- Experience Galveston: Butterfly Day at The Bryan Museum
During this segment on Experience Galveston, we're chatting with Meg Tucker at The Bryan Museum, 1315 21st Street, about Butterfly Day at The Bryan on Saturday, May 14. Butterfly Day is free with a reservation and open to children ages 4 to 12 years. Activities are scheduled on the grounds from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
The Bryan Museum is a monarch waystation and the gardens host native plants that attract butterflies. As part of Butterfly Day, children will create seed balls that they can take home to plant in their yards and can go on a rainbow butterfly hunt. They will also learn about the stage of life of butterflies.
The Bryan Museum is open Wednesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Thursdays. Admission is $14 for adults, $12 for Seniors/Military, $10 for students, $5 for children ages 6 to 12.
