Tough Choice, two of the best drones but only one winner..... Which would you pick? Air 3 or Mini 4 Pro?? Let me know in comments.. Get drone Luts and Cheat Sheets here - dmprovisuals.com
I was thinking about getting the 3pro trying to decide between that and the A3. I've been told to go for Air. Being that you brought it up what are your thoughts between the two? Does the m3p give much more advantages to make it worth the price? Thoughts on photo and video quality between them. Thanks
Same here. I have a mavic 3 but it's nice to have the smaller drone just for being able to get it going wherever I am without worrying about rules and distances quite so much.
The mini 4 pro has two battery options. The standard battery is 2590 mAh (which makes the drone under 250 grams) is in the general flymore kit... the PLUS version has bigger batteries of 3840 mAh (which make it 255 grams) is in the flymore plus kit. When buying, you have to look/confirm what batteries your kit comes with, especially if it is critical for your drone to be under 250 grams. I have the PLUS version and get 32 minutes flight time as long as not too windy. If windy, I get about 25 minutes. The best I have gotten out of my Air 3 is 34 minutes. Remember if you charge the night before you leave, having the batteries in the charging dock, the batteries may discharge to 96% (for battery preservation) so you may end up setting off the next day at not full battery. So, leave charger plugged in until you walk out the door the day of the flight, or have a charge port in the car on the way to the flying destination.
@@rcafmaintainer3723 the larger batteries are legal too, there are just more restrictions on the drone and you might need extra licenses. It could be useful to have both. The larger batteries for flights away from people and buildings but a longer flight time and the smaller batteries for when you need the drone to be under 250 g.
When has anyone ever been docked for flying the plus battery? In fact, when has anyone ever been checked if their drones are over or under the weight limit while flying?
I have both the Mini 4 Pro and the Air 3. I fully agree with you … in terms of flying experience I very much prefer the Air 3. That extra power and stability gives me a lot more confidence. The Air 3 is the drone I am flying more than the Mini 4 Pro. I find that I only fly the Mini 4 Pro when I travel to countries where the foreign registration process is too difficult. 😊
im debating in getting the air 3, but I have never been worried about wind with my 4 mini its super agile and stable very impressive ! but I am very tempted to get the air 3 rn
@@Thechosen77 Keep in mind the Air 3 will offer longer flight time, better handling in strong winds, and a double lens. These all become very useful with not just pictures or videos, by when using waypoints and hyperlapse.
@@joea.o2438 too much hassle with glasses and stuff. And also motion sickness. Im used to camera drone so i guess thats my game 😛 but its a really kool drone tho. I loved playing with it
I love how the Googles 3 are compatible with the Mini 4 Pro and Avata 2. Makes it awesome owning both drones and gives me the best of both worlds. The Mini series is just game changing drones for what you can do in such a small package. They are reasonable in strong wind. If the wind is so strong that the 4 Pro isn’t flyable I’d not really want to fly any drone. I’ve owned the Air 2 and it was good in wind but it wasn’t night and day. The 3 and 4 just are overall better for my use, less restrictions, smaller, less weight, easy to pack to take everywhere you go. But do have the A2CofC so I have less restrictions but even then I still prefer the overall experience of the 4 Pro over the bigger drones. Plus the bigger drones and getting very expensive now. Horses for courses. Get what will suit your uses and preferences and don’t be persuaded by other people as they may have different uses and preferences.
Greetings from Ireland! Thanks for such a good video. Hard to make a decision when looking at spec sheets and not actual user experience. Your video made it very simple to make up my mind on which drone to get. Thanks again and keep it up!
I have a Mini 2 which I love but I live near Chicago which is known as the Windy City for a reason. My Mini sometimes has problems with the wind. So even though the Mini 4 Pro looks like a great option I’m going to go with an Air 3 mainly because of the weight.
Dallas, TX here. I went with the pro 4 simply due to licensing. It's been a blast, great video and so responsive. Much better than mavic air. Taking it on the glaciers in Alaska this August.
still loving my mavic 3 classic for inspections and my avata for fun flying... i have alot of windy conditions and the mavic 3 classic is a beast for that.
Same for me, the mavic 3 is a marvellous beast. Just decided to get a mini 4 pro to be able to whip up into the sky without as many restrictions where I live. Have to travel a decent distance now to fly my mavic 3. Sigh.
This is similar to what I am thinking. I have a small 2.5” FPV drone but for photography, inspections, exploration, etc, it just isn’t that great. It is so much easier to get certain shots with a stabilised drone with a gimbal. It would also be much easier to find work with a stabilised drone with a gimbal than an FPV drone, they don’t really have much use outside of filming and even then the shots are quite limited.
I have the Mini 3 Pro and have recently purchased the Air 3 as I was looking for a more stable flight in the wind and better battery life. I love my mini 3 Pro and fly it in areas that I cannot fly the Air 3 so I am now prepared for all situations ;) Darren your video has convinced me that I made the right choice and I thank you sir! GREAT VIDEO!!!
Great Video. For Events it honestly doesn’t matter as much on flight time… I only have 10 minutes tops to get aerial coverage, then I have to get back to shooting the Event. I bought the Mini 4 Pro for that reason along with the size added to my bag for travel without restrictions. We have to remember our Drone Footage is only being seen by the intend audience for literally seconds within our total footage, capturing 25+ minutes of extra footage we are probably not going to use can be fixed easily with flight planning.
As an owner of the Mini line for the last 3 generations, I'm going to get the Air 3. Flying the Mini series has been awesome and I have no major complaints but too often wind and distance have become a frequent problem and if the additional $400 can resolve that issue, then that's the deciding factor for me. Also the additional zoom lens helps lol
I have the mini 3 pro so the decision was a no brainer for me. But I agree the added lens, battery life and overall performance of the Air 3 makes it well worth the money. Very pleased with the Air 3
I had a mini 4 pro. It was perfect, but I lost it after a couple of weeks. Trying to land it on a small boat. As it came down, the boat moved, destabilised the drone and it shot off sideways and sunk in the lake. I’ve saved my money again and with the Air 3S due out in 2 days, I will absolutely go with that. It’s just more robust and more powerful and that is what counts.
Be wary as you will still have the same Issues with using it on a boat due to it constantly moving. Master hand launching and landing and you should be better off, but even then you still move relative to the drone. I’ve used a drone on a boat and it took some time to make sure I could get it safely, even with hand landing as the sensors detect your hands, so you have to kind of grab it out the air.
pretty well done overview about these two goodies 😊👍🏼 i own the Mini 3 Pro (which i feel to be pretty similar to the M4P, ignoring the missing side sensors😉) and the Air 3, and guess what => 38 of my 43 hours air time last year have been on the Air 3 ! as i nearly never shoot in vertical, allways carry em in a bag (with all the batteries, filters, controller and other small equipment parts), DON´T wanna fly without knowing the rules (highly recommend EVERYONE to get the A1/A3 for nearly no costs at all), and fly in windy conditions too, the Air 3 is my No.1 ... the 3x camera, air time and (air/wind) stability are the points of choice on my side ... by the way, there's one more very important point for me => as i allways fly in VLOS (Visible Line Of Sight), i can fly round about 170m vs 120m away, still seeing the drone and it's reaction to the sticks ... i twice had a crashed video signal on the M3P (older firmware, one year ago) in an area with many trees, regulated air spaces around and no chance to bring it back with the RTH button ... luckily only 40-60m away, so i could get it back with eyesight only ...
Yesterday, I made my first purchase of a drone. I got the DJI air 3 I had to pre-order it though thank you for making these videos and making it easier for everybody to make their mind up. Keep up the great work many thanks.👍
I started flying drones a few years back buying a mini 2.December 2022 i’ve bought the air 2s because i wanted better quality photo’s and bigger files to work with.2 weeks back i’ve upgraded the mini 2 to the mini 4 pro fly more combo with smartcontroller. For me the combination mp4 and the air 2s works really well.Imo the air 2s is still a better drone compared to the newer air 3 due to the bigger sensor.I wouldn’t trade the air 2s for the air 3 because it still provides me with awesome picture quality.I wish i could have all the features from the mp4 on the air 2s,that would be amazing. The mp4 is really impressive for such a small drone.I was almost was shocked the first time i launched the mp4.It’s so incredible quiet compared to the air 2s (even the mini 2 is louder)…a few meters up in the air and you can’t hear the drone anymore.Waypoint missions, cruisecontrol, vertical shooting, smart return to home option and the ar system are very impressive .Well done Dji…gotta love them for that 🛸😎👍🏻Whatever of both drones in this video you choose…you can’t go wrong with Dji !
100% I got them with the Avata 2 and it’s awesome I can fly FPV but also use it with the 4 Pro, makes it a no brainer. I went for the Avata 2 fly more as the goggles are nearly £600 on their own, so it made it a much better deal to get a new drone with the Avata 2 with 3 batteries etc.
I was hoping you'd comment which one would be best from a total beginners perspective, but, I will go for the mini 4 pro. I'm still nervous of flying an even more expensive drone and doing damage to it, so it's best to go with the slightly cheaper option that encompasses pretty much everything. The combo price in my country right now for the mini 4 pro is 1153 euros and the Air 3 about 1350 euros without the extra propellers etc. Cheers though it was the best run down of the 2😊
Sold my Air 2s and planned on getting the Air 3. Love to have a smaller drone, but overall, think the Air 3 is the best choice. Thanks for the effort in doing the comparison.
I am looking at both of them really hard. I am in the USA. I am leaning towards the mini 4 pro. Only because if you get the regular battery’s you don’t need to register it and it won’t activate remote Id. I am digging the air 3 but I like my privacy register isn’t that big of a deal but I am not a fan of anyone with a smartphone knowing my location and info. It would be one thing if it was just authorities but it’s not once it goes active.
Excellent presentation Darren. I'm loving the Mini 4 Pro, but the batteries are absolutely shocking. No wind, 15 to 18 minutes max, not going bonkers using features. I bought two extra, enough for me. Rules and regulations wise, and I can fly practically everywhere, also for travelling, the mini 4 for me. 👍
I'm currently shopping for one too. I'm pretty set on the Air 3. I got my first drone around Xmas (Mini 3) and it broke, so I returned it. I'm torn between RC2 and RC-N2. I don't mind carrying a spare phone, but am worried about it getting hot and dim. Which controller did you get?
@@richardnavratil9661in my experience the Rc2 battery doesn’t last long. I find myself having to charge my control after flight is finished as to the RCN2 I don’t have to charge it every day it’ll last me multiple fly days. And if you have latest flagship phone , the screen is bigger than the RC2
I've been watching your videos for almost a year, torn between the Air 3 and the Mavic 3 Pro. Based on this video, I'm going with the Air 3. I'll be purchasing your cheat sheet now and the LUTS later.
I'm in the process of saving for a m4p as my first drone. I opted for the m4p as I live in the UK's 2nd city (no it's not Manchester LoL), and decided as it's my first drone, I haven't got to worry as much about the regs. I can go to my local park to practice, or even practice in my back garden. When and if? I really get the drone bug and confident in flying it, I will certainly be opting for the a3, unless there's something better released at this time? Many thanks for this vlog, Even though the A3 came out as the no brainer. At this time I'm just not ready for it.
I fly in floridas beaches all the time with my mini se, mini 3 and mini 4 pro. They are pretty stable even heading out into sea but still sometimes to be cautious about!
I started with the mini 2 SE and was about to upgrade to the Mini 4 pro, but then decided to go with the AIR 3… seemed to be the best of both worlds. Hope it was the right decision.
I have a DJI Mini 4 pro and love it to bits. I am now saving for a new bigger more powerful drone, another DJI because I trust the brand. We'll see what they got when I got the ca$h, Mavick or Air3 ? Wouldn't it be nice to not have to save and to be able to just buy what you want when you want it
I just bought the Air 3 to replace my Mavic Air 2. It was close between these two drones but the Air 3 was on sale and your video was very helpful in giving real world insight into the drones and I do fly in a variety of conditions so I think the Air 3 will perform a lot better for my needs. Plus the telephoto option will be great for added variety in drone video and photography!
I have m3p and m4p , and find them both great , I really haven't had any issues with the wind with either and I live in the lakes , the portability is great especially when hiking , and I don't have the problems of keeping away from towns too much .
I`m still a beginner and still learning. I started with the Phantom 3 standard. Upgraded to the mini 4 Pro. Did think about the Air 3. However, the reason I went with the Mini 4 was because of the less restrictive flying regulations and the price. Oh and the fact it is so portable regarding size.
I believe the only difference is a $5/3year registration and not needing remote ID I believe all other laws are shared. Correct me if you know otherwise
With the intelligent flight battery plus, the weight of DJI Mini 4 Pro will cross 250g. So do we need a license to fly or just need to register the drone ?
Let’s normalize having a definitive opinion on UA-cam, instead of always trying to please everyone with a lazy both are great opinion. BRAVO. Thank you
Great video. Must admit I thought you glossed over some of the Air3 advantages a little but as I'm an Air3 owner I might be a little biased 😊 Something I thought should have been mentioned is that to get the better flight time the Mini 4 needs the bigger battery which puts it over the 250gm threshold.
I have the Mini3 Pro and there wasn't a justifiable reason to change to the Mini4 Pro. If I would upgrade it would be to the Air3 C1, but would keep the Mini3 Pro as a travel drone. Within EASA it's almost the same to fly a C0 or a C1. You just need more the A1-A3 CofC. As in my country (Portugal) the A1-A3 CofC is needed to fly the Mini3 Pro there no difference for me in this respect. The bottom line is if one lives on an EASA country and don't want to travel with the drone the Air3 C1 is the drone to choose. If the intention is to take your drone on your travels the Mini4 Pro C0 is the best choice. I have already taken my Mini3 Pro to the Dominican Republic and to Cape Verde.
I'm looking to purchase my first drone. Will start as a hobby. However, my goal is to start posting social media clips. Mainly car videos. I'm debating on either the mini 3 or Air 3..
A question now. I have had a mini 2 for over 2 years and want to upgrade but I've held off because I've heard the mini 4 pro has a shorter battery life. Now that the AIR 3S is out I'm considering jumping to that. I've heard it's fantastic!
Getting a couple heavy DJI batteries (Plus) for the Mini 4 Pro tomorrow, they should add to flight time. > than 8.8 Oz (250 g, .55 Lbs), so registration required, the Remote ID will broadcast while using The Heavies. I got a my part 107 though. No channel yet.
The Air 3s is out now, and it has a 1" sensor again! I ordered the 4 pro because I don't have the money for the Air 3s, but that would be my choice if I was a pro.
Great video, thank you! Only nit is you could have commented on the Plus battery which gives the Mini quite a bit more flight time. Keep up the great content!
@DMProduction a new subscriber !! Thank you for the comparison. My first drone recently was the mini three. early one evening videoing a Boat 19:18 which at the bottom was surrounded in Pineneedles, a soft bed, and one single rock!! of course it directly landed on the rock🫣at that point, I definitely wanted the 360 avoidance, so I jumped right to the air three. I hadn’t physically seen the difference in size and was kind of setback on how big in comparison to the mini 3. I absolutely love the extended battery life along with the telephoto lens. My biggest complaint is the noise factor, where as I fly around a very quiet lake a lot, and you can actually hear this early evening a mile away. Getting used to the 360 avoidance is a little cumbersome when bringing it in through the trees to land and not sure if the mini four would have the same issue. In the USA you have to register anything over 250 g with the FAA which I have done. In hindsight providing the mini for has all the active track features as a new air three I would probably lean towards the Mini 4 just because of the noise, factor!! I watched your video on active track and especially like the way you narrated it, that the average person can follow. Look forward to more posts PG
Excellent video as usual! Upgrading from the Spark, I had almost convinced myself that the Mini 4 Pro was the logical choice for my requirements. But.... the 3X camera and the better wind resistance of the Air 3 kept tempting me 😅 Finally went with the Air 3 last week. So glad I did!
I can't afford either of these drones, i just recently bought a second hand Mini 3 with a PLUS battery for less than £250! and wow it just keeps flying and flying with that battery in🙂, when i had the mini 2 i was sometimes worried about how long i have in the air, but now i actually get board sometimes lol, also the extra weight of the plus battery makes the mini 3 more stable in windy conditions 👍
I really want the mini 4 pro as its the perfect size and weight for me but the 3x zoom on the air 3 is really appealing and think I would use it alot. Can't decide which one
Hi I have the mini 4 and where I live I can fly with much less restrictions compared to the Air 3. With the Air 3 I could not make pictures from my garden or the lake near by nor get permission to fly using the dji portal as I’m near an airport.
I went fort the Air3 with the RC2 and I've never had second thoughts if I should've gone for the Mini4Pro, And thanks for all your videos. This norwegian guy is thankful. Bought your cheat sheets and thinking about buying the Lut pack. :-)
Great comparison, I have both drones and they are great drones. When I am ebiking through the forest I use the Mini 4 Pro as long as the wind is less than 20 mph. When I'm flying along the coast I use the Air 3 due to wind gusts. Thanks for another great review. Cheers
MY GUT INSTINCT IS TELLING TO TO WAIT FOR THE AIR 3s/3pro/4. But it actually makes tones of sense to buy both of these drones you’ve shown. The best drones out there today! It seems that having the 2 smaller (mini/air) gives more filming opportunities than having 1 mavic 3 drone.
I am going to film mountain bike race events. The Air 3 has the two cameras which will give two options for the shot I want to take while in the air, given that the race is live and that I can't reshoot anything a second time.
I own the original DJI Mavic air and I still use it a lot. Cons for travel are the - carrying battery charger - WiFi tech / range Wish DJI make the air 4 smaller to the original air, but with the restrictions anything over 250 grams I would think it does not matter no longer.
Having the M3P I'd look at the air 3 mainly just for the better wind resistance doing a lot of hiking n mountain biking for me it would a big difference where I can fly it I love my M3P for its light weight compact usability but on those windy days I think against using it
I've been out on some pretty windy days. I live up in the mountain. By the way, so the wind is quite a radic and heavy here when it does get up. And I have had no problems with my mp4 I'm not gonna lie to you. I have taken it up in twelve m/s Winds and I've had no problem. It gets a little bit unstable just barely, but it's still fully controllible. The wind resistance is only listed as The wind resistance is only listed 2 ms Difference anyway Honestly I think the only thing that makes the air even remotely worth thinking about. Is the 3X. Magnification, but I don't think that something that most people can just have a $500 price up for I've also found that the low light performance of the Mini is better as the obstacle avoidance sensors with the air have attended seat to turn off in low light environments Before the Mini does that's probably due to it being a larger drone and. Having the sensors more space depart but I couldn't tell you one hundred percent why
Very good detailed comparison video and finally someone takes side. Im tired of hearing that its up to me which one is better for me. Im glad to hear that you would recommend / choose the Air 3 due to x and y. Thanks
You can’t adjust the aperture in either 🤯 Damn. That’s a feature I use a lot on the Mavic Pro 2, even with ND filters. Can you adjust the shutter and ISO?
Im still rocking the Mini 3 pro, but I'd love to upgrade to the Air 3. With my luck though, as soon as i bought one, DJI would drop a Mavic 4 or Air 3s 😅
I've got both as I decided productivity is paramount if you want to get the job done everytime. If you go out flying for a day, you really have the choice to max out and work across a range of situations. Start with both fully charged then charge on the go whichever you use first. Just comes down to how much stamina you've got to keep concentrating and capturing. Also if one drone is out of action you can still fly and create. Great video as always and what inspired me to aim to be a pro level drone pilot.
I would personally go for the DJI Mini 4 Pro. You can fly it in more places than you can with the AIR 3. Because you would need to have or to have passed your A2 C of C to fly the Air 3 in closer proximatty places. So it would be the Mini 4 Pro for me.
As a documentary cameraman I went with the Mini 4 Pro, mainly because of its size. Aerial footage is mostly used for establishing a new location and must be shot fast. Battery lasts long enough for those purposes. The second big plus for the Mini 4 Pro is, I can legally fly over roofs, people and even in some parts of the inner city of Vienna. That said, the decision which drone is best completely depends on the needs and tasks of the customer.
I have the mini pro three and have had it for about a year and I’m at the stage where I want to upgrade. Also had the mini one and my only complaint with them is not wanting to put them up when it’s windy and at my place it’s always windy so I’m definitely looking to upgrade to the air 3 instead of the mini 4
I already own an air 2s and its absolutely brilliant but and an advanced half license, done the advanced exam but not the in person YET... will do this summer .. i've just ordered the 4 pro because i can literally fly it anywhere outside my backdoor .. there is a restriction in my area that only allows me to fly the air2s 75 yards from where i live ((
I'm waiting on my mini 4 pro , from all the reviews I have been watching only real down side is wind ..so I wouldn't wanna be flying either of them in high wind conditions
Thank you for this video. The best I have seen yet! With that said, I am still torn. I am an avid photographer, Nikon 850. Live in the US Rocky Mountain area. Always exploring beautiful backcountry and mountain adventures. I appreciate quality! My son has a Mavic 2.We have had smooch fun creating vidoes. I've been researching drones for a year now and, I am ready to purchase. What I love about the Mini 4 pro is the size. Fabulous for hiking and backpacking. My concern is that I want the best quality videos. I don't want to get wrapped up in the small size and no need for the license which is nice when we travel to Canada. Still torn between the two.
I got the Air 3 as my first real drone and absolutely love it, but I went through all of the extra propellers learning what the sensors don’t see.. lol I got the avata 2 while I was waiting for new props to arrive because I wanted the goggles that will work for both. While the avata is a blast to fly I am very spoiled with how the Air 3 takes video. I think the battery is finished charging,, I gotta go…
I think you can easily make a case for BOTH of them. Yes, there is significant overlap in capabilities, but also offers a host of capabilities and advantages you can't find in the other.
For example, let's just say you've been hired to shoot an outdoor wedding. Which one would you take? I'd take the Mini 4 hands down. But if someone hired me for landscape shots in Alaska, I'd sure as hell be taking the Air 3 each and every time without a moment's thought.
Well that settles it...almost too windy here in Nova Scotia for my Mini 3 so Air 3 is my upgrade choice! Not much mention of whether the Air 3 gets close to the estimated battery life though?
@Bruno-et3ev To my knowledge that is true. It is only sold in China and it is not distributed outside of China as within everywhere else in the world. You have to be within visual line of side of the drone.
@@Bruno-et3ev yes it is only listed in dji’s China store, incidentally dji has a similar module for mavic 3, but it is mounted externally with an adaptor.
I sold my Mavic 3 series 1, and also sold my Mini 3 pro. I went and bought the Air 3. out of all of the drones I have had over the years the Air 3 is my all time favorite, for all of the reasons mentioned in this video. I believe I will have the Air 3 for some time, well until something better comes along, but it will have some big shoes to fill when it does !! 🤨
probably the best sponsored Blogger i even seen. keep the good work! I would love to hear more about the comparison in value for money between Mavic 2 Pro for $500 with a smart controller VS Air 3 for $1100?
Thank you so much for the input. I was thinking about the mini 4 but after watching your video no doubt what so ever, I am getting the air 3. Thank you.
M4P has larger plus battery option with advertised 47 minutes flight time versus 34 minutes with standard battery. But plus battery puts drone over 250 grams.
Good comparison video, but you didn't mention that the Mini 4 Pro also has the plus batteries that gives you more than 30 minutes. It's rated for 45 minutes. I have the Mini 4 Pro and the Mavic Air 2, but I'm really impressed with the new features that the Mini 4 Pro has. I really like using the waypoints to fly a nice cinematic video.

Air 3
Looking at the a3. I know they have the same size sensor. But I was wondering are they both the backlit stacked sensor?
I was thinking about getting the 3pro trying to decide between that and the A3. I've been told to go for Air. Being that you brought it up what are your thoughts between the two? Does the m3p give much more advantages to make it worth the price? Thoughts on photo and video quality between them. Thanks
I got the Mini 4 Pro just because of the size, I do a lot of climbing and snowboarding and simply love how easy to bring to any activity I'm doing!
Picked the mini 4 for the reduced restrictions and quiet flight.
Same here. I have a mavic 3 but it's nice to have the smaller drone just for being able to get it going wherever I am without worrying about rules and distances quite so much.
Nothing beats night mode on magic 3 enjoying my air 3. Someone stole my mavic
5$ 3years is nothing let’s not be ridiculous
I made the mistake and bought the plus more. I have since bought the legal >250 batteries.
@@conorstewart2214 If I flew it with the larger batteries, I’d going against the drone laws here. I currently don’t have the required licence.
When has anyone ever been docked for flying the plus battery? In fact, when has anyone ever been checked if their drones are over or under the weight limit while flying?
@@MrPhilbautista Whoever is the first, will get the book thrown at them I am sure. Not a problem here in Australia (yet)
Just got an air 3. Insane drone. Had a mini 2. Bought the avata 2 but returned it and got air 3. So happy with it.
hello! I just received my Avata 2. Just curious, what is the reason you returned Avata 2? I haven't flown my Avata 2 yet.
@@joea.o2438 too much hassle with glasses and stuff. And also motion sickness. Im used to camera drone so i guess thats my game 😛 but its a really kool drone tho. I loved playing with it
The effort you put into these videos in so good
Appreciate that
I agree
Thanks for this even if it's 8 months old..was looking at upgrading from the mini 2 and I don't think the mini 5 will be out soon..so air 3 it is.
Greetings from Ireland!
Thanks for such a good video. Hard to make a decision when looking at spec sheets and not actual user experience.
Your video made it very simple to make up my mind on which drone to get. Thanks again and keep it up!
Video definitely solidified my choice. Air 3 for me.
I have a Mini 2 which I love but I live near Chicago which is known as the Windy City for a reason. My Mini sometimes has problems with the wind. So even though the Mini 4 Pro looks like a great option I’m going to go with an Air 3 mainly because of the weight.
Your reviews are so comprehensive and so well-articulated. Going with the DJ Air 3. Thank you so much.
My pleasure!
Hi like the idea of the cheat cards!! Where do I order them please ??
Linked top of description ☺️
Today is Prime Day and ordered an Air 3 this morning. It'll be here later today. Can't wait to fly it!
Yes super strong in the wind the Mavic series
How would you not be able to fly the Air 3? Due to local atmospheric conditions? I'm looking for bying an Air3, but still looking for information
@@dzengiztafa510 same
Great Video.
I have a mini 2se but been looking into the air 3 but maybe hoping there will be a new air4? But all the new features and tech will be useful
Be wary as you will still have the same
Issues with using it on a boat due to it constantly moving. Master hand launching and landing and you should be better off, but even then you still move relative to the drone. I’ve used a drone on a boat and it took some time to make sure I could get it safely, even with hand landing as the sensors detect your hands, so you have to kind of grab it out the air.
I am upgeading my this year, and my choice has always been the Air 3. For the work I do, it makes the most sense to me.
What work do you do?
pretty well done overview about these two goodies 😊👍🏼
i own the Mini 3 Pro (which i feel to be pretty similar to the M4P, ignoring the missing side sensors😉) and the Air 3,
and guess what => 38 of my 43 hours air time last year have been on the Air 3 !
as i nearly never shoot in vertical, allways carry em in a bag (with all the batteries, filters, controller and other small equipment parts), DON´T wanna fly without knowing the rules (highly recommend EVERYONE to get the A1/A3 for nearly no costs at all), and fly in windy conditions too, the Air 3 is my No.1 ...
the 3x camera, air time and (air/wind) stability are the points of choice on my side
... by the way, there's one more very important point for me => as i allways fly in VLOS (Visible Line Of Sight), i can fly round about 170m vs 120m away, still seeing the drone and it's reaction to the sticks ... i twice had a crashed video signal on the M3P (older firmware, one year ago) in an area with many trees, regulated air spaces around and no chance to bring it back with the RTH button ... luckily only 40-60m away, so i could get it back with eyesight only ...
The only decent comparison video by a human who's actually owned them thanks
For me, the goggles integration added yet another great layer of functionality and flat out fun to my Mini 4 Pro.
Please recommend good ND Filters for DJI MINI 4 PRO.
Im gettin good flight time using the Plus Batteries
40 min with plus batteries
I went with the Air 3. 75mm lens and more power for fighting the wind made picking easy for me.
@richardnavratil9661 My S23 Ultra is excellent doesn't dim or get hot, And is brighter then the controller.
is the DJI Mavic 3 Pro better than the air 3
@@sniffiejoe9370the price difference not worth it for the spec air 3 specifically on sale best bang for buck
I've been watching your videos for almost a year, torn between the Air 3 and the Mavic 3 Pro. Based on this video, I'm going with the Air 3. I'll be purchasing your cheat sheet now and the LUTS later.
Ah thank you I appreciate that! Good choice with the Air 3
I have both drones, and the Air 3 is my goto drone. For many of the reasons you covered in this video. Great review, and thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
I believe the only difference is a $5/3year registration and not needing remote ID
I believe all other laws are shared.
Correct me if you know otherwise
@@coleknight7529 I am in the UK.
@@SuperFredc you guys have classes of operators huh?
A1,2,3 etc.?
@@coleknight7529 Yes, but under 250g in take off weight there is very little restrictions here.
With the intelligent flight battery plus, the weight of DJI Mini 4 Pro will cross 250g. So do we need a license to fly or just need to register the drone ?
Glad you said that , because I’ve just upgraded to an air3 from a mini pro 3 .
But I still use both !!
Let’s normalize having a definitive opinion on UA-cam, instead of always trying to please everyone with a lazy both are great opinion. BRAVO. Thank you
Awesome video and review like always. Thank you. I’m choosing the air 3 since I crashed my mini 3 pro.
Great video. Must admit I thought you glossed over some of the Air3 advantages a little but as I'm an Air3 owner I might be a little biased 😊
Something I thought should have been mentioned is that to get the better flight time the Mini 4 needs the bigger battery which puts it over the 250gm threshold.
I think they push the mini bc it’s more likely to get ordered with affiliate links. Maybe I’m crazy but I believe it 😆
I own the Air 3 and I am very happy. Now I ordered the Avata 2 and looking forward to the FPV experience. 😊
You’ll love it !
Nice video, very helpful, but do you recommend buying used drones? Just for saving i little bit more of money for further on upgrades?
Fully agree with you, mainly as I already had the mini 3 pro, so the air 3 was the obvious choice. Great video, objective and clear
Thanks for watching!
For me, Mini 4 pro make sense as I can fly this basically anywhere and with no license etc requirements.
Look forward to more posts

Excellent video as usual! Upgrading from the Spark, I had almost convinced myself that the Mini 4 Pro was the logical choice for my requirements. But.... the 3X camera and the better wind resistance of the Air 3 kept tempting me 😅 Finally went with the Air 3 last week. So glad I did!
I will recomend the mini 3 pro if the money 💰 not an issue go with the air 3
Good choice!
Great video. looking to buy a drone to take pics/videos when I go off-roading. So I am very new to this, and this was very informative.
Cheers
Just got my first drone, the Mini Pro 4. Figured if I liked it and used it enough, I'd eventually upgrade.
bro I got the 4 pro liken April and im so tempted to get the air 3 now 😭
Excellent review. Both are great drones. This review helped me select which drone suits my needs - Air 3. Thanks for the sharing this video.
Good choice!
I have both, I prefer the air 3 but end up using the M4P due to restrictions in built up areas where as the air 3 I use when I’m in the country side.
We went to air 3 just to be in between the mavic and the mini 4 ..loved the idea of the second camera
I am going to film mountain bike race events. The Air 3 has the two cameras which will give two options for the shot I want to take while in the air, given that the race is live and that I can't reshoot anything a second time.
I own the original DJI Mavic air and I still use it a lot.
Cons for travel are the
- carrying battery charger
- WiFi tech / range
Wish DJI make the air 4 smaller to the original air, but with the restrictions anything over 250 grams I would think it does not matter no longer.
Thanks a lot for this review; it helped me a lot! It would be my first drone ever. :) I think I will go for the DJI 4 Pro.
Thanks for watching it’s a great drone !
The wind resistance is only listed as The wind resistance is only listed 2 ms Difference anyway
Honestly I think the only thing that makes the air even remotely worth thinking about.
I bought the air 3 last week love it used to have the mini 3 pro but the air 3 is far superior in winds and battery life for me
want to upgrade to the mini 4 pro from my og mavic pro, but being used to a 750g drone makes me worry about the wind resistance of that small drone
I AM LITERALLY WAITING FOR THIS VIDEO AS I JUST ORDERED BOTH! im screaming right now! Great timing man! lets see which one return 😅
Haha let me know !
So which one did you keep ?
which one bro?
I have the Air 3 love it. Handles great in the wind
Very good and informative video, thanks alot for so much detail 😊
I have and prefer the air 3 like you said! or you have the Avana is very good too for more speed and trick flying !
Very veey good comparison. Well done.
Thank you ☺️
I have the mini pro three and have had it for about a year and I’m at the stage where I want to upgrade. Also had the mini one and my only complaint with them is not wanting to put them up when it’s windy and at my place it’s always windy so I’m definitely looking to upgrade to the air 3 instead of the mini 4
yes you'll see a big difference in the wind with the Air 3
i think you should upgrade to a kite instead
I got the Air 3 as my first real drone and absolutely love it, but I went through all of the extra propellers learning what the sensors don’t see.. lol
I got the avata 2 while I was waiting for new props to arrive because I wanted the goggles that will work for both.
I'm in NS too - going to go for the Air 3
air3 without a doubt, so serene and confident, with a tele lens and option to use 4G LTE module (with regional restriction).
I read somewhere that 4G LTE modul is only available for mainland China. Is that true?
I did the exact same but now I have no drone! Why do you like it better than the mavic? I loved the mavic 3!
probably the best sponsored Blogger i even seen. keep the good work! I would love to hear more about the comparison in value for money between Mavic 2 Pro for $500 with a smart controller VS Air 3 for $1100?
Thank you so much for the input. I was thinking about the mini 4 but after watching your video no doubt what so ever, I am getting the air 3. Thank you.
Glad I could help!
True but the air 3 doesn’t have a plus battery option and costs more so I think is really negated for the purpose of the video.
@@Aerialpixel_ The Air 3 has no need for a plus battery.
