I can't belive I just watched a 50 minute long video of ginea pig cage cleaning at 1 AM, but it's been actually really fun. It's nice to see someone so dedicated to taking care of their animals

Would my Guinea pig he lonely if I only have one guinea pig because my mum said I can’t get another one when I I asked her and said that he was lonely she said Guinea pigs don’t get lonely.
Guinea pigs are herd animals and are very social creatures and do better in pairs. But if your mom is against it then I wouldn’t suggest pushing it further bc the bonding process is not easy and it’s not a guarantee the 2 pigs will get along. In order to get a second pig your parents would have to be supportive and support the process or trying to find a suitable companion.

Idk if I right but I feel like your Guinea pigs poops are abit un-usual I may be wrong , but my piggies poops are all the same looking , while your Guinea pigs poop are kinda crumpled and broken , I may be wrong . Just looking out since one of my piggies died cuz of the un usual poop shape .
I've been using the natures miracle small animal cage cleaner in my litterbox only because water and vinegar doesn't get rid off the pee smell totally. it's marketed for small animals so I hope it's safe 😬😬 I do then put doggy pee pads and aspen in the litterbox as well so they never touch the actual box where the cleaner is used.

Try dumping what hay you want to use into a big garbage bag...clean one of course. Shake it hard outside holding the bag closed then open to let dust out. Feed them & see how much dust is in the bag bottom or out side.
I love your pig room! I wouldn’t use only vinegar and water since that wouldn’t be enough to cut germs. Although it is great for removing smells. I would use a solution with hypochlorous acid solution spray, they are often at 200-300ppm. I have this for my pets even as a eye rinse! It is great and totally non toxic, killing all bacteria/fungus/viruses.

It’s called corrugated plastic and you can get it at lowes. It comes in sheets. 🐹✌🏼

I've tried that laying a piece of just fleece on top of the mats. Either my fleece I had isn't fleece but looks like fleece, or it just didn't get wicked properly but it made an even bigger mess than anything. so I gave up with that.

I personally have always chosen to rescue animals bc of what I can do for them, not what they can do for me. Which is why it’s called rescuing. Guinea pigs are one of the most highly discarded pets, so I enjoy giving them the life that they actually deserve. 🐹✌🏼

Josh, I love the noises you add to the video. The plink of the laundry almost had me waiting for the jackpot sound. I have arthritis in my spine. I use a CBD roll on and it helps with the pain. I help take care of my mother snd have to lift her rolling walker in and out of the car.

Ya know... this just really convinced me i need to big buckets like that.... seems so much easier than what I am doing... I have had pigs for a year and a half and I still just haven't found my best way to take care of them. Most efficient. I have done so many different things. But the dump buckets seem so easy... I struggle because I have to take all the bedding outside and sweep it off because my boys drag hay over their ENTIRE cage. They are so sloppy. My girls are much tidier, but they spray pee everywhere.
I find that large liners (like Guinea Dad liners) seem like a good idea until it comes to cleaning; one heavy-use spot and the whole thing needs to be swapped out. I prefer multiple 60x40cm (24x16in) chenille/memory foam bath mats that can be switched out as needed. They're comfy, absorbant, waterproof, easier to wash and can often be bought for under $2-$3. You can buy more than 10 bath mats for the same price as one (120x61cm) Guinea Dad liner - that's about a quarter of the cost for the same area coverage.

Are c and c cages the same as kavee cages ?
They are similar to the grids kavee uses. I used to have a kavee cage but it just wasn’t suitable for what I needed nor provided enough space.

But I would like to raise them because it’s not easy for me and my back (they are on the 2 grid level and I would like them on the third) but I am scared that it will be shaky

Way longer than it takes me to clean my habitats which is about an hour to clean (2) 2x3 habitats.

i love love love these set ups but…. i just don’t understand the joy of having guinea pigs when they’re constantly running away and are so skittish. like putting in so much effort and care for these pets when they’re on the brink of a nervous break down seems pointless to me. i just always like to have a really strong bond with my pets like my ferrets, dogs, hedgehog and mice, they’re all very friendly and sociable i couldn’t even comprehend how to interact with these animals lol
Guinea pigs can be like that too! It just really depends on the Guinea pig and how much effort you put in to tame them. From what I’ve seen, this channel doesn’t really focus on the taming of their pigs. I’ve always thought that maybe it’s because they have so many and it makes that more difficult.

I don’t know about indoors, I know some European people have outdoor set ups. It would freak me out too much to have them outdoors though.

Hey Sarah! I have a question. I got two piggies about a year and a half ago. I’m not sure of the ages when I got them but one was a mom and one was a daughter. ( that’s why I names them momma and Mia 😊) anyways momma died a few days ago and I was wondering how do I make my other Guinea pig thrive and live an amazing life without her mom?? Thanks!
Hi! Pigs can easily be socialised with new pigs, I'd recomment getting the daughter a new companion as soon as possible. Guinea Pigs really need at least one partner. Good luck and all the best to you.
