and its a double edge sword, man. i am telling you.
i been there, not that i have some significant impact on real life, but rather after a brefie moment of joyment (if that make sense) i lost the concept on who the tf i am.
Charisma is a secondary thing. wont last long itself. and When the sword falls, is you or others it falls on.

I am not a very huge podcast fan but this was FANTASTIC. Both great conversationalists, if I may humbly suggest I'd like the interviewer scratch deeper some of the concepts discussed but not only confirming but also contrasting and scrutinizing for the sake of dissecting the arguments and ideas. I know not everything can be covered and the convo has to move forward but it's just a point I noticed in podcasts, a lot of reciprocal confirmation but less dissection and debate about the concepts. I dunno if I am explaining myself. Just my 2 cents. Great content I'll be wathcing.

That’s so true about talent. I’ve always been good at drawing painting and being creative when it comes to visual art. I’ve been gaslit my whole life and allowed myself to devalue my talent and flopping at most other things I do, yet art has always been a lingering constant.

@@gabrielgarcia-fraire9504 There are a lot of great things that can be done with artistic creativity. You have to let go of the idea of "starving artists" ... or that no one pays for that. Look at all the luxury products (for example) that require that creativity.

Same here. I realized later in life that non-artistic people were jealous, this was the reason why they put me down on purpose. I was adopted & my musical & artistic talent was never supported by them. They simply had no talent in art. They were more academic & mentally rigid.

@bitcoinCrashes ... I am an introvert ... but went into Sales. By speaking one on one with clients, I got very comfortable with it. Soon, I transferred that comfort to speaking to larger groups. I did not use any of those "weird" suggestions like - Imagine the audience is naked. ??? Instead, I realized, I'm passing along useful information to this group. And that's something I can feel very good about. So it became just as easy as talking one on one with a friend.

It really boils down to a few things. Learning public speaking, body language, and nonverbal communication, social dynamics, interpersonal communication, psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, sales, human resources, management, etc. actually you can see a lot of this in street magic, and pick up artistry, as well as quick or high pressure sales situations, but it becomes the organic product of thousands of repetitions of applying these principles long before you have to do so in his particular job. Social acuity and intelligence can be learned, it doesn't have to be natural like some people have. While people may be different from us, our emotions in motivations are pretty much the same. It's no cheat code, it's applicable steps.

She isn't wrong. She is expressing prudence. You may well heed to consider a variety of backups that appeal to you. It is practical.
Your mother, ultimately, loves you and is concerned for your better interests and future prospects.
      Having said that...
You can ask her civil questions on her likely valid concerns for your aspirations. Experience your feeling, pass through them and re-engage with her. Remaining civil, respectful and open is key.
Then go write about it, go for a walk or bike ride to think over things, etc.
Perhaps she is unconsciously expressing how she is the one who needs you to lead her to her own sense of conviction, that you are absolutely committed to pursuing your interest. Bif you want to be a flight officer, you need to be collected, orderly, rational under pressure, systematic and, ultimately, a responsible leader.
If you can get her there, you will have her full support and respect... which is ultimately what you need emotionally, to propell yourself forward with even more conviction.
Not only do you want to serve your country, but also protect your Mum. Right?

    Dude
Sorry to burst yr bubble but yr still an introvert
    I 2 am an introvert
But am an awesome public speaker
    Presenter and teacher
    When I have a role
    I rise to it
Never ever get me into the staff lounge at lunch tho
Team meetings are just obstacles to be navigated
    Staff Christmas party torture
But I can role model and lead students easily
But I need to have huge time alone to balance it
Humans exhaust me but making a difference makes it worth it
I'm a introvert but have to cope
Doesn't mean my orientation or default changes

He’s positioning himself so high level business executives trust him and bring him in as a confidant.
Watch other interviews and content from “former” CIA officers, if you pay attention and watch long enough, you can track their patterns of how they gain trust and extract information. It’s subtle, you’ll find people offering tons of personal information in the comments alone! Can’t imagine what kind of information is obtained as he gets hired as a “consultant” to business leaders.
