Lois was the way to make sure Superman would be there under any circumstances, considering Lex probably knew who Superman was (Clark Kent). So his men was already there, and Lex got that lady to tell her "story" about Superman coming from the sky and burned everything. (Maybe not even from heat vision, that was just a thing I said). Then the "government" came aka the drone and the men on the horses also was a cover up. No one could fully explain what happened besides Lois (who investigated the whole thing and followed the trail back to Lex).
This scene was (for me) the most powerful in any of the movies. The unspoken emotion, Superman’s landing, Lois’s resignation, understanding, lowers her arms and she just knows she is O.K. Superman’s calm anger... then boom. Terrorist gone. And you just know... that had to hurt.

Dead Terrorist before he hits the far wall. But either way, visually effective “Oh F’” moment.

This movie is sooo slept on. Great movie, I honestly think this is better than half the marvel movies. Marvel feels like it’s for kids, this feels like dark, gritty, and a realistic view of superhero’s if they really existed.

If you looked closely and followed this scene, you know the REAL Jimmy Olsen still lives. “Talon” used Jimmy’s alias, a reporter, just like Lois, to get close to the warlord. This just proves, this masterpierce of a movie, is far too great for simple minded people.

I love this scene. It's tone is thay of our world with this inceredible being in it vs a world made that's less believable. It also shows how Superman, though very different from Batman, can also instill fear in criminals. Its shear all encompassing power. Where as Batman is a lot physical violence, trickery, and intimidation. Also this score made you feel the severity of the situation. You felt like Lois stumbled into danger and not that she was pigheadily thrill seeking for a story. You felt the aurprise and fear of the general both from hearing his men attcked and Superman showing up.👍👍👍
This is actually one of the best super hero movies ever made, there is some mistakes but if warner had continued from there without justice league DC CU would be really better now
It’s confusing, but dragged dragged the general behind him as he punched through the walls, and as the gentleman above me said, Clark confirmed he didn’t kill anyone.
They tried too hard to make this the “best superhero” film of all time. It was really good - but the amount of subplots just wore your average audience out. It’s was too much. They then tried to make up for it by having a very linear story in justice league, but at that point the damage was done.
Yeah I really do love this movie, I think it's great, but if they had shaved off the entire Africa story then I think general audiences would've liked it more. You already have the destruction of metropolis serving as a big reason as to why people don't like Superman so while the Africa sub-plot does give Lois something to do, it just adds too much to the movie. If WB was just going to completely butcher the sub-plot in the theatrical cut they might as well have removed the whole thing and left it as something for the extended cut.
He was able to come and rescue Lois halfway around the world in just a second, but he couldn't save the people inside the Capitol as it explodes. He literally just stood there. He could at least speed up and take the bomb chair out before it explodes.

"Maybe he is just a guy trying to do the right thing". He saved astronauts from an exploding rocket, he happily saved people from burning buildings and massive floods... Saved Lois and the world multiple times,... To name a few. I don't need to do this. I don't need to explain why Zack Snyder UNDERSTOOD Superman because, Zack says few things about his JL3 plans, but he said that Superman will have his defining fight with Darksied and be the hero he was striving to be. I dont know about you,...but i like a good character ark in my DC.
It's weird, but this movie felt more like a spy thriller like Jason Bourne or Sum of All Fears. It could have been really good without Batman or Superman.
Yes, we the viewers know this but the public in the movie don't know the truth of what transpired there. False information has been fed to the public with half truths sprinkled in to make Superman seem like a rogue combatant causing destabilization in his wake.

Something overlooked is how the bodies weren't noted by any later examiners to have bullets and bullet wounds in them despite bring set on fire by supposed "heat vision."
Just how often do we get the truth? Having burned bodies is more than enough to point the finger at Superman before anyone gets to the truth. Even if they do, there are agencies like CIA that'll make sure that the truth is what they say it is.

I love this scene. It's tone is thay of our world with this inceredible being in it vs a world made that's less believable.
It also shows how Superman, though very different from Batman, can also instill fear in criminals. Its shear all encompassing power. Where as Batman is a lot physical violence, trickery, and intimidation.
Also this score made you feel the severity of the situation. You felt like Lois stumbled into danger and not that she was pigheadily thrill seeking for a story. You felt the aurprise and fear of the general both from hearing his men attcked and Superman showing up.👍👍👍

They tried too hard to make this the “best superhero” film of all time. It was really good - but the amount of subplots just wore your average audience out. It’s was too much. They then tried to make up for it by having a very linear story in justice league, but at that point the damage was done.

Yeah I really do love this movie, I think it's great, but if they had shaved off the entire Africa story then I think general audiences would've liked it more. You already have the destruction of metropolis serving as a big reason as to why people don't like Superman so while the Africa sub-plot does give Lois something to do, it just adds too much to the movie. If WB was just going to completely butcher the sub-plot in the theatrical cut they might as well have removed the whole thing and left it as something for the extended cut.

He was able to come and rescue Lois halfway around the world in just a second, but he couldn't save the people inside the Capitol as it explodes. He literally just stood there. He could at least speed up and take the bomb chair out before it explodes.

They whine and cry over him not smiling and him actually having depth and emotion, that they ignore the fact of the hope he inspired to Batman to create the age of heroes...the hope he inspired the JL to keep fighting... How he saved several people from Zod and how he had to kill Zod in order to save LIVES !...How he literally died saving the day from doomsday !...How he brought flowers to Lois who he knew wasn't feeling happy to cheer her up...How he only cared about his mother's safety when Batman was about to strike him down...How he listened to his father (Jonathan ) and didn't save him from the tornado because he knew that exposing himself would put Martha in trouble and that he was not strong enough to protect her at that time, therefore listening to his father and fulfilling his father's last wish of wanting his family to remain safe when he (Jonathan) was gone...Helping to bring people out of the fire after the explosion at the senate house...and what about the montage ? "Maybe he is just a guy trying to do the right thing". He saved astronauts from an exploding rocket, he happily saved people from burning buildings and massive floods... Saved Lois and the world multiple times,... To name a few.

What made the theatrical cut funny is the hard cut to black they made immediately after Superman broke the walls.
