I agree. I just upgraded from a DJI mini to a Mavic 3 Classic a few months and it feels like it’s already outdated with all the newer drones coming out. I hate that I was only able to enjoy it and have the feeling of having something brand new before the Mavic 3 pro came out

As some one that financial is unable to up grade to the air3 I still loved how you presented this drone. You let the perspective buyer know how this drone gives the buyer more options than the air2s. I hope I am alive to see air25s. Lol

23:50 I absolutely agree! Recently, we've been flying the Mavic 3 at the inlet and the Mini 3 Pro on the canal. While the Mavic 3 could certainly handle the canal, it's a bit narrow with trees lining both sides, overhead powerlines, and a bridge we often fly under. Naturally, we're cautious not to crash, but considering the potential risks, we feel more comfortable taking a $600 hit rather than a $2k+ one. I'm curious to know your thoughts on how well the drone performs at low levels, particularly around the 10ft mark, over the water. Safety is our priority, so any insights would be appreciated!
Your review was the best I've seen. Fantastic. With the new Firmware update this drone has to be the best out there. I love mine. It's a beast that takes wonderful pictures and videos.
I think that the Air 2s is still a great choice. I have one, and I live it. You do have some advantages , like the one inch sensor. I don’t think I’d ever use a telephoto lense too much, so I think that if you don’t see yourself using the dual camera and just want one camera that’s got a solid camera, the Air 2s is still a good way to go. not sure i can get rid of my Air2S either; for all the reasons you mentioned, as well as the slightly wider lens. it's the widest ship DJI has made at 22mm vs the standard 24/28mm they've gone with in the past. . and honestly, love the slight crop on 4k60. gives you slightly different look and able to get some parallax going with it. only thing i wish air2s had was cruise control, maybe software update will bring it 🤞🤞

Great video! I sold my original Mavic 3 for the Mini 3 Pro last summer and have been making it work for the past year. Seeking a bigger drone though to keep up with the wind and filming fast bass fishing boats. Big toss up between the Mavic 3 Classic and Air 3. Decisions, Decisions.
I am really bummed that I went with the Mavic 3 Classic. I had no idea that there was a Mavic 3 Pro or a multi-camera Air 3 on the way. Having multiple cameras with different focal lengths sounds like a real game changer. BUMMER!!!!

I like the charger pack, I hated how easily the others would easily disconnect and often would knock one off not noticing. This also would make it convenient to just grab that pack and throw it in a back. All batteries in their own case almost that I can just plug as needed.
Right and hes acting like its massive. Sure relatively speaking its a bigger. But he talked about chucking it in a backpack its the size of like 2 water bottles stacked on top of each other lol
The RC2 will be compatible with the Mini 4. I predict that the Mini 4 will not be a sub 250g drone. Rather, they will target the 500g threshold, which is also significant for regulations. With that, they can have a 1-inch sensor camera with a 1.7 aperture perhaps at 5.1k 60p resolution. 360-degree obstacle avoidance, longer flight time, superior wind resistance, faster top speed and 20km signal range. There aren't many significant upgrades you can do in the sub 250g space on a Mini 3 Pro. Maybe larger onboard memory storage and 360 obstacle avoidance. But that's not going to be enough to motivate upgrade buyers. Look out for the 500g threshold which is friendly for international travelers.

I could have really used the extra wind handling over the Air 2S. Just returned from shooting the volcano in Iceland. So many features of this Air 3 would have been really useful. 3x zoom would relieve a lot of anxiety. You gotta get close enough to worry about melting with the super wide of the Air 2S.
Awesome video. I really would love to see a full In-depth video on waypoints. Also I agree with you on having the same sensor size between the 2 focal lengths. I'm not a professional videographer/cinematographer by any means but I do create videos on my trips and when shooting in D-LOG on the 4/3 sensor then shooting Normal on the 7x ½", color grading can be a pain. So seeing that both the 1/1.3" sensors have D-LOG M/HLC is great, although, D-LOG M doesnt have as much dynamic range as D-LOG. So hopefully DJI can add D-LOG to the Air 3 in a firmware update the way they brought HLG & more recently D-LOG M to the M3 series.
Would you go for the Mavic 3 or the Air 3? I have a 2s and am filming kitesurfing so I need zoom to get close without getting caught in the kite lines. I also film in 25-35mph winds
What's the difference between the internal antennas and the external ones? From a certain perspective you could say they're the same, no? Both are covered by plastic and I doubt that tiny difference in distance to the other hardware really makes much difference. I also used to think that "external" antennas would be better, but are they really?

Unfortunately, at least based on the Rec.709 samples you provided, this AC seems to have a bad case of the "DJI processing" malady that we've seen from them on many drones since the Phantom. Basically heavy on the NR, and sharpening, producing footage that flickers whenever the camera turns. Its maddening. If its possible to add a few D-LogM clips to your sample folder, it would be a huge help. I can't imagine buying this AC if everything has this processing but sometimes in the past, DJI has laid off the shake-and-bake with their DLog variants. Again, thanks for supplying the sample images and video. It's a great service that is highly appreciated.
As far as the ocusync for, more realistic tests would be in a wooded area. Will it go more than 1,400 ft through a wooded area? It's easy to get 6 Mi or more on open Coastline facing the ocean. But in a wooded area you lose signal very quickly.
Does the RC-N2 also have the external flip up antennae like the RC2? If not, would you consider the RC2 to have better communication with the drone? Thanks, Billy.

I have an Air 2S, Mini 3 Pro, Mini 4 Pro and the first Avata. I just purchased the Air 3 for two reasons. The first is that I am afraid DJI may be banned here in the USA and we may never see the Air 4. The second is that there is a great sale on the Air 3 right now at Best Buy. $1239.99 for the Air 3, the fly more combo kit and the RC2 screen controller. I had to make a quicker than I wanted to decision because the sale ends on Sunday 6/23/24. I also have the same decision issue that you face . . . which drone shall I take with me today . . .
Hi Billy, Ignoring the secondary camera on the AIR 3, how would you compare the cameras performance to the new Mini 4 Pro? As I understand it it's the same camera? Are there any significant differences? In particular, how is the night mode on the Mini 4 compared to the Air 3? Tell me why I should get one over the other. 😉

Does the 48mp mode still suffer from the same chromatic aberrations and colour shifts as much as the mini 3 Pro? It'd be interesting to see seeing as they both use the same omnivision ov48c sensor.
Cool seeing some super familiar shots of Utah that I myself have shot with my skydio. (Your videos are what helped me pull the trigger on my Skydio purchase) Bummed to hear that they are killing their consumer line😤 I guess I’ll have to start looking at the DJI seeing that it’s the only real choice for any kind of subject tracking capabilities……
I got the phantom 3 standard and professional. I use one for fishing and the other for video. I'm looking to get a Mavic but I'm debating on which one. I had my eye on the classic . But the duo cameras are cool 😎
That battery bank is really cool but isn’t it bad for the health of the battery to reduce the percentage below 20% to fill up another battery just a thought I had idk still really l cool through ! Awesome review bro !

😮I own the Mavic Air 2S (pro work) and the Mavic Mini 3 Pro (IG/UA-cam). And I fly recklessly on an Air 2k(for fun/photography). Im trying to decide between the Air 3 or the Mavic 3 Classic. I enjoy the characteristics of the Air 2S with its better video image quality, control, and speed. Its just an all around great drone. And I love it. I also enjoy the portability of the Mini 3 pro and the vertical filmming. So I carry that one around mostly and use indoors, plus vertical. Only one battery too. Forces me to practice withthe other two. I'm particular to better image quality but I also like the 2nd camera on the new air 3. Gives more versatility in creativity. I guess the question is... the jump in image quality good enough on the Air 3 from the Air 2S (including on the 2nd camera). *The vertical is cool too! OR is the Classic undeniably better looking and the controlable aperture more pro. I feel like unless I'm shooting a funded film, I can get away with the Air 3 footage for anything, including professional work (real estate, short films, etc). Any insights anyone? Feel free to jump in if you own the Classic or Air 3. I love the Mini size, I love the Air size, but realistically the Mavic 3 isn't really that big either. Please help. I'm most likely gonna sell the Air 2. Use the Air 3/Classic for pro work, the mini for IG/UA-cam, and fly the Air 2S reckless and for photography. Hit me.
How do the range/signal compare between the Mini 3 Pro, Air 3, and Mavic 3 Pro in real world use (with trees, buildings, etc.)? Does the new controller increase the range of the Mini 3 Pro? My Mini 3 Pro has terrible range and signal compared to my Mavic 2 Pro so I'm looking at getting the Air 3 or Mavic 3 Pro unless the new controller alone will increase my Mini 3 Pro range.

The parallax effect you get with a three times telephoto on the air three is out of this world

Basically heavy on the NR, and sharpening, producing footage that flickers whenever the camera turns. Its maddening. If its possible to add a few D-LogM clips to your sample folder, it would be a huge help. I can't imagine buying this AC if everything has this processing but sometimes in the past, DJI has laid off the shake-and-bake with their DLog variants. Again, thanks for supplying the sample images and video. It's a great service that is highly appreciated.

As far as the ocusync for, more realistic tests would be in a wooded area. Will it go more than 1,400 ft through a wooded area? It's easy to get 6 Mi or more on open Coastline facing the ocean. But in a wooded area you lose signal very quickly.
I like the new battery hub. I hated how the batteries could easily slip out with the old charging strips.
I can see that vertical crop coming for the Mavic 3 line up in the next update being a 4:3 sensor

I'm in the market to upgrade from my P4pro plus. Does the RC pro controller work the air 3? I love flying with my skyzone x4 goggles so I need an HDMI port and I see DJI did not include it in the RCn2.

I have an Air 2S, Mini 3 Pro, Mini 4 Pro and the first Avata. I just purchased the Air 3 for two reasons. The first is that I am afraid DJI may be banned here in the USA and we may never see the Air 4. The second is that there is a great sale on the Air 3 right now at Best Buy. $1239.99 for the Air 3, the fly more combo kit and the RC2 screen controller. I had to make a quicker than I wanted to decision because the sale ends on Sunday 6/23/24. I also have the same decision issue that you face . . . which drone shall I take with me today . . .

As I understand it it's the same camera? Are there any significant differences? In particular, how is the night mode on the Mini 4 compared to the Air 3?

It's tough to decide. The Air 3 is WAY more powerful of a drone.

M3P will be more future-proof imo, but really depends on what you're looking to shoot with it.
Can you switch between the 24mm and 70mm cameras mid-recording of video? Or do you need stop recording, switch, and start recording again?
Does the 48mp mode still suffer from the same chromatic aberrations and colour shifts as much as the mini 3 Pro? It'd be interesting to see seeing as they both use the same omnivision ov48c sensor.
I will be purchasing my Air 3 soon. Do you suggest buying a 65w charging station? I was told the Fly More cable system is very slow when charging.

I got the phantom 3 standard and professional. I use one for fishing and the other for video. I'm looking to get a Mavic but I'm debating on which one. I had my eye on the classic . But the duo cameras are cool 😎

😮I own the Mavic Air 2S (pro work) and the Mavic Mini 3 Pro (IG/UA-cam).
And I fly recklessly on an Air 2k(for fun/photography).
Im trying to decide between the Air 3 or the Mavic 3 Classic.
I enjoy the characteristics of the Air 2S with its better video image quality, control, and speed. Its just an all around great drone. And I love it.
I also enjoy the portability of the Mini 3 pro and the vertical filmming. So I carry that one around mostly and use indoors, plus vertical. Only one battery too. Forces me to practice withthe other two.
I'm particular to better image quality but I also like the 2nd camera on the new air 3. Gives more versatility in creativity.
I guess the question is...
the jump in image quality good enough on the Air 3 from the Air 2S (including on the 2nd camera).
*The vertical is cool too!
OR
is the Classic undeniably better looking and the controlable aperture more pro.
I feel like unless I'm shooting a funded film, I can get away with the Air 3 footage for anything, including professional work (real estate, short films, etc).

I'm most likely gonna sell the Air 2. Use the Air 3/Classic for pro work, the mini for IG/UA-cam, and fly the Air 2S reckless and for photography.
