    This house was built out of concrete blocks, but it still folded like a cheap suit when touched by the Caterpillar 323 excavator.

    I was a Heavy Equipment operator for a Big Demolition company in Dallas Texas! For many years we had to separate the Brick/concrete/and the wood the Landfill wouldn’t take mixed materials!

      It’s still like that. Everything has to be separated so it can be taken to the recycling depot.

    These machines are incredibly powerful, and they seem almost alive the way they move around.

    That was a 50-60 year old block house. With a chrisp roof line. Sure, it would have taken a lot of money, but it would have looked better than the cheaply built crap in the background.
    I enjoyed this video.

      @Calamity_Jack Місяць тому +2

      Yeah, a LOT of money. Those roof boards, for example, were really weathered, old and worn. I agree, though, that the house had a waaay more character than those gerbil boxes in the background. The lumber in those roof joists, though... sigh. Can't get quality wood like that anymore. It's all cheap, fast-growing pine. Unfortunately, it's more cost-efficient these days to erect huge multi-tenant cardboard rodent houses. I weep for the future.

    The metal scrap yard I take metal to has a big ball of fencing that he uses to sweep the deck so gets all the little stuff people don't throw far enough. They don't have an electro magnet

    The way that place crumbled looked like a hard enough sneeze inside could have blown the walls out.

    19017 East AppleWay Ave, Spokane Valley, WA 99016
    Last sold for $330,000 in 2019. Property is zoned Commercial, probably explaining the high price. The nonstop highway noise is excruciating to listen to.

    Do you guys not keep cinderblock separate from the waste? That what we do otherwise the waste disposal fee would be huge. Cinderblock and concrete can get recycled/processed down to gravel. Curious your thoughts?

    This house reminds me of the punk house I lived in back in the 80’s, except the punk house was much nicer than this place!
    I’m sorry, why does this place even need a front door??? 😂

    i'm guessing the house had structural issues? And since you mentioned smell, the sewer/drain system malfunctioned?
    otherwise, good demo~

      Seeing those newer-looking apartment/condos in the background, it's possible the owners bought out the property for an expansion.

    Cinder block home... horrible R value. So a person studs out the interior walls and insulates. That reduce the foot print while enjoying the cost of two walls.
