If you stay at a property owned by Colonial Williamsburg, you usually get length of stay passes for the Historic Area which would save some money. I believe you can get up to 2 passes per room.
That place looks so huge! Love that you don't need guides for the whole thing. The Thomas Jefferson act looks really funny, I love historical places that are chill.
Wonderful video!! I’m visiting Williamsburg and Jamestown tomorrow. Disappointed how they charge for everything, but looks like just walking around there’s still a lot to see.
My son's birthday is in December and we usually go for Grand Illumination. You have to book dinner super early for that time, if you want eat in a tavern. It's one of our favorite things to do.
Glad that I checked this out. I'm embarrassed to say that I have not been down to CW from RVA yet after living here for over three years and thought I might swing by for a few hours to visit there but now think that I'd need more time, at least a full day. So much too explore!
Thank you for this! We did almost all the same things you did, including the pizza, except we did not have time for the museum. We must come back. We also ran out of time to stop in Richmond. We had wanted to try Ipanema on Grace St.
Hi. Thanks for your tips. I will be in Williamsburg next year, in June. I' m from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and I' ll drive from Florida to NY and Niagara Falls. I've just included Williamsburg in my route, after whatching your youtube video. I really thank you for it and so sorry for my bad English, because I am learning yet. See you! Take care!
You CAN go on the property any time with or without a badge. You just cannot go in the buildings with the flags out front without a badge. There is no gate to go through. Walk there any time of the day or night and enjoy the beauty and going in the shops in the historic area and Merchants Square!
Been there a lot as I live around 100 miles away. At one time the pricing was set so even a 1 day visit was better buying the season pass. My last trip I bought 5 season passes and took family there. Ruined the visit as my now aged back just could not take it. Love the history and buildings. Not much for kids. Once bought a book on all the restaurants near there and after trying several decided the Cracker Barrel was best. (long ago and I do not eat at the Barrel now). When touring do not fix on the speaker or you will miss a lot of buildings detail. Skip Rockefeller movie but see short Patriot movie starring a young Jack Lord. Jack never played a better part. I bought one of the videos. Sets the stage for your visit. Some buildings close down early so see them first.🦇
Hey im going to colonial Williamsburg to take in all the history and try to experience what life was like in colonial VA BTW im having lunch at mellow mushroom 😂

Yes if you don’t want to pay for Williamsburg, you can still experience the vibes - you just can’t go inside anywhere.
Thank you! 💚💚

Five times..concerts at the Governors Palace, The Inn etc..Wythe House.
Also touring the Plantations along the James..many fond memories.
The concerts sound so fun!
So glad you mentioned vegan options! It’s so difficult to travel and find good food we can eat.
@@lisaames5852 always!! That’s why I def mention it in all my videos. 💚

Right! We barely had time for the museum!! Also another great restaurant in Richmond is 821 Cafe. Such a big menu & great selections 😍

Your English is great! Sounds like such an epic trip!! If you can fit in Washington DC, that could be cool too. ☺️
Don’t forget to hit up Busch Gardens 😎

Yay for vegan options!
Nice video and good info.
But let the guy talk!!!!
You ask a question but don't let him finish his answer.
That drives me nuts.
Haha yeah, you’ll find that happens a lot when filming. If it makes you feel better he talks a lot in real life without interruption. 😝
