Hey, can you do a video regarding adjusting the index trip lever? Specifically constantly indexing, weight of pin not tripping the lever, etc. I need to understand this adjustment better. Thank you
I was walking out the door on this service call when they notified me of an additional issue. The top power lift tire on this pair was removed and relocated to another pair of lanes. Please learn from my situation. You need to roll a couple of balls down the lane and verify that there are no additional issues.
If the deck isn't fully forward at zero degrees after setting new pins, you can do a quick check to help you find out what's wrong. First, check the GB clutch adj. Is the machine stopping where it is supposed to? Maybe it's stopping early? If it's not stopping early, then trip the clutch and manually crank the GB forward. How far forward do you have to crank it before the MD shifts forward? Can you adj the GB clutch to stop at that point in the cycle? If not, then you may have damage to the MD/scissors cam or a 1:1 shaft that has twisted over time. How is your deck cable adjustment right now? Is it setting wobbly pins on a new rack? A super loose deck cable can cause similar issues to what you are describing.
Definitley looked really dry. IF it wasn't bad,..... it looked like it was on its last leg. When I do deck shaft bearings,....... I check everything I touch in the disaasembly process. Already have it apart,....... if it don't look right,.. change it out.
Great to see how these amazing machines are repaired. Thank you for taking the time to record the video.

Quick question...what adjustment should be made on an A 2 when the deck is up, empty, but does not shift fully forward to accept new pins. Thanks

Did I see a bad deck post bearing at 15:54?
