Great tutorial. Thanks for sharing. One Question: Do you get any air pockets in the lips area since the gate is lower than the top of the head in that area?
I didn't on these... the only one I had issues with was the Hellgrammite. The first mold I tried had the mandibles pointed up and those did get trapped air pockets so I flipped the design over, poured from the rear of the hook and it worked a lot better.
Ok.gracias por contestar.solo quería comprarte un molde de cabezas plomada,me a gustado mucho la forma y pensaba que vendías los molde..mucha suerte y gran trabajo
I have not done a full video on that because most of it is done in the Sculpt environment of Fusion 360 and it would probably be pretty boring to watch. I actually don't know to much of most of the functions but maybe I'll do a very short video just explaining some of the basics of what works for me as your not the first to ask about it.
With the current molds you sell, for example the ned rig head, can we edit it once you send the file over to add stuff or take away? Make the hook slot bigger for a larger hook?
The files are just STL files... but it is possible to edit "some" STL files in programs like Tinckercad. I have been meaning to update some of the older stuff I've done to be like the molds for the One Ounce Swimbait Jigheads where you should be able to use a variety of different sized hooks. I just haven't found the time and yours is the first request to do so. Are you familiar with CAD already? The NED rig mold is pretty easy to design.
@@TheNeverendingProjectsList a family member was going to create the ned for me and after watching your video it does look super simple so I believe I could have him do it. He just has limited time so I’m trying to find a file where we can edit and make our own!
@@TheNeverendingProjectsList You must be some kind of genius to figure out how to use that computer design program for the 3D printer so efficiently. Trial & Error would require the patience of a Surgeon. I'm very impressed.
Unfortunately I just moved so I don't have my shop back up yet It will probably be a few months until I get back up and running so I can make or test any thing at the moment...
Hi steve greetings from the UK found your channel by accident,as someone who isn't very computer savy i think what you do is amazing 3d printing is awesome i wouldn't have a clue where to start but i am very interested in lure making in all forms. Is their anyway of buying a set of your mold boxes for you jig heads. I would of course pay postage and costs. Look forward to your reply
Any chance of making a video of how you created the head.
Great tutorial. Thanks for sharing.

I found your channel through Elliott. Both you guys are doing some awesome stuff!
Awesome... Thanks, I love his stuff and I think we learn a lot of good techniques from each other.

Have you done a video on how you made that particular head? I’m having trouble wrapping my head around how do such irregular shapes.

That is what I figured. I need some more time working in the sculpt environment. Thanks.
How can i get a hellgy head
I would expect to teach me how to design the fish head body too... This issue would complete your great tutorial.

Wow your fusion skills are so epic. 🤩🤩
When your are in the design stage is there any way to approximate what the jigs will weigh once poured in lead?
Yes... I did cover how to figure this out but I believe it was in PART 2 as I figured it out myself after the fact.
can you do a slow pitch jig next and what kind of 3d printer is that? thanks!
I’m not sure what that’s is but the printers I use are Makergear M2’s
Where the heck do you learn all this stuff?
You can learn anything on the internet these days... but honestly just a lot of hands on and trial and error.

Nice looking heads
Thanks...
So you can make patent drawings as it should be? How much do you charge?
Sorry I don;t have the time to do custom work at the moment.
Hello man , am a big fan of your work, am looking for a stick bait mold from your work, can we work together on at any cost ?
Unfortunately I just moved so I don't have my shop back up yet It will probably be a few months until I get back up and running so I can make or test any thing at the moment...
This is awesome. Do you take any requests? I am looking to have something made
Thanks... unfortunately I just don't have the spare time to do any custom work right now sorry.
Hola,yo estoy interesado en comprarte un molde ya echo.no sé si me entiendes con el español..
No hago trabajos personalizados para otros si eso es lo que estás pidiendo.
Thank you again Steve :-)
Ted (Australia)
No worries!
Do you sale or make custom molds? Or would you consider?
Sorry I do not sell the molds (only the files) and I just don't have the time to take on custom work right now..

24:45 those are your holes not your pins ^_^
They will be the pins once the silicone mold is poured. :P
