Tip! If you've progressed the story too far and have trouble reaching the tower, use the transporter chest in the Tower of Return just west of Castle Morne, and south of the Forth Church of Marika.

If your doing this after beating the last boss and the town is ash run to the tower of return and open the chest at the top you will be transported to where you need to be and then to the left of the giant you can teleport to the elevator and go to the top to restore the rune

This fight was definitely the hardest souls/borne/ring fight that i have ever done. I had to abuse the mimic tear summon and stagger her heaps to even have a chance.
useing that mimic feels like a walk of shame, I did the entire game with two hand big weapons, no spells, no summons, no ashes but after at least 30-40 tries I admitted defeat and beat her useing a greatshield and the mimic...

I absolutely smoked this boss.. but I can't for the life of me beat the final boss.. I'm level 150 and just get wrecked by elden beast.. the homing missiles are a joke.

I found out how to get the waygate (portal) to activate. Make sure to use the elevator shown this this video. If you go directly from the chest or site of grace the portal wont be active. Hopefully this helps.

I'd argue the entire series. I've played through all the games except Dark Souls 1, but I've never seen anything like her.
At that point of the game for me, she just isn’t hard, she is ridiculous, either she doesn’t use her abilities or she does, if she does you die, if you kill her before she does you win, it is just pure AI luck

Mimic with a decent bleed weapon or GS to stun it while you shoot lazors or whack it. Malenia's also easy to interrupt except when she's doing her flurry. I would not want to run that fight again. That waypoint will not activate UNLESS you came from the lift unless you hit the ash part of the game.
yeah mimic tear makes that fight a joke. Beat her in 3 tries... I kinda regret using it now since I really wanted a challenge. Guess I'm gonna have to start a new playthrough lol.

Thank YOU! When you said the Grace was there I was like "Don't mind if I do" I was so stuck running around finding this new area just made my day, so thanks for that. A guide I watched said to go to that fast travel portal and mine was broken haha aka I didn't do these steps first.
Just beat her first try. First playthrough. 130 hours in. Lv 150. Blind playthrough. No emphasis on farming runes, just a consequence of inefficiently exploring the world. Used Rivers of Blood. Used Mimic Tear. She was easy. The Draconic Tree Sentinel outside of Maliketh has been easily the most difficult boss for me. Took me 18 attempts. Radahn, Placidusax, Astel, Maliketh, all the supposed big name bosses were the easy ones, taking less than 5 attempts each.

That flurry combo was pure nightmare
Normal fight is a goddamn nightmare but give your mimic flame of the fell god and lord's heal and watch as she gets knocked down over and over while you get free heals. Just beat her for the first time and didn't use a single flask, just had to pay attention so the grab didn't one-shot me, flurry was easy to deal with cuz of barricade shield, only 18 endurance but my guard never broke.
I skipped haligtree entirely accidentally on my first run. Had to fight her first time in NG+ I seriously ran into that arena for 7 hours straight. This was probably the most exhausting boss I’ve ever did in a videogame

If you simply wanted to be done with it then black knife tiche +10 makes this fight a complete joke. Poor malenia can hardly get up from the floor and is being constantly debuffed. I felt so bad for her

@@orderofshadow yeah maliketh was frustrating rather than annoying. I have alot of fun versing malenia since its a 1v1 against a human whos (most of the time) on the ground while maliketh is jumping around with adhd
This great rune is AMAZING it turns the game into bloodborne
took me 8 hours to beat her but i did it finally (and without mimic because im a stubborn fucker) absolutely amazing fight although the waterflow dance attack is kind of just annoying
Here’s a tip although it’s two years later and you probably forgot this game exists: throw a frost pot at her whenever she does the waterfowl stance, it’ll frost her but temporarily so you can do it again and again on her. Also in second phase you can do that to cancel her scarlet Aeonia stance

Melania fight was majestic one of my all time favorite fights now. She spanked me a bunch of times when she died it was jump out of the chair and extend arms to the sky time
I love this fight, because it's anime as hell and the fact that she acknowledges your strength in the end. Just adds to the satisfaction, that we just beat a tough as nails, unbeatable swordswomen.
Can't wait to fight her without bleed.

Just beat Melania. Had to change my whole build to powerstance spears with one bleed and the other frost. The fight was so much easier since the boss' healing couldn't match the amount of damage the 2 status' were inflicting

@@sakura368 Swarm of flies + Morgott's cursed sword did it for me . It staggers her + blood loss ,first phase melts . 2nd phase tho she does this big wombo combo that kills me . So had to try like 4x .

The dual katana method on her made this so much easier especially with a level 10 mimic we just stun locked and bled the shit out of her
Using 4 katanas trivialize the fight tbh, way to easy and she couldn't do anything, I kinda regretted trying that method. But yeah i also don't want to be stuck indefinitely with her fight so....

@@fishie00 did the same and killed her on my third try in like 2min because the river of blood katanas weapon art is just so op and when me and my mimic use it the bleed effect trigger every 5seconds but I kinda regret it because even tho she is op af I would have liked to have a longer and harder fight with her to make the end even more rewarding like it was against radahn

Just travel to the "Divine Bridge" grace point in Lyndell (if you have it) then go where you fought the giant, and take the teleporter to the left, that's it
To those having issue pre burning tree. I pulled the lever under the starting grace and used the lift up. Not sure which of the two fixed it but it worked for me after.
I just beat her and it was harder than any other boss fight I had in this game. I needed a level 10 spear (the one from tree sentinel in beginning of game) level 10 mimic, 9 flasks, activating a great rune, and the physick. It also took me like 25 tries

from the west capital rampart site of grace, just jump out the window, land on the overhang, run off to the left and land on the roof of the building/shack, hop off and then just run across the street. that opening sequence you did takes way longer.
malenia is the second best boss in the game fighting her was was epic cuz she get effected by your hits unlike the other boss wich you just hit and dodge i felt more powerful when I fought respect for the guy who designed her

Edit: I found out that since the city was already destroyed for me i couldn't get there so instead i used the Trap chest in the Tower of Return in Weeping Peninsula

@@grkly9955 I could try but she'll be no less crazy trust me on that. If you want any tips I advise getting Mimic Tear and level it to 10. That thing becomes a literal tank and was a HUGE boon in me getting through it!

From the first bonfire he shows you, you can just jump off the edge on the left where there's no railing, no need to go all the way up and around the branches lol
I thought I'd never feel the joy of beating a boss after the demon of hatred till I met Malenia
If you want to beat melania easier you can use the sword of night and fire and the mimic tear ashes and just spam the weapon art. Stagger is the key. Also when shes in flower form you can still damage her. Got about two lazer beams off before she flew into the air and had to roll.

@@sirjimssirjims9047i use the sword but it feels like cheating. Its just too powerful, and it does to much stun. And the fire hits for too much while also hitting multiple enemies.

Personally I did malenia on my second try, I didn’t even let her use her waterfowl dance and spammed the ash of war of rivers of blood, she seemed cool but I still think malekith/Godfrey are the best boss fights

Once you've burned the capital tho it resets as if you've never been there. I had to go through the Tower of Return.
Dang! I just went on a wild goose chase when all I had to do was fast travel to the Divine Bridge. Oh well. All the loot in her crib was nice
Tysm ng+2 and never been able to find my way here this run I made it a point to solo her no mimic and felt it was essential to get to experience her great rune tyvm.
Just beat her today after suffering so many beatdowns at her hand. Made the saying "you fight like a girl" a statement of respect. Level 190 using River of Blood with the Thiccest armor, Fingerprint Shield, and Mimic Tear. Defeated Mohg afterwards ironically.

I struggled playing for multiple days trying different things, didn‘t beat Malenia. Switched to using mimic ashes, second try I killed the rot goddess.

2:16 It’s up to the player if they want to kill him, but to the right there is a cheat with the Blessed Dew Talisman in.
I think bleed build was perfect for melenia. I had stupid dps and my mimic could bleed rapidly as well. Despite shredding her in 20 seconds. It still took me 10 tries because any time she pulled out one of her 1 shot kill moves it was a 50/50 chance I survive.
I did it. I defeat Malena today and I'm very happy.
I was fighting her and I had the mentality that using summons is forbidden after countless tries I thought to myself that this is a video game and video games are supposed to be enjoyed and I was not enjoying this fight so I had to use it I used mimic tear in the second phase and then he died shortly after but it gave me a relief and I defeated her in the same try and I was very happy not even feeling guilty in the slightest

To me it was one of the easiest because I had the mimic tear at maximum and we both used rivers of blood...I've finished her in under 10 runs. I had harder bosses, like the beast and the knight and also Alecto, Black Knife Ringleader...the secret is to farm enough and explore enough to reach 100+ level and to have great weapons at minimum 8+.

This is without a doubt one of the hardest bosses I’ve fought in any souls game. Holy hell this took me more tries than id like to admit. I dont even know what the rune does, I’m just milking her ass for the pain she put me through. Big grants if you took her down =) amazing guide
Tbh it's just an above average difficulty Souls boss if it weren't for the stupid Waterfowl combo. I nohitted her all the way through multiple times just to get killed by that combo in one shot.
I will now cosplay her, and she is my most respected boss now more respected than The Nameless King

I can relate to Malenia being hardest boss ever. Even at level 147 it took me 7 hours over a couple of days to beat.

@@JoeyA1 I found her second phase really hard. My build week to rot and a lot of her attacks unblockable. I have seen her being parried and maybe I need to learn that.

I might’ve accidentally trivialized her fight by using maxed out a Mimic Tear and Fallingstar Beast Jaw. If there’s anyone struggling with that fight, these two things will come in clutch for you, trust me

So beat Melina easy enough warped there then the portal was not working checked the comments and someone said make sure u take the elevator or it won’t work so thank you bolth 🤩

I finally defeated malenia on my 10 attempt i used uchigatana and nagakiba both with blood loss to 80 and a random knife with bloodhound step to dodge the flower on her second phase also i used mimic tear so we would stun her whenever we both attacked her and she would get blood loss everytime we attack her got me very happy

Anyone having trouble beating melina just use the swarm of flies incantations. With bloodhound step in ur main hand . And it’s fairly simple . Took 5 tries with my mimic summon helping take some aggro off of me
