse will take me anywhere my 300 would go. Very happy with this purchase.
@@steveness2655 super capable but yeah they do take a bit more effort. Such a rad bike
Thats great info! As you predicted i love my 2021 200RR. Just disapointed with fuel consumption. Did you change de needle and jets? Otherwise, i would buy it again! Great riding!👍
I experienced access fuel usage too. The solution for me was to loop the carb overflow tube and secure it with a zip tie. If you experience elevation change while riding carburetors tend to dump gas.
what state's are great for this kind of riding? Why don't you run hand-guards?
Idaho, Montana, Washington. I usually don't run hand guards because they make the bars stick.
Hey bro how heavy are you? And if you know, what’s the typical weight for this bike
I’m like 155-160. If your like 200+ a bigger bike would probably suite you more
In which intervalls did you change oil, air filter and spark plugs? Great video btw!
300 + hrs a season, nice, I'd have to quit smoking and eat right, still gonna pray a bit before large climbs and blame my tires when I fail.
hahah always blame the tires ;)
That’s what I always do
cm_enduro here, I didn't know you had a channel too! I like your vids man and nice to put a face to name
Hey, thanks for checking it out!!!
Hey Matt, any interest in selling your 200rr?
The 200 is long gone...Great bike
Matthew you got the best video fucking awesome dude I have 300 race edition and 250 RR and I’m a beginner so thanks for the info all of my bike is a 2021 keep riding brother
I am after the 200rr or 200rr race edition can anyone help me with my choice.i am 200lb inside 30 inch thanks for tyre tips good review
At 200 I may say bump up to a bit more power especially if you’ll be riding at altitude. If your riding at sea level the 200 will be plenty!
Thanks 😊
Since the vid is a year old now I'm wondering if you still have this bike and can do an update on it now...
I no longer have the bike. Was a killer bike!
@Matt Spears thanks for the quick reply Matt! I loved the 200's of years past but went to 250's when I returned to riding/racing now I'm wanting to relax and ride fast.
Sooo.. April 2021.. has it been rebuild? I gotta know haha
Just a question but why don’t you invest in some bark busters?
I have them and I’m not a huge fan. Flags are good
Hi I’ve recently bought a new 2021 200rr racing and it seems to be running a bit rich have you had any issues with this ?
What's your weight? Do you have enough power on this bike?
In that video I was about 155. I did have enough power....but 300s are easier to ride. Less fun? Maybe
@@MattSpears My weight is 194lbs, so I think, will 200rr be enough for me or not? The bike is of course light
Debating on one of these or a husqy te150!
I’d go for the 200 all day long
So, what's next?
Beta Xtrainer or is that just to soft?
Hahaha those are rad bikes but for now I won’t be on Beta👍 nothing against Beta they are an awesome company that makes great bikes.
What's going to be your next bike?
For the next bit I’ll be on a blue and yellow bike ;)
Awsome review and iv seen I ride it. You ride it hard. Now I really want this bike to be my next bike. Seems it will hold up for me like my yz125
Such a fun bike! Yz125s are sweet. Is yours the x model?
@@MattSpears it's the motocross model. I was thinking about trading mine in for the x version but I think iv got my heart set on the beta200
I gotta say the 200 is a good choice🕺
Good review. Thanks for the knowledge.
Yes of course! Thanks for the kind words
Any mods to the suspension, or is it all stock?
I kept that bike all stock
Have you had a chance to try the 125rr?
Not yet. I’d imagine it’s a blast to ride!
What bikes next dude ? .....
For the next bit I’ll be on a Sherco 250. There will also be some snowbiking in the near future 😋
Man I wish I had those beautiful places to ride in my country as well😭
Where do you live?
@@MattSpears
Italy, unfortunately here spaces are a bit narrower in general, we don't have vast parks or woods like you
Also riding dirt bikes is often illegal in many areas so yeah it sucks 😕
I wish one day I can send my beta 300 in america and have some good times trail riding
@@michele1342000 ohhh dang! I’m extremely fortunate to live where I live
Where i live its either super rocky or sandy but hey theres a beach and a farm near and the farms full of cow poop
And its just like mud just stinky
Yeah each time a enter that property the farmers start chasing me and shouting at me and the boys ans thats more fun until they call the cops
@@speedyboi349 LOL
yoo, greeting from Latvia , crazy i was serching for beta 200rr and 3hour ago u made video wohoo.
Hahaha awesome well here you go!

Muppet meets squirrel
Are you using the oil injection or premix?
Oil injection! Love that system
@@MattSpears WOW. That's incredible, 300 hours without a problem.
And those are not 300 easy hours
Damm that’s a lot of riding in a year !
Ohhhhh yeah!!! All I did was work and ride 😎
Good for you ! , Long Island ny , your treated like a criminal if u ride dirt bikes in woods! Cops on quads! Everywhere
74 cycles keep your comments for yourself an your 2 subscribers lol
Keep up the great work Matt! Awesome review!
Thanks man! We need to link up
@@MattSpears for sure! Hope to be in Idaho again mid 2021 with my buddies. We aren't nearly as capable as you but can do pretty well. 😁
For most of next year I’ll be in Montana :) amazing riding
Have you had any issues with the oil injection
Zero issues. I had one problem with that bike early on and it was warranted.
Thank you for your review!
Very nice review.😀👌
Thank you 👍
@@MattSpears Im getting a 2020 200rr this week so I just wanna know on how many hours you change your gearbox oil? Also more vids please 😀😆
Awesome, I want one :)
