Legend, got so many laughs from this video over the years, I remember sitting in vent on the original forums with a friend almost dying from laughter the first time watching this. Still come back to this video every now and then, thanks for the laughs.
He's actually more than 30 years old by now. I remember when this ACTUALLY originally came out... and I was definitely younger than this kid at that time. Since I also remember specifically hearing this and wondering why people thought it was somehow hilarious that a kid "as young as him" could say those things. When I was like "uhh... I'm younger than that kid and I say WAY worse shit so wtf?"
@@OriginalTKO yeah. Was replying to the comment that "he's more than 30" not the approaching 30. Don't worry as a 94 baby myself I am well aware I'm approaching it too lol
Let me tell you youngin's a little something about 12-year-olds in raids. Back in Vanilla the guild I was in was co-lead by a husband and wife. They were good people, and not really into the whole big raiding scene, but just gathered around them a bunch of solid, reliable players to go do some of the easier content. I was one of their off-tanks (an Undead Warrior at the time). One of our most frequent fixtures in the Vent server at the time was a Tauren Hunter named "Tsaot" (Toast spelled backwards). Since it was much easier to pronounce (and because the heady lady of the guild thought it was adorable) we all just called him "Toast". I didn't know too much about him personally, but a lot of people really liked him. He was very polite, real quiet, and we often had to be told to mind the topics of our conversation because we would forget he was there. One day we were getting together to go do Upper Blackrock Spire (a 10-man dungeon at the time), and our hunter lead had flaked out on us again. We needed someone to kite General Drakkisath (the final dungeon boss at the time), and the only person available was Toast. Quite a few of the players were rolling their eyes in raid chat when the husband asked him if he wasn't too busy to come along. He happily agreed and we pushed through the instance. We reached the general's room, and it finally occurred to the main tank to ask Toast if he had ever been here before. He said no, and you could hear the frustration in the chat. The guild leader shushed everyone up, and calmly explained to Toast what he had to do: Pull the general, allow Gargos (me) to pick up the left guard, and our main tank would grab the right. Then he had to kite the general as far away as he could without dying. The raid would get the guards down as far as they could before General Drak could kill him and then come back for us. Toast very politely said, "Ok." without asking a single question, and we got started. Toast pulls and takes off running, myself and the MT grab the guards while Toast and the general disappear. After a bit of DPS, both of the guards are dead, and the whole group is standing around in awkward silence. There's no sign of the general, and we haven't heard a peep out of Toast since we began. So the guild leader goes over the Ventrilo channel. GL: "Hey, Toast?" Tsaot: "Hm?" GL: "Are you... still alive?" Tsaot: "Yep." Raid: O_O GL: "Where are you? Tsaot: "Running in a circle in The Beast room." Main Tank: "He made it that far? What the hell??" GL: "Ok... well, you can come back now." Tsaot: "Ok."Then he promptly Feigns Death, and follows the general back to the group and assists us in killing it. Now to give some context people who aren't vanilla veterans, successfully kiting the general is not an easy thing to do. Our Hunter class lead couldn't do it very well. And it was incredibly difficult to it without dying. This kid, on his first ever visit to UBRS, successfully kited the general almost a quarter of the way across the instance, ran circles around him for several minutes, and then made it back without dying. I'd been in several PUGs with more than a couple "professional" raiders at the time that couldn't do that. The head guild lady flat out told our hunter lead that she would have replaced him with Tsaot if he wasn't 12 years old.
I believe this. I was much better at video games when I was a kid, fast reaction times and stuff. As I got older, my understanding of strategy got deeper, but I just couldn't pull off the same sick moves that came naturally to me as a kid. Then again, it might be the weed.
Gven that Hobss was 11 when it was recorded, and they did the math he was born around '93 or '94, it places the recording around 2004-2005. So yeah, this is easily pre-2010, and I remember the original video.
I've been watching this video ever since it was a picture of Calvin and Hobbes. Always good for a laugh, glad to see it is back to being a full hour long video instead of 5 ten minute videos
i was 13 Raiding in BC and never talked until i was main tank and on Lurker, only because i had earned the respect of my guild. they weren't so bad to me and im happy i started to talk i made them laugh a lot and they helped me mature and talk to people outside of wow i miss those days. LOL. The awesome thing is that the legitimate funny fuckin part of this video is definitely NOT anything the youngest kid on this server says. When the fact is I was younger than this kid when I first heard this video, and I remember being like "why are those guys acting so unrealistically when they ALREADY know how he talks?" Since I talked way worse than that kid at a younger age than that kid, yet people only tended to laugh maybe when they first found out I was capable of saying "crazy" shit like that. So I'm just listening to this like "is this entire video faked? nothing about this makes sense? how can you find the same joke over and over against constantly as something that's funny?"
I remember i used to listen to this all the time while questing back in nilla - bc. love coming back to this just to hear what guilds used to be like back in the day love y'all

I was the 10 year old kid that older guys invited along to raids and I wish so bad I could find them again and thank them. Lmao, this shit was gold back in the day. I would like to see this kid on some kind of youtube edition of "WoW stars, Where they are now" hahah, and just see what he'd think about it now.
When Destroye mentioned the movie, "Twins" he was actually thinking about the movie, "Junior" Both movies starred Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito. "Twins" was about two twin brothers re-uniting, and "Junior" was about a man conceiving a baby.
Oh God, I remember playing on Maelstrom back in the day, and occasionally filling out guild runs for Dark Chaos....the days that someone would give Hobss the vent info were priceless.
Damn, I used to listen to this so much back in 2008ish I still know every single word. Used to listen to this on repeat while I played WoW Still the funniest part to me is the guy going “so it’s like snowing here in Dallas, and I’m really snowed in. Thinking about making some pina coladas or something”
15:55 - "If anyone is FRAPS'ing this, we could be famous on the inter-web." "Or arrested!" (Hopefully the latter never came about. The former certainly did!) There is something seriously wrong with this kid. I swear if I ever heard my 12 year old son talking like this, he'd be tasting soap for a year. If the guild wants to have a little fun at his expense... whatever. If anyone is gonna call the authorities, it should be CPS. All the same, thanks for sharing the hilarity with the rest of us!
This video is amazing. It still makes me laugh. Back in the day, finding a kid like this was a rarity indeed. Now, it seems like every 11-year-old these days talks and acts like this.
It's weird how easy it was to take shit like this for granted as a kid. Since this was so ABSOLUTELY fuckin common to hear on ANY vent server with an active WoW channel this wouldn't have been anything I would have even kept recording after more than a couple minutes (especially since I was at least as young as this kid and I personally knew at least three other people that were that same age yet MORE entertaining than this kid). Yet now that I've gotten old as fuck? I'm kinda surprised I didn't realize just HOW rare this type of thing would become. Since 999,999/1,000,000 the content (particularly obvious through background/random vent shit) would be faked. So it's already insanely rare based on the fact that you'd have to jump through significantly more mental hoops to believe that this was faked rather than that this actually happened. Not only that, but even though it was super common to me personally, when I look back it was DEFINITELY rare to find kids our age willing and able to talk like adults minus the actual sound of the voice. So to hear legit guild activity from peak-WoW time is already super rare, plus to hear a video both claiming and actually HAVING an 11 or 12 year old in it is crazy rare. To have BOTH these together plus talking about boning a chick with a paper bag over her head? I feel like I'm more likely to see a live supernova.
i learned alot from this , that certain vibe on ventrillo determined the continuation of the energetic flow of the collective perticipation of the current event in progress . the raid started at an average energy flow of 7 and steadly dropped to an energy output of 3 as they near the end of this fraps tape. man people in the mental study gonna have a field day with this one . and i realy love this vanilla blackwing lair raid , brings back memories of times past
There's a difference between trolling and guildies having a good time. Yes the kid may be eleven, but they weren't trying to make him cry. They were joking with him and he was joking back. Now, people who wish for others deaths because they misunderstand what's happening, now those people need to adhere to the saying "If you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all."
Hobss is now a 30 year old man somewhere lol and those guys are in their 40-50s... how time flies

We were lucky to be able to experience this.
Wow, I totally forgot this existed, it's been like 7 years since I've last seen this. Somehow I remember most of the things said.
Where is Hobss today ?? :D
I love this! I listen to this every other month, never gets old! THANK YOU FOR PUTTING THIS ON UA-cam!
These guys would be so fun to raid with wow haha XD they're so funny
hey baby
i learned alot from this , that certain vibe on ventrillo determined the continuation of the energetic flow of the collective perticipation of the current event in progress .
the raid started at an average energy flow of 7 and steadly dropped to an energy output of 3 as they near the end of this fraps tape.
man people in the mental study gonna have a field day with this one .
and i realy love this vanilla blackwing lair raid , brings back memories of times past
"do you wear short skirts". "no she wears sweat pants"
Quick note to the people debating his age - he says at roughly 30:55 in the video he was born in 1994.
There's a difference between trolling and guildies having a good time. Yes the kid may be eleven, but they weren't trying to make him cry. They were joking with him and he was joking back.
Now, people who wish for others deaths because they misunderstand what's happening, now those people need to adhere to the saying "If you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all."
this is such a classic video omg i listen to this 24/7
Me too! 🎉
I wonder where Hobss is now...
This is still legend
