Really enjoyed your tour video, how great is that that they give you that amazing discount for your dedication to the country. PS you still owe Melody a dance in the ballroom
Thx for sharing. I plan to visit NYC, DC, Mount Vernon, Jamestown and Willaimsburg. These are the places, where Ameica started and the pilgrims lived. I hope the American spirit remains well and alive today.
We love Colonial Williamsburg as there is so much history that you can learn from. Our school used to take the fourth graders there every year to tie in with our Social Studies Unit. One of my favorite parts was the courthouse. We sat through the reenactment of a court scene. We do love our Veteran discounts as well. Always a lovely benefit. That is a lot of food. Looks yummy. The Mellow Mushroom looks like the place to visit.... 👍🏼Definitely want to try them next time we go. Love the maze! Way to find the way out, Melody! Pretty cool shot of the maze from that mount. I love Ghost Tours. They say if you are going to catch a Ghost you will catch them in photography. So. look at your photos closely. Great Video!!! Mary💕Fred
@@LivingOurDreamNow We are at the Gate Way to Cape Cod. Heading to Maine this weekend. We will camp near a Renaissance festival where we will dress up in period costumes. Then off to Moody Beach, Patton Pond and Arcadia.
I really enjoyed your upload. We have to get over to this part of Virginia. The last time we went we stayed in Lynchburg. This upload is very educational for all to watch. It’s so nice when you visit places and they give military and law enforcement discounts. Thanks so much for sharing.
Colonial Williamsburg is my happy place you have done an amazing job capturing the beauty of the colonial city the ghost tours are awesome I would recommend try one of the taverns Chowing’s Tavern is my favorite but they are all good in their own way thank you for sharing your adventure in the colonial capital Huzzah!
Nice vacation trip to Williamsburg !! It looked like you went at a nice time. It didnt seem to be very crowded for you. Nice save on the admission pass ! (leaves more money for...lunch, and ice cream)lol Beautiful houses, and gardens! The Governor's palace was so nice. Now, you said you could go back at 4 to 5pm, and do your self guided tour...did you go back so you and Melody could have that dance in the Grand Ballroom ?! 😉 In the kitchen, did you get to sample any of the food they were making? I love the sound of the carriage's going by! Those punishment things...oh my. I do remember tho, when Ed and I were there on our Honeymoon, I think I have a pic of him in them ! (they used to let you do that) Woo hoo, Lunchtime! lol Whoa, looked delicious ! and a tasty brew too ! (was it a special ipa ?) That was funny , when you got semi-lost in the Maze! That looked fun! lol, maybe you should have gone up the "mount" and looked first, befor you went in the maze! 😁 Very interesting, that the mount, was originally an ice vault, that held ice that was cut and packed in there, from ponds and canals during the winter months. I noticed alot of birds singing during your video...so nice, and peaceful sounding. OMG, what a huge, huge oak tree! Amazing! Did the sign out in front of it say how old it might be?... If I saw correctly, did they really drive screws into it for a sign that said what kind of oak it was? (thats terrible, seems like that would allow disease to get into the tree, or just the fact that there were screws put in there, would be damaging enough) ( just a thought) The drum and flute guys were cool! The blacksmith shop, so cool. I think I remember on a trip there with my parents, (way back in the day) when I was a kid, they would pound out a nail, and hand them out as they made them. Wow, George Washington, how cool is that !! Ghost tour really seemed so fun. Im glad you had a wonderful time, and the weather was good for you! Thank you so much for sharing, and showing us around, and all the things you got to see and do !! very enjoyable!! vicky
Colonial Williamsburg truly exceeded our expectations Vicky. The folks that work there and that we encountered were knowledgable and entertaining. No food samples during the time of our visit, but our lunch at Merchants Square was awesome. Lou
Wow, another great video. Wish I would've known y'all were in the area. We live very close to there. Would love to have at least met both of you. We spent almost two weeks this past March boondocking down in central Florida based solely on the info from your videos. I spend A LOT of time on UA-cam researching places to boondock and I can say your channel is the most informative I've ever come across! Please keep up your dedication and hardwork. Thank You!
