    Gibson is proud to be back in the guitar amplifier business! Introducing the Falcon 5 and Falcon 20, inspired by vintage Gibson amps and reimagined for today’s players. These new amps, handcrafted in Petaluma, California, focus on great sound, simplicity, and ease of use. The new Falcon models pay homage to Gibson’s legendary past as one of the very first manufacturers of electric guitar amplification back in the 1930s but offer the versatility demanded on modern stages, in home studios, and beyond.
    The Gibson Falcon amplifiers are available now in North America via authorized Gibson dealers and on Gibson.com, with global availability beginning in April 2024.
    In this video, Charlie Worsham demos a selection of tones found within the extremely versatile Gibson Falcon 20 amplifier, from crystal cleans to subtle overdrive and all-out crunch. Watch as he showcases the onboard tube-powered tremolo and reverb circuits using a selection of Epiphone and Gibson guitars.
    The Gibson Falcon 20 1x12 combo tube amplifier provides enough power for home, studio and mid-sized venue gigs, with features to suit the modern musician in need of more from an amp. The Gibson Falcon 20 1x12 Combo is ideal for those demanding touch-sensitive, nuanced response at the low to medium end of the gain and power spectrum, with a harmonically rich blend of vintage power-amp overdrive when turned up. All this tonal magic is brought to life via the vintage voice from a 12” Jensen Blackbird Alnico speaker, which perfectly complements the volume range and Class A power section. Players can select between Full, Half, or Low (12, 5, or 1-Watt) power modes of patented Multi-Watt™, 6V6, Pure Class A Power, or 15, 6, or 2-Watts with optional 6L6 Power Tubes, providing three levels of expressive, vintage Gibson tone and feel. This power flexibility enables even more ways to transition in and out of clip seamlessly and musically and making the Falcon 20 an ideal amp for club gigs, home practice, and recording purposes. The hypnotic throb of all-tube tremolo joins spring reverb in the onboard effects section, switchable remotely via the supplied two-button footswitch.

      gibsons have been the guitar for weekend warriors for a while. like im pretty sure a gibson comes with one’s corporate desk job - real musicians play instruments that can take a beating and are subpar because real musicians’ musicality nullifies the need for the extra help technology gives you. plus with the ‘new’ epiphone headstock its clear gibsons are far shmoozing clients and epis are for musicians. theyll even beat up your gibson with rusty tools so it looks like you actually enjoy playing ~ bah humbug

      Coming from Gibson at a price point of 1799, I highly doubt anything in this amp is MiUSA. Doesn’t mean it’s not good, but there’s no way they wouldn’t be gouging the price if it were built here.

    • @EnJoony
      @EnJoony 3 місяці тому

      @jakesekerak3259. To me it's a very ragged, harsh overdriven tone - Almost like preamp based distortion - Like a lot of master volume amps even though this isn't one. I have some vintage Gibson and Maestro tube amps and they sing smoothly when cranked up - Not buzzy and fizzy at all.

    I think this amp works for the tones it can get out of the box but as a pedal platform like what most Nashville cats use an amp for.....I'm not sure about it.

    • @NintenDub
      @NintenDub 3 місяці тому +11

      Just stop with the "pedal platform" term already. Just stop. It's an amp. Every amp takes pedals. There's no such thing as a "petal plahtfohrm". Why not call it a guitar platform. A pedal platform is literally a pedal board, it's a platform that you put your pedals on. Just stop it already. Your guitar isn't a "string platform"

    • @badbrad
      @badbrad 3 місяці тому +1

      Sure it will take pedals as will any amp but without a decent amount of clean headroom, some tones could be too mushy for what they intend to use it for. @@NintenDub

    Too bad you dont show the inside of it and tell how cheaply made it is, how it's a piece of shit amp quality wise, how it's basically a mesa amp, its not a reissue at all, and how its about $1600 overpriced for what you get. Looks like a kid in china made it inside. What a shame you put the Gibson name on it.

  • @Turboy65
    @Turboy65 3 місяці тому +1

    They sure don't sound like 1800 bucks worth of good tone. Neither did the original Falcons. Gibson, don't waste Mesa's production capacity on these nostalgic dogs.. They've got plenty to do with trying to fill the backlog of orders for the UK and European dealers that are screaming to get ANY Mesa amps in their stores.
