there is a bug on arena with outrageous robbery that reveals to your opponent how many lands/spells you hit. you can see the bug at 22:05. robbery is cast for x=5, but only 3 cards appear beside the opponents hands, and 2 remain in your exile zone... this tells us they hit 3 spells and 2 lands.
Every once in a while you watch a CGB video and you just KNOW that we're gonna be seeing this deck everywhere for a while. CGB out here singlehandedly shaking up the meta.
I've played with this deck for a few days, I tracked my starting hands on paper, the Rotpriest shows up in 42% out of 62 hands. The expected number is 40% so this is right on target considering 62 hands isn't a big number. So it's showing up perfectly according to probability and isn't affected by the shuffler.
@@fanch_brouste This deck is actually incredibly bad, he edited the video to make it look like he just wins constantly. Maybe it's just the meta that makes this deck trash lately with new cards. But in all honesty I built it exactly the same as he did card for card and only won like 2 games out of ten every time I played it ( If I was lucky lol ). And if you're like me and pretty much refuse to put too much money on freemium games, it's a total waste of your wild cards. The deck revolves around getting either rot priest or archdruid's charm in your opening hand, if you are forced to mulligan more than once ( which you most like will ). You're in for a loss almost every time. Because archdruid's charm is 3 to cast, even if you can fetch your rot priest with it. The match is already over, sitting on cards for 3 to 4 turns in a row in the current meta is pretty much impossible to come back from. Unless you're running mass removals, which this deck has none of. I wish I had spent my wildcards on the brawl deck I was planning to build instead of this garbage. Oh well, you live you learn.
@@justinmain4507 Hey, it's a deck made for a fun video, it's definitely not made to be competitive but it's for sure fun to play! I played it on arena and got from Bronze to Diamond with it. And also playing it at my lgs, it usually wins 1/3 games. Only keep your hand if it's got rotpriest in it or mulligan a few times. Archdruid's Charm is only good to get a second priest or to target it.
@@fanch_brouste You're right about that, cuz I been playing it lately and got better results here and there. I spoke way too soon after a bad night of losses in a row.
this video made me play mtg again, last played around the first mirrodin expansion. the rarran vids have given me some history lessons I didnt have back then (only started playing during 7th edition).
I played against a UG version of this using the mono black creature hate deck. I dumped an entire hand of creature hate and board wipes and was juked every time lmao
liking already for the cool deck idea. Would like to see more unique yet effective brews. EDIT: I love it when a bizarre deck like this just loses to a single card like bat though lol
This deck makes me feel so dirty when I play it and especially when I win on turn 4 with 2 mana out. When RNG says "No Rotpriest for you" or you lose your rotpriests then you are done, but there is a lot of redundancy to help mitigate that. Very strong deck.
The last good standard green deck was the one from PVDDR that you showcased after the Magic Championship some years ago. The shuffler doesn't affect spells, it only looks at lands. Just mulligan a few times until you get one.
I think it is definitely a worthy addition as a tutor! It also doesn't need an additional priest in play, and goes directly to battlefield, unlike the charm!
Somewhat unrelated question , but how do people feel about creature lands? I really can't remember a Standard where every single deck I play against runs at least 4 copies of a creature land... I'm kinda tired of having to run field of ruins just to deal with mirrex...
All the tapped ones are quite possibly too slow for current BO1 meta Boros demo aggro or this deck will eat you alive if you don't maximize interaction every turn Myrex is untapped so yeah, the most popular one atm
My bud tried to play this in modern, i was playing Dimir TolarinTerror/Haughty Djiin. Hit em with the counter spell then a surgical extraction, shit was hilarious
man i cant get over the fact that giant growth is still a thing... that card has been the bane of my existence since its release. green can kiss my butt... also red Edit: deck is pretty hillarious, i still think you shouldnt get so salty, i understand alot of your viewers get a kick out of it but ive played too many guys in my years that get super salty about things out of their control... sometimes you get screwed, sometimes you get countered blind and you have to take it in stride, its all in the game and chill vibe is best vibe... i know youre playing it online but chill vibe makes salty bois extra mad.... especially when your deck is ALL control with a single mahamoti as win condition.... good times
Yes! Haha i began playing this game with a week left in BroWar, so my first “real decks” were all RotPriest Toxic decks. My favorite play style is these guys right here
Oh no! CGB has gone to toxic and rot priest in order to curve a decent deck out of green. What does that mean? No questions! But I will say, rot priest is quite broken. No questions! But isn't it kind of broken the fact that rot priest not only has trigger toxic abilities cast against it from its opponent but also it's player? No questions! Don't you think if they made toxic they might have made an anti-toxic in order to actually give a fighting chance of interesting back and forth. Gameplay? No questions! Do you think wizards of the Coast play tests at all anymore? No questions! Okay but... No questions!
Man, I forgot just how freaking AWFUL the green march is. Game 2, I just immediately thought "why didn't CGB just pay X=1 for march?", then went back and read the card, only to realize it's less than X. What the hell happened to that card, Wizards?
Your deck is alright but it can be better. Fauna Shaman, Invasion of Ikoria, Cosmic Hunger, Tandem Takedown, and reduce Mana to 18 forests. Cut out Giant Growth.

whew they reprinted G-Growth
This explains why I encountered a green deck that played nothing until turn 3 and scooped when I countered the archdruid's charm.
I too can confirm that CovertgoBlue has always been a green mage *begins nervously sweating*
The blueness is "covert" for a reason.
Yeah I know CovertGoGreen too
Grandpa CGB in his robe lecturing me about what WotC has done to mono green in standard is why I'm a member of this channel
They have some really Powerful green cards just hasn't received alot of support since throne of eldraine
Every villain in Gotham City: 15:32
Bruh ahah
😂😂😂😂
Your reaction to the bats taking your priest put a big smile on my face that I really needed today. Thanks CGB.

So the cards that stayed in exile zone are still playable by opponent? I was confused by that.
@@mcslope4994yes, they can. You can see the opponent play the forest at 22:26

Mirrodon block was awesome
50/50 for 3:46 average game time will solve a green daily challenge pretty effectively. Thanks CGB!
Troll deck mode activated.
They said he as crazy, but maybe... crazy is what the meta needs
CGB was two steps ahead when a Mono Green Timmy was about to spea- NO QUESTIONS!
The best.
Ive been saying it for 2 years now, If WOTC doesn't print toxic removal cards, this game mechanic should be removed from all formats.

Cgb doing all that math to not even attack all makes me feel better about myself as a player 😅
Was that a Freudian slip in the intro? Are we hoing to see an Escape from Tarkov MTG crossover 😆
Murders always happen in Tarkov

I like the new intro style where you give a quick quip for 5 seconds before revealing the decklist

How can you not run a mono-green deck when Archdruid's Charm is in Standard?
since rot priest is your only creature, the algo puts one in your opening hand almost every game?
You need to watch the whole video haha
Wish I had a statistic of how many Rotpriests I have faced on average. Always one, two or even more in just a dozen cards.

I was wondering why I played this deck the 1st 2 games of the day today. Now I know why
I never comment on your vids but always watch. I have to say, this deck f*cks. Respectfully. My fav you've put out in a very long time. Thank you.
You should build a G/W artifact deck. I've been having amazing positive results with it steadily climbing the ladder.
18:20 god I’d hate losing to this crap…. Talking about his own deck. Quality humor 😂❤
Invasion of Ikoria works almost as well as the March of Burgeoning Life., but it is Sorcery speed.
I think it is definitely a worthy addition as a tutor!

CGB said he sometimes replies to member comments in the outro, just seeing if that's true🤔
nope, lies

This is an abomination unto the Lard, and I'm here for it. 🤣
" Abomination unto the Lard"? What's got your bacon?!

CGB needs to just change his online presence name to be "ShufflersFine"
CGB: Oh nooo bats exist!
By far one of the most nastiest mono green toxic decks...

Cosmic Hunger let's you target yourself, so 1 VenRotPriest targeting another gets the opponent 4 poison at instant speed.
I thought for a minute when you said you was giving away a case, I for some reason thought you was going to say a case of mountain dew lol

I added unnatural restoration, for those pesky sacrifice removals. Plus it proliferates. :D
Ah, this is Quick Toxic. Good to see it has received upgrades

yes, murders at tarkov manor are very common.
NOOOOO!!!!! My last name is Green so I keep hoping on a mono-green winner. But to be soooo Toxic.......I mean, it's not mono-red, right? /cry

green if green was blue

What about invasion of ikoria?
how did he win all these games, my rotpiest isnt coming out in the first place and he ahs 2 rotpriest every game lmao
