I made this in survival because it looked super simple compared to the other ones! My 6 year old think it's magic because now he can make iron thrones with all the iron blocks we have, thank you!

Guys here's the fix, you need to make sure that the golem does not spawn elsewhere

I have tips if your iron golm farm doesn't work,
First, check near your iron golm farm for any cave or not. If there is, close the cave so the iron golm doesn't spawn there
second, before you put the zombies in the middle let them sleep for one day.

Did they patch this? I followed the video (love the tutorial, btw) and it was working at first but after only a few golems they stopped spawning. Even the next night - nothing. Now multiple nights have passed and no dice. I made sure my zombie was named and he's still there, villagers are still alive --- anyone else experience this?
*Update* they are spawning now, but just not as frequently as shown here. I get maybe 1-2 per night. But still a cool farm and great tutorial video!!
your either not close enough for them to spawn or you didn't spawn proof caves and they're spawning inside those caves
Me too, it worked very well for a bit, then stopped working. I'm going to check around for caves.
@@jokraemer3516 I found that it still worked just not as efficiently. I ended up downloading an app that moved my mouse slightly and I could program it to click around so I set my character up looking at a chest and made my mouse move in a circle and right click every 20 seconds or so and the next morning I had a ton of Iron. Make sure you're in the area where you collect the iron.
This app was called "Move Mouse". I know, clever 😂

Gonna try this on my mushroom island. Don't need to fill anything And should work well I think.
A tip to reduce golems getting stuck in walls anyway: add glass to the edges of the golem spawn floor.
Im happy I found this guy his tutorials are easy and very short.

I found that I had a zombie and a witch spawn into the villager chamber. I added Jack 'O Lanterns to keep anything from spawning in and killing the villagers. So far seems to be working.

Yeah but he did say at least 10 blocks so if you want to hide it then just go like 30 blocks below the ground or smthg
I think its more about hiding it visually, because when you want to have a clean and nice natural area, a big floating island with a iron farm on it could eventually bother you. So that would be a nice solution for it.

Just made this and made about a stack of iron then stopped working. I'm playing on Java on a minehut server and build the farm much deeper. Can anyone recommend a hotfix. Thanks in advance
I just had the same issue. It produced 42 ingots and then stopped working. It's an amazing design, far easier than the last "3 villagers, 1 zombie" farm I made in the air before. I just can't figure out why golems stopped spawning in.
@@igimp1973 yup I think I may have even had the same number of ingots. I just made a normal iron farm using a Schulkercraft tutorial and it works great and was not as hard as I thought - took less than an hour.
@@_lucamnm I seem to have solved the problem by putting a single slap above the zombie and a single full block in front of him, then removing all other blocking slabs and blocks. Even though the villagers are free to run around the entire enclosure, they can't get close enough to the zombie to be hurt because of the slab on the ceiling over him. The single block in front of him blocks him from the middle bed so one villager can sleep while the others run around and freak out. This seems to keep the golems flowing.
@@_lucamnm check if theres any cave of pillar or any other place where golem had spawned so now villager wont spawn another one kill the golem who spawned out of farm and your farm will work again
This is such a great little farm, I hate the way all these mob farms look like giant towering things that totally ruin the way your base looks.

In the village where you got the villagers was there an iron goldem there because if there was you might need to kill it and then your villagers will build the iron goldem that’s what I’m thinking

I have a question. Will the iron golems be constantly spawning because on my current iron farm sometimes they just don’t spawn so i have to let the villagers sleep every time which is annoying. Thank you
Yeah I was also thinking of that. In my farm I set up a daylight sensor + sticky piston system to ensure the villagers sleep at night. I think this design needs one as well

I had the same problem what I did was remove the middle bed and they immediately started to spawn. I then replaced the stone next to the beds with glass just for a safe measure hope this helps :)
If you’re on bedrock, you need 10 villagers for a golem to spawn.

Awesome video tutoring as usual. You are a must subscribe channel for any survival player. If you guys are having trouble not getting golems to spawn, make sure there are no open cave areas around where this farm is or else the golems can end up spawning in those locations instead of inside the farm room. Fill in all the surrounding openings and the golem should have no choice but to spawn in the room now.
If you understand the mechanics of iron golem farms, you can make one yourself.
Villager Spawning and Iron Golem Formation:
Villagers play a crucial role in iron golem spawning.
When a villager gets frightened (usually by zombies or pillagers), it attempts to spawn an iron golem.
The iron golem farm is typically a player-constructed village where golems are spawned and then either immediately killed or moved to a holding cell outside the village boundary for later disposal.
To maximize rates, consider factors like zombie/pillager presence, Nether portals, and mob cap management.
Zombie and Pillager Influence:
Zombies and pillagers nearby increase the spawn rate of iron golems.
If a zombie or pillager is seen by villagers, they panic and increase the rate of spawn attempts.
Nether portals can also be used to increase rates, as the iron golem cap instantly resets when golems are teleported to the Nether.
Constructing a chute where golems fall after spawning can also clear the mob cap more reliably.
Simulation Distance:
Iron golems can spawn as long as the player is within simulation range of the village’s boundaries.
Being near the village center is not necessary; iron golems can spawn as long as the player is within the village’s simulation distance.
When villagers are panicked in Minecraft, they attempt to spawn an iron golem to protect themselves. The spawning location of the iron golem depends on the specific situation:
Iron golems spawn next to the frightened villager.
If a zombie or pillager is threatening a villager, the golem will appear beside that villager to defend them.
The golem will NOT spawn directly on top of the villager or *behind the intruder*. (If there is no space next to the villagers it will spawn on top of them IF there is blocks on top of the villagers)
To maximize iron golem spawn rates in Minecraft, follow these strategies:
Spawnable Blocks:
Ensure there are at least 3 transparent blocks above the spawning surface.
The surface must be solid and flat, but not a bottom slab.
Zombies and Pillagers:
Zombies and pillagers increase the spawn rate of iron golems.
When villagers see a zombie or pillager, they panic and spawn more golems.
Zombies are easier to use for scaring villagers, while pillagers have a larger range.
Nether portals can also increase rates by resetting the golem cap when golems are teleported to the Nether.
Constructing a chute where golems fall after spawning can clear the mob cap more reliably.
And when making an iron farm witth multiple villagers like 12 villagers, you must make them away from eachother or else it will decrease the spawn rates of it.

Bro the best iron farm, i am playing on a amplified world and i didn't have enough space to make a iron so this helped
If you use water (and blue ice, but any ice is better than none) with signs, you can push the golems past the 20 blocks from the end of the chest that you need to start spawning a new one. That way you can have one golem cooking while another is spawning and floating down to you

I've only just started switched to minecraft java edition from bedrock. This was the first farm I built. I'm really impressed with it! I'm sitting here afking and watching a good lot of golem burning to death. But I had to make a small tweak... I changed the first Blackstone block he placed to a slab. Works like a wonder! ♥️

@@kartikjain3590 I think the problem was your golem spawn on your island/there's a cave under your camber. I have the same issue at first, what I did was I put a glass 5x5 on top of the zombie on top of the land. so the golem does not spawn again on my island. hope this will fix your problem, cheers. sorry for bad English tho :))

I'm pretty sure villagers need to have slept in a bed and work on a workstation very recently to spawn iron golems. Since the villagers can't sleep and dont even have a workstation they shouldnt be able to spawn a golem
