Larry Bird greatest passer ever re edit video reaction out NOW!
ua-cam.com/video/VIOIzwa2HKU/v-deo.htmlsi=lmzQ9tvKf12lZlBD
Larry Legend!
What Bird said was it was the best effort he'd seen in a while! Lol. Not the best defense! Lol.
You really need to react to a Courtship of Rivals! that is about Magic and Bird...Before you skip on to others!!!
Larry made everybody better. That's what he wanted
If Larry played in today's pick and pop, no defense, league? He would average 50.
Larry is my favorite for many reasons, but what stands out the most is that he is the most fun to watch
He was definitely fun to watch for sure
A lot of GOATS only 1Legend and that's Larry Bird ❤❤❤
You’re not ready to move onto someone else. Bird is so substantial, you have only scratched the surface of his greatness and his legacy. He stands apart. Bird/Jordan 1a/1b best player of all time.
Hey relax lol! No but I do have one more video after this for him and then I’ll go to Jordan or Pistol…haven’t decided yet
@@CoachWizReacts It's all good. I'm just saying one or two more videos of Bird is not enough to really appreciate the depth of his legend. He and Jordan are very much alone in this unique category, where 3 or 4 videos just don't do the player justice. Their stories are profound, and super impactful compared to every other NBA player.
@coachwiz43 Treat yourself (and us) to the from NickSmithNBA channel that expands upon that 60pt Game. It includes interviews with "those guys on the bench."
Please 🙏
@@CoachWizReacts Here is the problem with Bird. He was some damned good and such a great character that he has a really loyal following. And it doesn't matter if we saw him play live, or if we've seen these clips, or seen 1000 reactors watch these clips. We just keep on coming back for more. You should feel free to react to other players because over time your channel needs to become more about you than about who you're reacting to, but there is so much more great Bird stuff that you'd be crazy to stop at just one more video.
@@shadaxe Agree. I'm actually an L.A. guy who was blessed to see the Showtime Lakers in real time. Magic is my favorite player... but I LOVE watching these Bird reactions, especially the trash talking! Dude was freakin' hilarious! Larry Legend forever.
Larry Bird would dominate in today's "you can't touch them" league. He grew up playing the black cooks and hotel workers in his town after school and he never saw color, unless you put a white guy on him. Good reaction. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for tuning in. It’s crazy how the league is now. You literally can’t touch the offensive players. These legends would have a field day lol
This how he developed that high release on his jumper... to combat the older hotel workers.
Larry is the GOAT for me. There is no other player who was so effective at both ends of the court and who would absolutely baffle the opposing team like Bird could. He was hard to defend because he could literally do anything he wanted to at any given time, and his court I.Q. and awareness were simply second-to-none. If an opponent thought they knew what Bird was going to do, he would make them look absolutely stupid. No other player, man. No other player. There have been more prolific scorers, but Bird didn't need to score to help his team win. He was selfless and would get his teammates open. He would dish off when he was double- and triple-teamed, which happened a lot because he WAS such a threat. There have been far more physically imposing players, but Bird had just enough height that he could shake off defenders, and his shooting release was behind his head so he could shoot over the best defenders. There is so much about Bird that makes him my GOAT; all you have to do is watch the videos. They speak for themselves, and the Legend.
Love the assessment! Very well said
Wilt is the Goat, but Bird id up there. If you compare his overall stats to Jordan, Bird comes out ahead. With assists, and boards, an edge on blocks to Bird and a small edge on steals to Jordan, Bird actually accounts for more points than Jordan.
It's the hustle for me. He loved the game. He's my favorite.
Yes heart has to play a factor
Before Larry Bird was even signed with the Celtics .....he had an accident mangling his pointer finger! After that he felt like he was never at his best shooting the ball! So he was actually a better shooter before he signed with the Celtics! Larry Bird during his reign was considered the best shooter in the entire NBA league..... the entire league!!!
Nothing but net, nothing but GOAT. Best ever.
Nice that you took the time to check out Bird. I grew up with Bird, Jordan ect. Glad your generation is looking back at the greats who made this game what it is today🏀
Yea I want to show some love to past generations as well. They definitely get over looked and forgotten about. It’s been fun and there’s more to come. Appreciate you checking out the video
James Worthy said he would rather guard Joran than Bird because Jordan made you look slow, Bird made you look stupid.
Big facts lol
Bird is my goat, all day everyday 👍🏾
Larry is the 🐐. Period and end of story.
Bird is not only the
Greatest player from
Indiana , Bird is the
Greatest player ever !
Agreed, but don't sleep on Oscar
Larry Legend Mr Clutch 🐐
Top 5 , the final seconds of a close game? GOAT
Best team player is Larry.
Facts!
Well, considering no one could do what he could do, and he could do anything anyone else could do, he's the real GOAT
Amen
Makes sense lol
Or the video of Bird playing hurt. Or Nolan Richardson s take on hearing about Bird while he was driving. ( His hof speech). My all time favorite!)
I’ve seen the Nolan Richardson video. That’s a good one
I was a Knicks fan when Larry came into the league and after watching him play one game I started taping Celtics games.
That’s amazing lol! He was definitely one of a kind for sure
The GOAT baby!!!!!!!!
I put bird as my personal #1 because no other 1 player can do what he could as far as passing, rebounding, assists, steals, ability to score from the 3 to the post nit to mention how clutch he was all while doing things like in this video telling everyone what he was going to do
One of the if not the most clutch player ever
24:13 Wilt, Jordan, Larry, Magic, Lebron, Kareem, Kobe, Duncan, Russell, Shaq. To all the Bron fans chill I still respect the man and ya’ll too ☮️
I’m not made at that. Looks pretty good to me
Great reaction..
Larry Legend.
I have Larry and MJ .1a +1b
Larry Legend
Thank you! Appreciate you watching.
Yessir I
Also, MJ was a guard and Larry was a forward..
If you haven’t checked out Larry Birds greatest passer it’s a must watch. Bird made hard passes look easy Magic made easy passes look hard. What would be extra is comparison of their passing skill.
80’s was stacked cause we need breakdown of greatest teams ever. 86 Celtics, 87 Showtime, 89 Bad Boys.
I want to but people want the courtship rivals documentary 👀
I have Larry at #2 behind Jordan. He's the most complete player in history
You got him better than magic Kareem and Kobe?
Larry is the GOAT.
I watched Larry play back in the day, live in the old Boston Garden. He's on my starting 5 all time for sure. One of a kind.
He was amazing
He looks like Prince…LMAO! That’s the funniest thing I heard all day!
Aye he did though lol! 😂😂😂
That goofy looking "lipstick" white dude Kelly Tripuka was actually a good ball player. He was a 2 time All Star and finished 2nd for Rookie of the Year at 21 pts a game. He averaged 26 points a game his 2nd year in the league and his 5 years in Detroit he averaged about 22 pts a game. He ended up averaging 17 pts a game for his career
I was just playing he actually was really good and had a decent career. He didn’t look so hot in Utah but once he got to Detroit he was balling again.
@@CoachWizReacts oh I know you were goofin around I just wanted to point that out for any youngsters who might not know...Its like Dan Majerle on the Suns in the 90s....good player that people don't know about....another would be Kevin Johnson their PG hell of a player
2:23 here’s what I think about that. Bird was a team player first and foremost. There were only two conditions under which he insisted on the ball. One was game winning shots and the other was when he wanted to make a point.
Any other time, he’d pass it to whoever had the better shot. He averaged 4.6 assists per game as a forward. He wasn’t a selfish player generally.
One of the most unselfish stars ever. One of the best passers ever but still wanted that ball with the game on the line. Loved the legend
No His Career Was 6.?
@@gailshepard-cook6350 even better
@@gailshepard-cook6350 6.3
That is very true.
I saw Bird play. I have him at #3 all time. The dude was straight up ridiculous. No holes in his game.
He wasn’t the greatest defender but who do you have ahead of him?
@@CoachWizReacts He was a great help defender and made 3 all-defense teams. If you watch game 6 of the 1986 finals, which Bird calls his greatest game ever, he beat Houston with his defense, rebounding, and passing. And had numerous key steals. I have Wilt and MJ ahead of Bird.
Lots of goats, only one legend!
Jordan never beat Bird in a series. Jordan also said he would pick Larry over Lebrun
Of course he did
For 10 years, Bird was the best all time. Only problem is his career was shorter than the other guys who are up on that list. So just a matter of how you look at it.
This is very true!
There is very few NBA players who can argue about being the G.O.A.T... but there is only one player those G.O.A.T s tell stories their kids and grand kids about.
That man is
Larry Legend💪😎🏆
This is a FACT
I have him top three. I don't like ranking GOATs 1, 2, 3, etc., because of playing in different eras with different rules. He is top three to me with Wilt and Jordan. As a long time Knicks fan (I'm 68) it pains me to say so - but he was just unbelievable, like the other two. And I would recommend doing a Wilt review - there are a couple of videos that cover what an incredible athlete he was - AAU track champion among other things - and how he used to lift weights with Arnold Schwarzenegger. And he still holds more NBA records than anyone else.
Well said and I agree. It’s hard to do so because of the different eras and rule changes

One of 3 players to ever win three consecutive MVP awards. Chamberlain and Russell
He was that guy. Put the NBA on the map
Larry Bird Goat 1a, Michael Jordan Goat 1b
He don't give af. He has that confidence
You need to watch the video “5 times Larry played hurt”. Which was his whole career!
He always played hurt. Players today wouldn’t understand
Bird is top 5 of all time. He could play in any generation, talk shyt and back it up.
This is true
Hey Coach...two for one...Courtship of Rivals: Larry Bird/Magic Johnson
That’s the one I want to do but UA-cam be flagging people lol. I’m looking into though. It would be a very very long reaction
I grew up watching those games. ✌️
The reason the Hawks were laughing was out of astonishment.
He was doing incredible things, talking sh*t and wreaking havoc on the court.
He wasn't a typical player. He was dropping shots on them and talking where they were just amazed.
Its more like "WTF do we do?!!".
Ridiculous!!
Yea that’s insane to have the other team bench acting like that lol
Larry’s my favorite player and has been my hero since I was 5 years old. I have him in my top 5 all time with Kareem, Jordan, Magic, and Kobe.
Larry Bird is my top 5 all time for sure. And I was a MSU student/fan with Magic Johnson. I hated bird then. But I can't see any team being better without Larry on it.
That’s crazy coming from a spartan
@@CoachWizReacts We had a better team than Bird 3 NBA players on it. Bird was a concern for sure but he was a one man team then. Of course was a Bad Boys Pistons fan too and bird ruined my play off hopes on that inbound pass from Thomas (Idiot) I never rooted for Birds teams except dream team. But I know talent when i see it. He had it in spades, he had that extra something.
If you haven't watched his edited version of passing you're missing out. Also, there are a ton more trash talking videos with different material.
I’m definitely going to react to that one. I’ve gotten a lot of requests for it
Coach , stick with the
Bird videos…. so much
more to learn about this
man ! You just scratched
the surface . It’s also a
guaranteed way to get
your channel monetized .
I recommend reacting to ..
“ When Larry bird almost
made a player commit
suicide “ , “ I am legend “ ,
and “ Bird is the word “
I got show other players some love too lol. I got one more on bird then I’m on to the next. I want it to be a good one
@
It’s all good . Except, only
Jordan and Bird videos get
the views of the masses .
And , congrats on your
Channel getting monetized,
thank Bird . I do enjoy your
Player reactions so far .
Hopefully you’ll throw in
a occasional Bird reaction.
no way Lebron even close to BIRD.... here are the GOAT starting 5
BIRD JORDAN OLAJUAN DUNCAN MAGIC
No Kareem or Kobe?
Bill Walton may have been embellishing his story a little.
We Bird fans are very strong. Stay on him a little bit more. Humor us, OK?•

INSANE when you look at all is the numbers. Thank you for taking the time to put all this out for others to see as well. Bird doesn’t get enough credit for literally reviving the NBA
@@CoachWizReacts Thank you.
Bird is a top ten player, but if I’m building a starting 5, bird is my starting small forward.
10:21 he said it was the best effort, not defense. Kemp clarified it but it may have been edited out.
Yea they did but he said effort the second time around
The goat is 100% Michael Jordan..
And Larry is 100%
The Legend
28:26 here’s the thing your favorite player is not necessarily the best player… knowing that he was talking all this on the court give a look at greatest passes RE-edit…. Have you ever really checked out Dr.J as far as impact he’s way above LeBron..
In 10/20 years people will be telling you that someone else is the goat and that all these players before mean nothing just like your generations doing to mine.. but how much will the rules change again in the future?
Bird, Russell, Wilt, MJ, Magic. With Hakeem and LeBron honorable mention. TBH, I think every person on that list would pick Larry 1st too. Remember this:
MJ was a rookie in 84. Bird won his 1st of 3 straight MVPs in 84(84, 85 86), and his 2nd and 3rd titles in 84 and 86. Jordan never won a single playoff game against Larry. Swept twice and never won a title in the 80s, it took him 7 years, and did it in Larry's last year. Larry missed the entire previous season for double ankle surgery. And remember, he DESTROYED his back paving his Mom's driveway in the summer before his 86 season and was never really the same. He also broke his 1st and 2nd fingers on his shooting hang the summer before his rookie season, so bad, his fingers are still not straight. Still won Rook of the year like 62-2. Dude was a feared assassin.
We can nitpick and highlight differences all day. I believe eras will support and be bias to their era as well. But Larry is clearly one of the best
Bird is the GOAT, the legend did not quit, played with a broken face, bad back, slow white guy and would still get 60 points
Mr. Bird loved to talk shit!! What I love about Larry is he could back up his shit talking.... He played mind games!!! Larry lived in the other players heads rent free!!!
That beginning question is not valid. The video is stitched together to make it look like Bird was a more selfish player than he was. That wasn't the case in reality. The story that K.C. was telling was a joke. Some of the 'supporting' stories were all talking about the same instance. In reality Bird was known at the time for getting the players to play like a team, and to go out of his way to make sure everyone got the ball. To twist things to make it sound like he was some sort of prima donna misses what made Bird great in the first place...inspiring his team. Also, Bird's stats on passing and assists don't tally with a selfish player. It's just wrong.
Even his trashtalking is blown out of proportion. What's described as trashtalking is mostly him telling a defender what his play was going to be. They say that his trashtalking was mostly funny, and not vile. He also could back it up. That's why the greats love him so much. They are in awe at how good he was, and brag to each other the times Bird demonstrated that.
I'm not sure why people today have this bizarre need to slander Larry Bird. The lie that he was overrated didn't work. Now it's that he was selfish. Why?
Very valid points.
In my opinion, his talk was part of the fun. Challenge his opponent to bring it. Or up the challenge for himself by telling them what he was going to do.
Dan Shaughnessy states in his book, _Wish It Never Ended_ that Bird ALWAYS referred to the venues as "gyms" "gymnasiums."
I personally surmise that it was to always keep it a game. The court was always the same size.
I think Bird got joy from playing a great game. Satisfaction. Each game was an opportunity to Win and be his best in pursuit of that.
We all know bird isn’t selfish. One of the best teammates ever and passers of all time. Always made his teammates better and was the most clutch player ever probably. I was just playing relax lol. Real ones know how good Larry Legend was.
I rememberr when he played. He is one of the top; 3 and quite possibly the Goat!
Clyde Drexler "he said condifent? You're a rookie, you don't know anything"
And dropped 10 in a row on him. Coach yanked the rook.
He said, "best effort" I'm guessing Bird appreciated that he kept coming.
And they are both from Indiana.
Both legends in indiana for sure.
Actually the clips were mixed out of order. McHale's 56 point game Larry was feeding Kevin the ball cause Kevin was being guarded by Kent Benson. Benson was terrible to Bird during the short time they were in college together.
That’s crazy
It is simple enough ... but not for the reason, a stat nerd, might think .
Pat Riley tht watched all this stuff from the court side had his famous quote ... for the game Michael Jordan ... for my life Larry Bird .
That’s dope he said that
❤Larry Legend ❤
One of the goats
Coach Wiz, he was a bad ass that's for sure..
One of the best ever!!!!
If you watch interviews with his team mates, you will get a very good idea of how good a team mate he was…as well as captain. He elevated their game.
I think for those of us who lived through his prime era players like him and magic were not simply that they were great basketball players but it was the mental approach...there was one goal, to win and thats all that mattered. Means you play every game with the same mentality no matter if it was preseason, regular season or playoffs, they were out there to beat you and were not your friend during the season. That made for truly competitive games from start of season to finish.
I wouldn't say I liked the Birdman back then. I was a West Coast fan. Lakers, Sonics. Now I know he was an extra special player. Number 1 in my book of school BB.
Ok I see you
My top three. At least top five. If not for a broken back and surgery on both feet, he'd be number one.
Injuries definitely slowed him down or who knows
Coach Wiz, thanks for this, yeah Larry Legend was a trip, this sh*t went on every game, guy was a kill*r on the court..
No problem at all. Appreciate you watching. Got to show love to the greats. Larry legend was insane!
Bird is in my Top 5.
Larry Bird & Magic Johnson these 2 guys were a great rivalry, TODAY best of friends
All around greatest individual player, is Bird. LeBron's great but not greater than Larry Legend.
Lefty birdman,,he screeching on guys,,this is hilarious
Larry improved the Cs by 33 wins his rookie year, and led them to a championship his 2nd year. He won league MVP 3 years in a row, Wilt and Russell are the only other ones to do that. He was voted best player in the NBA in a league with MJ and the dream team in it. He is a better shooter, rebounder, and passer than Lebron. James is a freak athlete and 250lbs. He just backed his way to the hoop for 10 years. He didn't start to develop any moves down low until he started aging. He isn't half the technical player that Larry was. Lebron isn't built like Larry either. Larry had the leadership and killer instinct from day 1....not to mention if there was a game-winning shot....he was going to take it...Lebron ain't that guy. He went to Miami because after 8 years he knew he wasn't that guy, he needed help.. To this day the 2 best players I have ever seen are Larry and MJ hands down. Lebron is consistently great, that's why he is playing as long as he is...He is lacking in the Jordan or Bird moments so if he plays for 25 years he will have all the stats records...He will be an all-time great.... but Larry is a legend
Larry is for sure a better shooter. But that’s it I think. The passing and rebounding is close. Lebron is clearly the better defender. We can nitpick about the greats flaws all day long so I just try to go skill for skill ok these debates.
@@CoachWizReacts Larry has lebron by 3 rebounds a game career wise...as big as LeBron is he he should have been pulling down double digits...and your right we could go back and fourth about it all day long making points. Even if you called it a wash....It still comes down to leadership and being able to make that big shot when the games on the line...Its hard to argue anyone over Larry when it comes to that
@@CoachWizReacts
Bird averaged more
rebounds , more
assists and more
blocks in his career
than James . He is
a better free throw
shooter , better
3 point shooter and
has a better field
goal percentage.
Bird also is a two
time All defense
team . Lebron not
better than bird at
anything on the
court except whining ,
traveling , flopping
and dunking …..
Lebron said Bird was better than him
As he should. Got to pay homage to the greats that came before. Classy guy
So did Magic.
I've got Larry Number Six all-time, after
1. Jordan
2. Kareem
3. LeBron
4. Russell
5. Magic
As for the best player ever from Indiana, yes, but don't sleep on Oscar, Number 10 all time
Not a bad 5 at all. Why do you put magic over bird though? Just asking
@@CoachWizReacts I put Magic ahead of Bird for 3 reasons:
1) 5 'Ships vs. 3
2) For the same reason Russell is at #4. He provided instant team chemistry. While Bird was an excellent passer and a team player, the Showtime Lakers were well known for their team chemistry in the sense that it seemed the right guy had the ball at the right time. And Magic actively made sure it was an easy bucket more often than not.
3) While Bird often dominated a game, Magic would dominate the tempo (Russell did this as well). Magic would not only dictate how you played defense, but would affect how you felt you needed to play to keep up with the Lakers.
There are 2 really good reasons to choose Bird over Magic though:
1) Bird was a better defender
2) Quoting Pat Riley: If I could have anyone to put up a shot to save the game, it would have to be Michael. If I could have anyone to put up a shot to save my life, it would have to be Bird.
All time he's Top 3, but he's not 3
What Bird told Kemp after that game was 'yes, gave you 50, but that was the best defensive effort I have seen in a while'. He didn't say it was the best defense ever against him to that point. Also Kemp was a rookie that season, thus the invite for the summer.
Larry Legend
I loved the story of him telling a rookie that if he missed he'd be benched. watch what happens when I miss. Bird purposely missed. nothing happened. dayum. 🤣
That’s crazy lol
You hqve to put yourself in the position of the hawks players laughing on the bench. They weren't laughing at their teammates they were laughing at larry calling his shots and hitting them. All those dudes were on the bench because bird already tore them up. Antwan Carr I believe had 2 massive dunks to start that game and flexed and it went downhill from there
Na we fighting after the game lol
Larry and Magic are both top 5 ever.
I’d say top three
I grew up just outside of Boston in the 80’s. Went to a game at the old Garden for my 12th birthday. It’s impossible to exaggerate the magnitude of the Celtics/Lakers rivalry. You’d enjoy a documentary called “A Courtship of Rivals”, about Larry and Magic.
Bird is the greatest Indiana player I’m from naptown so I can say it.
I’m from south bend ‼️
Lots of arguments for goats but Larry should easily top ten for anyone who is knowledgeable.
I totally agree. Him and magic I feel get looked over
The video of Hawks falling off bench and hi 5ing after Birds shot..Cut off early..It went on to say Fratello fined them all $3000 ea for that!! 😂😂😂😂😂
That was some decent money back then too 😂😂 I didn’t know that
24:08
When it comes to top 3/5 I reckon most of us could agree a top ten, where they sit in that 10 and who makes the 5...
That's down to stuff like your age and what kinda player u like to watch I reckon.
Depending on how I'm feeling that day I could give u one of 3 or 4 goats. Usually MJ but I've said Larry magic or kobe plenty times as well 😅
I will say Larry probably the greatest all rounder for me!
Very well said! I agree with you 100% I feel like there’s about 10 -12 players who will be on most people top 10 and the order just kind of depends like you said. Appreciate your comment and tuning in
You have to react to the injuries. The 5 times Larry Bird was injured but refused to quit and the 4 times Larry Bird was hurt but showed toughness. Crazy bad injuries. Still dominated.
I know I’m going to check it out. It’s been requested a lot
Goats don't flop
lol they do now
Larry airballed a Steph range 3 just to tell his opponent “I can do that shit and stay in the game.”
Let me tell you something. Larry Bird is the man the goat the all-around player. Period
Over MJ Kareem Kobe?
