    Start from the beginning?
    Probably the hardest place to start!
    Sooo much to choose from.
    I for one, know you can always learn something, by re-capping!
    I may well ask for more info where necessary. Cheers. 👍👍

      I run out of ideas at times .. I like to do "big ticket" videos - things that will make most people go "ohhh .. I didn't know that" .. but .. you soon run out of them and are left kicking your heels wondering what to do next ... yes, little videos about the UI .. or how to point eyes at a camera are great .. but they aren't "big ticket" ... So I figured .. stuff it! .. Slap a "Beginners" label on it and I can do a lot of the smaller stuff .. Hopefully, I'll be able to start knocking these out every few days .. I've got 3 backed up ready to go already ..

    Happy to see you back. I know for a fact I am lacking some fundamental knowledge, mostly because there wasn't enough guidance readily available to even learn what guidance there WAS available. Good luck with the series. I'll be watching.

      Thanks! I know I've learnt a couple of extra things a I'm trying to cover everything - mostly from those areas where " ... I don't think I'll ever need that .. " .. I figuring it out that maybe it's useful after all .. 😀 .. I'll still be dropping my "normal" videos as when the ideas come to me .. but for now - at least this will keep me busy!

    Appreciate the introduction! It can be overwhelming to begin with DAZ.

      Yep! And we all have to start somewhere - there should be some little tidbits of information for even Daz Old-Timers to pick up .. I know there's a few things I never realised by doing these early beginner videos ..

    I am very glad that I was able to find your channel at the moment when I decided to study DAZ. Most of the tutorials on this program seem to me to be insufficiently informative, old or delitian. Thanks for your work!

      For most people it will .. as will the next few .. but for completeness sakes I have to start at the beginning and work my way up! There's a few things in these early ones though that I picked up myself by being thorough. Stuff I hadn't bothered with in the past I suddenly saw a use for!

    Diving back into D3D after several years... so, perfect timing. I really hope they work on their user experience with version 5.0. This application always feels like a never ending learning curve.

      I'm hoping to know these early beginner videos out quite quickly so should get you back into the swing of things. And you're true about the user experience .. we can only hope 5.0 improves things (if it ever comes!)

      @@RaukoDaz3D Awesome news. Yeah, it's so odd. I've use and have used countless applications over the years. I was quite proficient with Poser and then with D3D when it came out… used it for years. Stepped away from it for many years and dove back in 2-3 years ago. Got ‘ok’ with it for about 6-8 months (thanks to a number of your videos I might add), but had to let it rest again for about a year. I opened it back up a few weeks ago to work on a simple project or two and I feel like I have no idea where to start. This is the only application that constantly seems to stump me. Keep up the good work an I look forward to this series.

      I actually find one of the absolute worst parts of D3D is finding content. I feel this could be easily solved by having a 'universal' search.

      @Azzray I'm the same if I don't load Daz up for a week or so .. mind, I put my issue down to age .. 😀... Hopefully, I'll get quite a few of these out quickly .. I have another 3 ready to go already .. They might be a bit low level for most but, for completeness sakes, I have to get them done. But still - I'm picking the odd new stuff up in doing them as I'm trying to cover every little option and so starting to play with things I wouldn't normally use.I

    Hello, I know this video is a bit old but is daz UI stuck in 1080p? Because I just got a 4k monitor and the mouse,pointer becames way too small in viewport 😢 idk can't find a solution do you also work in 4k monitor?

    • @RaukoDaz3D
      @RaukoDaz3D  6 місяців тому

      Yes, I work in 4k but mostly this is an issue with Windows as far as I know (if you're on PC - maybe the case with Mac too).
      Most Windows software will use Windows APIs for the Interface as it's much easier to do this than re-invent the wheel and write your own. So Daz - and many other software - suffers the same problems. I see it in Photoshop, Microsoft 365 etc. Everything will use the Windows default settings.
      So if your resolution on Windows is 4k (as is mine) - everything in Windows will be small as will the software - like Daz - that uses it.
      One solution (which I use) is right click on your desktop .. go with Display Settings .. You'll see "Display Resolution" which should be set at 3840x2160 (which is 4k) .. but above it is a Scale setting ..l use 150% .. so it will multiply everything in size by 150%
      The Upsides is it will increase all of Windows and the Apps that use it (Daz) - by 150% .. but if you prefer everything else in the tiny 4k size - you'll lose that.
      There is a method which allows you to set the User Interface scale individually by Application .. I did it myself 5 years back when I got my first 4k GPU / Display .. but I can't for the life of me remember how to do it. I'll have a think on and see if I can work out how to do it again!

    • @RaukoDaz3D
      @RaukoDaz3D  6 місяців тому

      Oh .. Another solution .. Get as big as a display as possible .. :) .. I use a 55" 120hz 4k TV as my display .. and when I've just put Windows to 100% Scale to check it out .. it wasn't that bad for me .. even useable. But .. I'm used to my 150% scale now and so probably won't change.😀
