It's a tale as old as time. Poor want money, the rich want happiness, the hungry want food. You're right you should focus on what you do have. Your girl loves you, you've got food and a place to live. Plenty of reasons to be happy. Keep up the videos. Love seeing different parts of the world. Your content gives all of us insight. Thanks Mac

Love your honest, open, outlook on living in an adult Disneyland 24/7. Having been to Pattaya many times, over the past 20 years, I can see how it could wear you down. Thanks for making this video.
Sharing your musings like this, I find every bit as engaging and entertaining as the informational videos. 8 minutes, to the point, no waffle, no wasting viewers time. 8 minutes to share what it sometimes takes other creators 48 minutes to say! This is the way 🚀 🙏🏻
Hey Sam you would know this from your previous work here in Oz, what would you think to yourself if you interacted with someone on the street who seems to constantly have pinpoint pupils? Maybe I'm talking out my ass or maybe your friend needs some help??
I can attest that Pattaya is the Garden of Eden and not dirty. I was always amazed at how clean and friendly this city is. Mac was show much fun to hang out with and showed me the city!! Thank you Mac!
Life is sort of meh everywere after a while mate. Young men would murder for your spot and a girl who calls to say they lonely. Even when they call you to mutch. Your vids are great and your looking at future plans like your yacht-party. The poss. out waights the neg. site. Good luck !!
I lived in Pattaya for almost 6 years. I found that you have to get away from the nightlife stuff and not just focus on other things. The hardest part for me was, Thailand is friendly, but only friendly to a point. You are a foreigner and you always will be. On top of that, it is a tourist city so they treat most people like tourists. All of that makes it hard to find a reality there that is....real. In the end, I actually moved away. Moved to the Phillipines. I go back and visit 4 or 5 times the last year and I think I feel happier about my normal life and FAR more excited when I go back. Not complaining. It was an amazing 6 years there with a TON of fun and more memories than I can count. I promised myself I would move there for almost 20 years and I did it. I would not change any of it. Stay strong Mac and keep your head up.
Sounds like you need to leave for a bit I go to the uk once a year it refreshes the soul and makes you appreciate Pattaya more I’m here 🇬🇧 now and I’m buzzing to get back 💯 uk is a dump now Anywhere gets boring after a year
Having specific goals and STRICT rules is important in a place like pattaya.... especially if you're involved in the night life but it applies to everyone including the retirees. 1. Having a consistant iron clad schedule of days off every week from partying and drinking. 2. Some kind of consistent exercise program that you keep track of and force yourself to keep improving at. 3. Short term and long term goals outside of women and partying that you hold yourself to.
I'm 45, and I found Pattaya at 35! I spent 4 holidays a year there, and I always planned to live in Pattaya at 42 when I retired, I went for 3 months at 42, and I decided I was far too young for that life. Once the novelty wore off and everyday life became the norm, the place absolutely irritated me! It was just a holiday for me, I'm happy I tried to live their to find that out about myself.....having said that! See you Monday, can't wait! 🎉🎉
Getting older can be defined by things you once thought that were fun and exciting becoming lame and boring. You just gotta take a moment from time-to-time to smell the flowers.

Congratulations! Thank you for sharing life’s reality. As an “o’l goat” who has been travelling since 1970, it’s refreshing to have a person who shares the real life of and the not so great days of living the Dream. Keep up the fair and balanced contribution👍.
The musings you had and shared and then coming back around, essentially talking yourself back into a better, more positive mindset was pretty cool man. I hope to see you when I visit in November. Cheers man.
Have you ever been in a nightclub and really into it and then at the end the lights come on.. it's like a trance is broken and see it's just a bit of a dumpy place with sticky floors. After a while Pattaya got like that for me, the lights came on and I saw it in that light and I couldn't un-see it
Dude, love your videos. I can relate to your malaise. I lived in Las Vegas, the most exciting electric Playground on earth- and felt the same way after a year. Human nature, I think. I found making, and focusing, on a few longer term goals (3-5 yr goals) helped resurrect the excitement. I wish you the best. Scott.
Agree! Been in pattaya for 1Yr and I feel the same…even partying, the first months were cool but then it’s gets boring, same music same place….the way I keep myself “greatful” is by watching my old photo before I came here….
Refreshing to hear a tuber share personal thoughts how life in Pattaya settles after a lengthy stay. At the end of the day it’s what each person makes of their life situations. Stay positive, stay occupied, stay chill.
You have just described life for pretty much all of us. New & exciting things only stay that way for a while. Then real life takes over and you need to plan and do things with your time. Keep your pecker up fella
I lived in Pattaya for 19 years it has been a learning experience with ups and downs.Had multiple businesses in the past and now retired enjoying life. To live in Pattaya you must have self control is number 1 important and will be here for many years to come. Oh yah I just want to say your doing a good job on tube keep up the grind and you will grow.
Great insight Mac. I wish I had it at your age. Good on you for creating something for yourself, rather than working a nothing job back home. Love your work!
The end of the video is very true, be grateful you're living in Thailand, the UA-cam is going great and you're surrounded by good friends 🙏 it's 7am at the moment in the UK and walking to the gym is COLD!! See you soon brother
Agree about the mindset change after a year or so. I lived so far in bkk for 18 months now. It’s not quite as exciting now , but still great for sure , but I’d much sooner be here than back in the uk 🇬🇧🙏
Keep your chin up mate, your videos are good, make a plan come back to UK next summer for a month or so and travel to some other places or other countries, mooch about a bit more. I did what you're doing now back in the late 90,s early 00,s (no cameras) make the most of it before the time goes! Good luck.
Its cool how as a creator (i make music not videos tho) when we look back at our previous work we can remember the mood we were in when we made it and almost remember the day.
Dont sweat it bro, once your channel blows up more youll have more opportunities to travel wherever you want and get chances to delve into a wider range of business as well as leasure. Just grind it out these next couple years man.
I feel ya man, Bangkok is great but after 2 years here Im numb from it all... that's why I've been coming to Pattaya so frequently to feel something different, but after a few days there I can tell I'd get the same feelings within a few weeks or months there.
I lived a year in Spain and I think it's completely natural to get to that 'this isn't new anymore' vibe. Feeling like a wondering soul always looking for another challenge seems to be at a mans heart. Like you say you've got a few changes coming up you can be excited for and as hard as it is you are right to look for areas to be grateful in. If it helps you feel any better the weather back in Blighty has been awful, absolutely lashing it down for days whilst you're sat on the beach and it's starting to get cold as well, so I hope that's a little gratitude buff for ya :) I'm tempted to go to Pattaya for 6 months myself but the pros and cons aren't really in my favour atm.. If you can find your reasons to keep going, then live the life bro...plenty in limbo like me. Sounds like you need a drink with a good buddy to talk things over
Hi Mac ! This is pretty normal. You need to break the routine in order to recharge once again. It is very true too much of everything is known to be a nightmare 😢. Change and variety now and again is the way to go. Keep it up mate, your videos are also doing great ❤❤❤
Go and explore Asia. Your channel is aligning perfectly. Most of my best memories of living here 14 years from the age of 19, are the trips with my best mate(s) to HK, MC, SG and PH. Right now, I have two children, a wife, houses, i spent most time working and driving the kids around. We go on holiday to Europe 2-3 times a years with the occasional short trip abroad with just my wife. Once a year a guys trip to Cambodia or similar. Its important to find balance. I made (East) Pattaya my base, my home, but that does certainly not mean that Ive got the be here 365 days a year. Id get mad.
I spent many years in Thailand in a 12-year period, and i relate to so much of what you said, it was like watching myself in a way, my love affair with Thailand probably started to fade out in year 6-7 and only that long was probably down to the fact i had a good supply of money and was young , looking back now i just got tired of the place and i probably should have called it a day 5 years before i did, i I'd seen so much , experienced so much and wanted to relieve some of the amazing experiences i'd had but the truth is the spark had gone for me and once that happens its time to call it a day . Something i didn't do early enough There is something magical about not knowing everybody and not having been here or there, but there comes a time when you have done everything so many times you can never get that excitement back that you once experienced. .
@@akl4709 Transactional. Yep, you nailed it. I return to Pattaya in 3 weeks, staying for almost a month. Love it there, but not sure I could do it long term.
Yeah Mac your living the dream at a young age, it doesn't get much better. After years of coming here, I came here permanently around the same time as you. Understand the feelings you share. Keep networking and making your videos, I see opportunities opening up for you.
Straight up bro. Gratitude. You can always start bouncing around again even with your gal. Maybe an excursion into Myanmar for a different kind of excitement? I'd dig some boots-on-the-ground reporting of what's going on there from your perspective.
Well done for being honest, bored with not much to look forward to can make you over think. I’ve travelled around Thailand, elephant trekking up north, Bangkok, Islands etc. The hot weather, ladies and being around so much alcohol, I can only take for so long. May be some time back at home with your family to recharge. I’m quite lucky with where I live in the UK, Bournemouth etc. Not roasting all the time, but comfortable. Keep your chin up, I know where you’re coming from.
KEEP YOUR CHIN UP MATE. LOVE YOUR VIDEOS. ITS GOOD TO LET IT OUT AND HAVE A MOAN. WE ALL DO IT. ENGLAND IS MISERABLE AT THE MOMENT. STAY THERE AND BE MINDFUL EVERYDAY. IM BACK THERE ON 21st DECEMBER FOR 3 weeks. I had best part of 3 months out there in Pattaya and it does catch up with you. 👍
I'm going there in January, and take it from me: A guy who sits in a cubicle working in IT at 40 years old, bored out of my mind - just having that climate every day is paradise. Gonna do everything I can to be able to live and work in Thailand.
Go back to Wolverhamton for a month and you will be all refreshed ready to go back to Thailand. I feel the same after a visit Stoke having moved to Melbourne 10 years ago. I know Melbourne is better but sometimes I feel so low and empty and as you say 'meh'. I also know Stoke isn't the answer.
I’m from stoke, have lived here my whole life. Nearing the end of my twenties in a few years and thinking about doing some travelling as i don’t really have any ties here other than family. Was it worth the move for you ?
@@opexsol3979 If I didn't I would have always regretted it. I first backpacked around the world for 3 years when I was 27-30. Then emigrated to Melbourne 5 years later. The stuff I miss the most are the things I moaned about most. Port Vale, common people in the pub, crap food like meat and potato wrights pies. I miss it all. I can always move back I guess.
@@TigerWoody77 you’re spot on with all of that, it’s getting pretty bad in old stoke these days with everything that’s going on in the country.. i feel like if i don’t make a decision soon i’ll be stuck here forever and nothing scares me more than that. Thanks for the insights man, good luck out there!
I lived in Pattaya for a good while, this is when I owned a bar there in Soi 2, gotta say it does get daunting at times. Maybe better to get away to Huh Hin for a few weeks, chill out, relax and do some videos there, a change of scenery will do you good. I'm back in November and staying for 2 months, maybe catch up with you for a few beers 🙏 chok dee
I’ve been 3 times to Pattaya in a year and traveled a little bit around Thailand 🇹🇭 I have Thai girlfriend she works in the market not bar scene she doesn’t like going to the bars, i know a bar owner a little bit, I’m bored with the bar girl scene but i love playing pool and having a beer, bored with the bar girls but i still like Pattaya for what it is and you can still do many different things, i love travelling from Pattaya visiting different places in Thailand 🇹🇭
Pattaya is like every other city but with more of everything. I use to go often and fly in every other month. But if I can share one thing after watching a lot of your videos. Like every city. Staying long enough can be abit meh. What helps me is doing little things that makes me smile everyday. But hang in there go to the country side and get away from the beach and the sun. It night help. Stay strong keep making those videos.
The burnout rate is mostly 3 years for most guys. I've been watching your videos, and the lifestyle you are living, especially with the drinking, is 3 years max. It's completely normal how you're feeling. I’ve done all of Thailand, finishing with running my business in the Philippines 🇵🇭. I would never leave the UK again full-time. I would do 3 to 6 months max in any one year. That's the best way to do it.
Your a young lad... I was 25 when I first went to pattaya. I was addicted back then. I married a Thai bar girl in 2002 from Soi 8 and I'm still with her. I've visited Pattaya 4 times in a year, three with the wife. I have really noticed how Pattaya has changed over the years. Ask anyone who was there pre millennium and they will tell you. OMG... Not the old "in the good old days" but believe me it was great back then.
Ive been a few times to pattaya and like you i do like it there , but was there for a month and did find it got a bit monotonous after a week or so . But i think a lot of it comes down to our mindset after a while when were there . I get stuck in that daily rut of the same thing everyday , wake up , go get a coffee , some breakfast , then maybe a massage and sunlounge , then to a mall , or market then dinner , then the bars lol . Rinse and repeat the next day. Ill definately be back though but next time i think i will break up my time in pattaya and just spend a few days there at a time
When Pattaya becomes boring it’s time to go explore, do the islands or go south of Thailand. Sometimes a break is good for your mental health too good luck and keep doing what makes you happy👍
Mac, you just need a new challenge. Maybe start travelling around Thailand and youtubing all the areas. 1. You will feel different when you return home to Pattaya and appreciate it bc you've been gone 2. It coincides with your business which is making videos about Thailand. 3. You'll get to practice your Thai more in other areas which is growth 4. You may just find another area of Thailand you like better. I think this will get you out of your funk.
Lived in Pattaya for 10 years, moved back to the uk with the plan to go back one day but actually prefer it for living back here. Thailands good for a bit of drinking a bit of fun with the girls and some training. Birds back here in the uk are not looking for a hand out which is refreshing, just my experience.
That’s because 90% of the girls in pattaya are on the game. And let’s be real here pattaya isn’t Thailand, the rest of Thailand is absolutely nothing like pattaya. Staying in the worlds biggest red light district is not good for your health long term
I think spending too much time in a holiday destination can grind one’s patience thin… I think moving slightly away from the action would help balance your lifestyle and keep you interested in Pattaya but also make you experience and share what that whole region has to offer
You are a champion bloke,, would love to meet you and I buy you a beer, you speak from the heart, I come there in January 25th, keep your head up and keep going, thanks
You said you worked in a bar, see if you can do say 3 days in a bar so that you have a mind change. Nothing is fake, we make it fake. Life being young is the time to explore, me now at my age did that and don’t think i could do it again. Happiness inside is key, life is short. I like your Vlogs keep them going ! Would like to catch up with you next year, a English dude and a New Zealander 👌👍 take care out there.
Victories secret. The gift that keeps on giving 😂 As others have said try find a hobby that you keep as yours. Doesn’t have to be any UA-cam videos if you want to keep it as your own little escape
I think you should consider expanding the scope in terms of geography and content. You can travel to other parts of Thailand and explore and adventure diversify the content
Yuval Noah Harari has a great take on "excitement". It's like a drug.....if that's all you pursue, the effect wears off because it's not "real". Life was never meant to be a series of bars, women, drinks, and such. The quiet times and simple things are important. That's one reason I only visited Pattaya once, and why I spend most of my time in Thailand in the less-known, quieter areas. Beautiful country, beautiful people once you're away from the very tourist-dense areas.
Hey dude, yes I am American haha. Newer viewer but a long time Thailand fan. I've been several times to Pattaya and I'm considering moving there. If it's possible can you talk about long-term places to live in Pattaya. If so, thanks. Your mate Shane.
Mac believe me I have lived in three different countries in my life and after awhile it’s natural for you to become numb to your surroundings. Regard the boat party I would be interested in that and will be in Sin City on the 8th of November.
I´m around your age or a bit older and lived 1 1/2 years in Bangkok and the last 6 months got quite boring to be honest, even in the big city. I´ve visited Pattaya almost every 2 weeks. Been to Phuket multiple times for 2-4 weeks each. Been to Vietnam for a week. Not sure what it was but never felt home. Now I´m temporarily back in my country since May 24 and miss Thailand again. Didn´t really expect to miss it that quick after only 4 months. But yeah. Will head to Thailand in December again. But wont sign a yearly contract again. Monthly seems the best option so you´re flexible to move around. Just in case, if anyone is planning to, look for something like a monthly based contract.
Go explore other parts of Thailand with your girl. You can even see other parts of Asia like Vietnam. Not sure if that’s your cup of tea but it beats staying in one place all the time.
Thailand will change you almost on a daily bases. Been here a month and I feel everything this man is saying already. Have not even made it to Bangkok or Pattaya yet. Krabi is a bit addicting but think its more expensive I think. Be very careful with the 3 day rule. You will fall in love by morning they are just to dam cute and know exactly what you need what ever the heck that is. Becareful what you say they are listening.

Something i didn't do early enough
There is something magical about not knowing everybody and not having been here or there, but there comes a time when you have done everything so many times you can never get that excitement back that you once experienced. .
Hey buddy most of your videos are upbeat, fun and jam packed with useful content … It’s ok to have a Lull from time to time… chin up lad 🤝
I think a real banger vid Bro, reality. Can't wait for your future projects.
Your comments at the end of the video are perfect. Live by it mate
From my short experience i felt like pattaya can take a toll on yourself if you stay there long term . Everything seems very fake .
It not only seems fake. It is fake, a better way to say it is: everything is transactional in Pattaya
@@akl4709 Transactional. Yep, you nailed it. I return to Pattaya in 3 weeks, staying for almost a month. Love it there, but not sure I could do it long term.
@@LaSouthernGemini Pattaya is a hero unless you stay long enough for it to become the villan
Yeah Mac your living the dream at a young age, it doesn't get much better. After years of coming here, I came here permanently around the same time as you. Understand the feelings you share. Keep networking and making your videos, I see opportunities opening up for you.
Cheers mate appreciate that
Fully understand lad 😲your NOT the new kid in town anymore
A wee break elsewhere in Thailand 🇹🇭 refresh & bk you feel better for it
Straight up bro. Gratitude. You can always start bouncing around again even with your gal. Maybe an excursion into Myanmar for a different kind of excitement? I'd dig some boots-on-the-ground reporting of what's going on there from your perspective.
Good meeting you all tonight at Chick. Looking forward to chatting more in the future.
I be there in jan aswell can't wait hope you have a good trip
We all hit bumps in the road. Today may be shitty and boring, but tomorrow could be the best day ever. God bless!!!!
Good Video Fam!
Life means change
Good video brother I know exactly what you mean. You do a good job On here and be good to run into sometime have a chat.
Chin up brother ❤
Ive been a few times to pattaya and like you i do like it there , but was there for a month and did find it got a bit monotonous after a week or so . But i think a lot of it comes down to our mindset after a while when were there . I get stuck in that daily rut of the same thing everyday , wake up , go get a coffee , some breakfast , then maybe a massage and sunlounge , then to a mall , or market then dinner , then the bars lol . Rinse and repeat the next day. Ill definately be back though but next time i think i will break up my time in pattaya and just spend a few days there at a time
No matter where you are in life, we always question our happiness.
Love the videos and I’m coming in January 👍
Love the last Shot , drop down have a Yarn - blue trash bins as the backdrop 🤣 authentic 👍👍
Thanks again 🤙🏽🤙🏽
Great Channel Mac right on the money your vlogs
Issa BANGER !!
When Pattaya becomes boring it’s time to go explore, do the islands or go south of Thailand. Sometimes a break is good for your mental health too good luck and keep doing what makes you happy👍
Great video as always 👍cheers
Fair play pal, I actually drove past you last week in a Bolt. i would have loved to say hello !
Chocolate would be boring if you ate it every day .and would make you sick ..😊😊😊😊.
Your in paradise! Go home, things has changed I say for the worst. Suck it up, your young, enjoy, or work your life away trying to make ends meet.
Where ever you ho in the world its great at the beginning
Love the last scene with the rubbish bin background 😂😂😂😂. You need a trip to bkk... Soon!
I couldn't live in Pattaya full time, got my condo in Bangkok and every month I head down to Pattaya for a 3-4 day blow out then back to BKK.
Take up swimming. Hope you can swim. It will do you a world of good, your mind and body.
Victories secret.
The gift that keeps on giving 😂
As others have said try find a hobby that you keep as yours. Doesn’t have to be any UA-cam videos if you want to keep it as your own little escape
You checked out Laos, Cambodia, or Vietnam?
I loved Pattya but, after checking out other places in the region it's like a refresher.
I think you should consider expanding the scope in terms of geography and content. You can travel to other parts of Thailand and explore and adventure diversify the content
Lol, great background choosing (the garbage dump)
Lol that subscriber almost lost his kid LOL
😂😂👍
Send me an email mate, my email is in the description to my videos
I like going to Thailand for a month once maybe every 18 to 24 months. I tried going close together trips and wasn't as good.
FROM VANCOUVER NO IDEA HOW FOUND YOU HERE IM WATHINHG YOU
❤❤❤
Hahaha I spotted you yesterday in Pattaya
Good video , sounds like you need or holiday or an adventure. Are you a traveller , explorer, that's why you get bored 🤔
Is the Elevate yacht party being put on by the Elevate weed shop on Soi 6?
No separate
Nice video
Go explore other parts of Thailand with your girl. You can even see other parts of Asia like Vietnam. Not sure if that’s your cup of tea but it beats staying in one place all the time.
Thailand will change you almost on a daily bases. Been here a month and I feel everything this man is saying already. Have not even made it to Bangkok or Pattaya yet. Krabi is a bit addicting but think its more expensive I think. Be very careful with the 3 day rule. You will fall in love by morning they are just to dam cute and know exactly what you need what ever the heck that is. Becareful what you say they are listening.
I’ll drop you a message after this mate ❤️.
your good at videos
