Your videos of Williamsburg are the best way I can visit there without leaving my home. Even though i have been there more than 40 times, I learn something new from you. Thank you.
Amazing the amount of information from over 200 years ago. Glad GW kept journals and glad they survived the passage of time. Thanks for another wonderful video.
Your videos are so informative. My wife and I retired here to Williamsburg in 2020. I have learned so much more of the history here then I thought I knew do to your videos. I love walking down the Duke of Glouster and knowing these amazing facts that you have shared. Thank you for your hard work. Kevin
Thank you So Much for your educational & Beautiful presentation I will always treasure the memory of my visit there & I long to return to see the rest of COLONIAL WILLIAMSBURG ❤ 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 ❤
So fascinating. Many people are unaware of the fact that around 1921 ,a bronze statue of GW was sent to Britain. It stands in Tralfagar Square. There's also a GW statue in Paris
It's a mesmerizing thought to think of all the founding Fathers and other famous people who lived in and visited Williamsburg , during the colonial period.
What a terrific job you did on this ! You could do these videos for the Williamsburg travel bureau , or to be shown in history classrooms. Have you always been fascinated with history in general, or George Washington in particular ? Do you read a lot of books on Washington ? I was wondering how you knew how many times he visited each place ? And this is a stupid question, but how far did he have to travel to come to Williamsburg from Mount Vernon ?
Thank you and so glad you enjoyed! Yes, i love history and research lots of articles, books and write ups on Washington to discover the history. For this one I also had some fun connecting dots and reading parts of his journals to bring the stories together. So much fascinating details out there about him. Would love to do docs for travel bureau & schools! The road was known as Washington’s Burgess Route that would take Washington from Mt Vernon to Williamsburg. I believe it was somewhere around 140 miles or so! Thanks for commenting and watching!!
Beautifully done. I can only aspire to rival you by producing other related works on Washington and other Patriots by using techniques complimentary to your style, but clearly my own by the grace of God. These men and women deserve the finest tributes we can muster. God bless you.
I just subscribed to your channel. Love all the information and history and your video presentation. Christiana Campbell's Tavern just opened this week, October 11th, after being closed since December 2019 and it's an honor to be part of her reopening. Stop by soon when you're in the area!

The administrator of our site is a descendent of the Rockefellers
@@donnapekar3848 I know he told me about that! That's amazing!
Alot of Taverns in Williamsburg back then...
People drank there, but taverns were the hotels of the day as well.
Ben Franklin used to visit Little England, outside Williamsburg.
I did not know that Marilyn! Thanks for sharing!🎩
“But Todd! Todd! You love colonial Williamsburg! It’s as things should be!” 😅
Duquesne pronounced Do Cane. Like the character Caleigh Duquesne on CSI Miami
Dunmore flees Williamsburg on June 8, 1775. He flees Virginia from Norfolk in 1776.
Thanks for clarifying Melissa. Appreciated!
