  • This knitting tutorial demonstrates how I like to manage my edges when adding in a new color, and continuing to use more than one color when my project has a slipped stitch edge. Enjoy!

I’ve searched and searched for a video that would explain how to have neat edges while also carrying hand dyed yarn up the side-this works!! Thank you so, so much!

Thank you! I'm doing a slipped stitch edge in a yarn that pools colors - so I wanted to use 2 balls to hopefully avoid the pooling. My edge looks so much better now.

I’m knitting your Douglas Cardi and have come to the first color change. Wanted to make sure I did it correctly so I did a google search. Clicked on this video not knowing it was yours! 😂 Perfect!

Thanks for sharing this. I’m currently working on Goldfinch. Should I change from the knit one at the beginning of a color change to slipping the first color, then change to second color? (The pattern says to knit first stitch in next color. )

Great video and explanation, Andrea. Question. When working stockinette, would you work the slipped stitch at the beginning the same way? Thanks. Much appreciated.
