Joe Delaney is such an underrated UA-camr man. I wish more people talked about this guy. Phenomenal content, super raw dude, down to earth guy, super educational, etc. keep being you Joe. I’m a fan and have been for a long time boss. Hope you’re doing well bruv.
The simplicity and how you articulate things makes you one of the best fitness channels on UA-cam full stop. Especially for the average Joe like myself finding their feet in the gym and lifestyle. Videos really freaking and easy to take a way key points of info. 👍🏻
Joe over the years you’ve single-handedly built up my entire training and nutritional philosophy. You show that getting in great shape for life can actually be enjoyable, and not confined to a life in the gym on a perpetual diet of egg whites and chicken. This vid was a great summation of this.
For me 10/10 for presentation. This is the first fitness / health video I have watched till the end and understand how to improve - no shouting / no overload of info /no detailed explanation of muscle groups.. Thanks
man, can't say enough about how much I appreciate your content. even keel, reasonable with balanced, relaxed advice. so glad I landed at your channel as I get closer to recovering and starting over from bike injury a few years ago and a decade of breakdancing. imbalanced / inconsistent / improper "training" and the slippery slope of "ah I just gotta keep what I got" as you said. 'ppreciate that it never feels like you're leaving out the most important parts! stay safe out there!
I've been losely following a similar structure, I'm by no means anywhere near as fit as you but I've been working hard to get to a point I can be happy with and maintain. The first thing I noticed that had the biggest impact was sleep & routine. Truly deserves a 1# spot.
honestly just watching/listening a fitness video a day hypes my motivation up, not everyone will have time for it but even just watching a chill video talking about consistency will make you more consistent without any specific numbers in mind. its just so important to have the right mindset as that's really what motivation comes down to
Truly a realistic thought process on training and fitness. Just knowing your body, moderation, consistency, and just keeping shit simple is the way to go. Great video and great info 👍
just discovered your channel the other day mate, been getting big into fitness and wanting to get HUGE and finally stopping a lot of my bad habits, and the past few days of binging your content has just motivated me more than i can explain so really appreciate what you do bruv
@@TheMcjamieG It's never too late man, it can definitely be done. Get started and stick to the plan, listen to your body and you'll get where you want to be . Also, look into Mark Lewis as well, you may enjoy his journey as he's also around your age and had a similar journey
Man, this is some of the best food/diet advice I’ve seen. You summarize it really well. It’s all a balance - you can splurge and enjoy the nice things in life, but be honest with yourself and show just as much discipline when it’s time to do so.
Thank you for your very down to earth video. I turned sixty this year and I have been working out all my life, always listening to my inner voice as far as food, as far workout and its intensity are concerned. I can support everything you say. Thank you so much from Germany 🇩🇪. PS: Stretching becomes even more important the older you get. That contributes to a stable mental condition and to better sleep as well as it relaxes the body. For me, meditating in the morning and in the evening added a lot to my quality of life. And the combination of a classical workout with thirty minutes of yoga afterwards does wonders.
Thank you Joe, i really can relate to every point! Tracking calories sucks, so I stick to what I know works for my body/regularly prep, i 'prepay' and do harder/longer workouts if I know I'm going to have a big night/event and I definitely do more NEAT if I know I had a heavier meal that day.
Another banger mate! Awesome video. I also thrive on a routine. Sometimes my "cheat night" screws up my gym performance the next day. Like a sugary hangover. Makes eating better well worth it. A spare 6 months 😂🤣
First time checking out your videos and I find it really refreshing. No offence to US you tubers but it's great to watch someone from our end of the pond. You keep it real, grounded and with that it's inspiring without being overwhelming.
Ok, one of the most realistic, complete explanations of how to get and stay in great shape. The perfect mix of strict and going with the flow that took me years to sort of figure out, but is explained really well. Great vid man. Subbed.
Coming through with the facts. Most fitness UA-camrs tell you to just push through the bad times. Sometimes you need to take that break to get that motivation back👏🏻
I've been training for 10+ years, in that time I've fluctuated in shape and motivation but prided myself on the consistency, something so many people struggle with. This video is the best I've seen to getting that if your struggling. Especially acknowledging the eb and flow of motivation. Nice one Joe, good vid 👍
Going with the flow is definitely a great tip, I found where I’m not that motivated to stick with a plan I just go in and do a ‘bare minimum’ of one exercise per muscle group - maybe throw in some new exercises to mix things up and usually that keeps in interested and usually leaves me wanting to get back into the swing of a programme. No use of forcing yourself to do a full on workout if you’re not feeling it - it’s not gonna be an optimal workout regardless when you feel that way
Just subbed to you because of this video. Amongst all of the ego centric Fitness you tubers so nice to hear from someone with a down to earth mentality.
Not been here in a minute, since I developed chronic fatigue syndrome and had to give up training. But almost 600k subs holy shit balls, lad. Well deserved! Was always my favourite channel when I was smashing out those gains.
This is so true everthing you said. I'm in much better shape than most people yet if one day I feel like I don't have the energy to train I'll just do one set of each exercise and call it a day. Keep the habit going and then I'll usually recover. It's usually linked to my sleep as well.
I really enjoy your content. Seems honest and genuine with down to earth sensibilities. Nice break from the “let’s fucking GOOOO” meat head content from other influencers
From across the pond Joe... love your down to earth attitude. Bud, don't stop what you're putting out there., and that sense of humor, love it. Keep up the great work.. also love your smoothie recipes.
A guy just talking normal about weights/exercise, no shouting or over exuberance for no reason is what I need. I'm just starting out on my weight lifting journey and real life info like this is a big help. Some good tips as well.
i haven't watched a video for you in a while. But i genuinely missed watching you bro. its as if i haven't seen a friend in a while. ps: you are the reason why that i pursued lifting as a hobby. Thank you joe for being awesome

This was a great vid, sad to see algo doesn't seem to be pushing your vids ad much recently. Iv been training for about 5 years now and there was info in here I'd never considered, cheers for that lad !
Joe you should do a video on your top 5/10 places to solo travel. Love you’ve got into traveling and I can’t wait to get away, but just looking where’s best to start and explore the world
Bro I don't know what it is about your videos, but your dry humor hits like a triceps superset. I've been laughing more at your fitness content than actual comedy youtubers. Love it 👍👍
It’s great to hear you give this advice and remove the image that you guys are all strictly adhering to a regime that isn’t achievable for anyone that isn’t a full time UA-camr
Wow I’ve seen a lot of these videos that are good but also just show generic tips I already know. This might one was far and above much better than all the ones I’ve seen on UA-cam. So much so that I took notes to really commit these to memory and habit. Thank you for this.
Good video, and very relevant for those of us that are in the intermediate phase. Motivation is critical to keep going, but it ebbs and flows. Your "Keep it Simple" approach is literally simple to adhere to, but is certainly not slacking off. Gains are still to be made, but this is a marathon and there's still far more to go before we drop dead. There is logic in seeking the middle ground.
Hey Joe, probably won't see this but I just wanted to say well done on everything you have achieved with that sick gym setup and house etc since you first started UA-cam & the continuity to share your passion, you're not successful because of your achievements you're successful because you made them happen 😊 All the best with the new baby god bless.
