I just want to say, I was down the road from sfhs. I was in second grade when the shooting happened. I remember it like it was yesterday, I heard all the shots, the screams, the fire alarm. Everything. Dr. Leah Wall the superintendent at the time was a horrible person. From what she said to the victims families here, to how she generally handled the district. She didn't have best interest in students or staff. We had a freeze and the city asked to use a old school and they would put heaters in it for the citizens who were less fortunate or lost power, she said no cus she didn't feel like opening up the old school and having people in it. That is the first time she has done something like that. Luckily she left 3 years ago. The superintendent we have now, Dr. Bott is amazing. He has completely changed the district for the better and had to fix this broken district.

Thank you for allowing us to learn about Santa Fe H.S. ... I'm in Florida, my friend was a teacher at Parkland, he is alive, but remember the anxiety of not knowing of his whereabouts for hours. EXCRUCIATING!!! I do remember hearing about this tragedy, but NEVER really heard much or knew much about it. It was drowned out. As though nothing really happened. Only 1 person injured and 1 deceased and NOTHING more. MY HEART goes out to each and everyone that was affected but such evil. The politics of IT all ANGERS ME. Meanwhile, all these folks are dealing with the horrific aftermath and NO the pain gets worse over time, especially when it continues to happen, you're right back. GOD BLESS; may Peace prevail on Earth, cause the trajectory has gone of the rails.
