1 thing that might help your cage cleaning routine (it REALLY helped me a lot) is to get a swivel sweeper max.
I empty off my liners then “vacuum” them off.
I also use horse blanket laundry bags to save my washer from fur, etc.

Look for "Zero Market" type places nearby you! They sell all sorts of liquids, soaps and cleaners, herbs and spices from large containers, and you bring your own jars and containers to refill from their containers.
You can add a filter to your washing machine to reduce the microplastics that end up in the ocean. Fleece is terrible for making microplastics!
Do you happen to know what the name is? I have one of those floating filters but.. .it's not awesome. Geez I didn't know fleece had microplastics. Eesh

just so u know, u don't have to use nearly that much detergent. u only have to use a little bit and it's just as effective, the box tells u to use more for the obvious reasons lol
is it just the camera settings making the hay look like straw? my hay is green.
Farm hay and manufacturing hay look different. Farm hay gets lighten by the sun whereas manufactured hay doesn’t see the sun so it stays more green. The nutritional value is the same. 🌟✨
Do u have to add the baking powder or vinegar to it or yes. And I and a one more question can I use tide pack things that have the power stuff and liquid, and also use the baking soda with it or vinegar

I don't know why I hadn't thought of getting my detergent in powder to save on plastic- thank you! I also try to be as low waste as possible, but the only zero waste options I could find had to be shipped to me.

You should get a dust buster! Make your life easier
It continues to blow my mind how you pick up their poopies so effortlessly 😂😂😂😂 I use latex gloves and I would never clean without them since their poops are always slightly squishy and wet. I'll gladly use my bare hands to clean dust though 😂😂😂😂
Everyone’s gotta do the way they feel comfortable! The poop doesn’t bother me and it’s another way I cut down on waste by not using gloves. To each their own!🥰✌🏼
I thought Austin's (from The Pig Room) 2 level cage would help you have more floor space. Then maybe you could get your closet space back to eliminate using the hallway. Just an idea. l like your pig room and piggies 🐾❤

Sarah try True Earth laundry detergent because the packaging is so minimal. They come in little strips that you just throw in to the wash.

Please help me. I love your videos how the guinea babies have their own room it’s so cute I wish I wasn’t in an apt in NYC but then again I can never leave the homeless cats in the area. Pls help me. I took 2 guinea pigs a friend said he found in a box on the sidewalk where he lives. He knows I rescue so he called me and I was not giving them away I decided to keep them. I love them. I never thought I have piggies. Their nails are long n curved and I have cut the tip but they won’t let me do all of the nails they act like it’s painful. I’m afraid. I know how to cut i cut my cats nails 3 of them and never hurt them. I know where to stop. But piggies are diff …pls someone help me what do I do

What about doing bunk beds with your cages? That way the cages can be longer and have more room for the piggies, plus more floor space for you?

When you were talking about changing the layout of the room for the pigs could you not do something like what Austin has done in The Pig Room with them stacked along the walls xx
You could maybe do the room into 4 and a half cage. (The half is the layered cage)
And the whole room is only cages. Then you could maybe do some bare places in the cages where you walk. Get some shelves on the wall to put the fresh fleece and other stuff.
(I often just walk into my piggies cages to get to the other😅)
