Hopefully I can get my 24 Carrera T this summer, Porsche was into electricity when he was a kid. studied it, some of his first vehicles were electric/combustion motors, but his Son, I believe, developed the 911, it’s going full circle, back to electric

Have loved my experiences in Taycans so I assume I will also love the on track benefits and power to the hybrid motors.

What centerlock tool do you use for the track? It looks similar to the electric version that costs $5K, but in your video, someone is using it manually.

I read an article talking about the void engineered into the PDK before Jan 2022, because I put in my order for a 992 GTS that month. I couldn’t think of a reason to invest the packaging engineering time and waste valuable space (modern cars make use of every mm so having a huge void for a motor that’s unused is quite unheard of imo) - I was going to wait to get a 911, but this forced my hand. It took a year for the car to arrive, but I’m glad I pulled the trigger. I was looking at 981 Caymans right before the 718 was announced and the news of the 4cylinder engine made the 981s jump by $10-15K overnight. Give it some time, but the 992.1s will carry a considerable premium over 992.2s and 994/998 as the last full ICE 911. Taycan prices are tanking because folks are getting wise to the hidden future costs of replacing batteries. It’s also clear that the additional complexity of hybridization increases failure points; EV/hybrid tech is still in its infancy, and will be obsolete in under a decade by advancements in tech. ADMs are decreasing, so now’s the perfect time to secure a 992.1 while you still can!

Right on. Gts is currently available with 5 lugs. As are Turbo S. Just have to spec them

Do I go hybrid? It's no different than saying "Save the Manual", save the "air cooled 911". In the future we will be saying "Save the Combustion (ICE) 911". Then tell me what Super Car or 911is LESS valuable with a Manual or Air Cooled? Then its automatic, water pumping Super Car or 911? Buy your last Combustion Manual Super Car or 911 if you can, before you find they are now out of your price range! I post what I preach and two weeks ago finally found a dealer that will sell me an actual allocation for the New ICE 2024 Porsche Turbo S at MSRP next quarter. In 5-10 years I could be wrong, but I beat the ICE Supercars will become much more desirable and valuable than the New 911 Hybrids of 2024. Just my opinion...

Looks like an aero kit car they're testing. I don't expect the gts to have a fixed wing

Think about it this way - the top of the line Panamera is a hybrid. Porsche has a unique take on electrification which is not to make their cars more eco-friendly but more powerful instead. I welcome the hybrid 911!

Agreed. I learned that going from the Tesla S, X, 3 and Y to the Taycan. Taycan drives like a porsche - just electric. It also shifts which is cool.

Hated my Taycan. Had it for 5 months and couldn't wait to get rid of it and back into a 911 w/manual. The car was such a bore to drive and was a bloated pig. EV market is in a freefall. The hybrid is already being panned by us 911 fans (extra weight and complexity) and the big unknown is the manual - the current 992 PDK has a provision for an electric motor while the manual does not.
