Jess look up a vehicle window tint shops some of them do vehicle wraps on side by sides dirt bikes and motorcycles they also do a clear bras which protect the paint from rock chips and ceramic coatings on the paint protection the windshield and the wheels so if you have break dust you can hose it off with a garden hose and not scratch the finish
Hey lady I have three Harley-Davidson motorcycles. 2014 street glide special 2007 Softail Deuce 2006 Sportster ( salvaged title I am turning into my dream Rat Rod bike) I love all of them and I want 1 or 2 more bikes.
I couldn't agree more. Wrap the whole bike, you should be able to find a wrap that is the same color and have the shop overay the arrows. Just make sure you do your research and find a reputable shop that knows what they are doing. That way when the day comes (if it comes) to sell the bike the wrap can be removed and still look new.
@@jjeanes2214 In my opinion it's better to get printed patterns in whole vehicle wraps. I've been seeking a Bagger lady without success for a long time. I had a tough hessian 8' x 4' catch bag made with tough tie strings in camouflage colours, but so far it remains empty. The last potential catch saw me coming and with great alacrity shot over a 7' hedge before I even got the bag fully open. But, ever positive, I'm now targeting ther 70 years plus Baggers as 60+ was simply too ambitious. And my mortuary worker pal tells me that he has a plan.
Congratulations on your beautiful Appa! I just bought my first bagger, 2021 Street Glide Special 114ci in the Snake Venom paint, it's my first 'boy' bike and his name is Joker. I am so excited to have a more comfortable bike since I ride ALOT and do long distance riding. I am upgrading already, high end shocks (to lower the bike), new custom seat, crash bars, higher handle bars, etc. I have 3 motorcycles, been riding my own bike since 1975 and this is my first Brand New Bike! so i feel the same way, I feel like this is the most special bike I have ever owned.
LOVE THE NEW BIKE!!!! You are a BAGGAER BABE!!! Welcome to the world of nav, cruise, farring...and everything else bagger!!! Excited to see what you come up with for the vinyl arrow graphics!!! Cheers 👊
I have been following or checking out many motorcycle volgers or whatever they call you guys, for years. I am not trying to score any points with you, but your channel is the most entertaining to me. I love motorcycling it's been in my life for decades.
My first two years I had my Harley I was always washing and detailing it the first rock chip I got made me want to cry here it’s 13 years later and now I wash it at the beginning of riding season and once again when I put it away for winter and I won’t even mention how many rock chips and scratches it has now but it’s my first Harley and will always have a special place in my heart . That being said if it’s nice enough to be washing it’s nice enough to be riding
Oracal 651, its a "semi-permanent" vinyl. This just means the adhesive is a solvent based instead of water base. So it will stay in the rain. This is what 90% of window decals are made of.
I purchased a 07 Piaggio mp3 250 IE and it 👌it some things to drive before I have not ride a bike for 18 years because of left knee surgery & I wear right knee brace! Mrs Jess
You'll want to wrap the entire painted surfaces. If you were to apply gold arrows over the existing paint it will be obvious when the arrows are eventually removed. The arrows will protect the paint only where they are and the exposed paint will show weathering no matter how you protect it.
Update!! So I test drove both. First the SG then the RG. I was convinced that it wasn't even going to be be close! Man, I wasn't wrong in that regard. Yes, it wasn't even close, I mean after just 2 minutes I made my decision. I bought a a RG Special, best way I can explain it is, driving the RG feels like running a hot knife through butter!! I cant stay off the damn thing!! Thanks again for entertaining us, after watching your videos of comparing the bikes, along with other bloggers as well, made me get on it. I wasn't even considering it. Never thought I'd be a RG guy, but It's just AMAZING!!!!
Vinyl wrap is the bee's knees if you want a custom look. Most vinyl is will not harm the paint underneath if it's applied correctly. As long as it gets a good seal, you need a good seal to look good, the vinyl will actually preserve the pain. One tip is to wrap entire parts so that you don't have sections that sun age next to areas that were covered. I use clear vinyl off Amazon to protect areas where wear might be an issue without an issue. If you want a custom wrap they should use good quality materials because it's kind of hard to get a good print on cheap wrap.
I’m with you about needing that. I think many people across the world need that, after the last 16 months. 10.5 months to retirement and i will be searching out my first live concert.but the new motorcycle comes first, along with a new place ton live. Can’t wait.
I loved this video!! Events are cool especially since there have not been any for over a year. Remember I told you, once you go bigger you won’t go back. … once I got my ultraglide classic. I never wanted a Dyna again.
Any vinyl sign shop can make the decals and install them for you. They will help you decide what type of vinyl is best for your purpose. The decals can be removed with a heat gun to soften the vinyl. I have removed many company logos from vehicles over the years!
150 miles on the Super Glide today to get a burger. 300 miles tomorrow on the bagger to the Midwest Motorcycle Rally. The Dyna always gets some love - it’s my burger and beer bike.
Hey, thank you and good job with your videos. You are very courageous for leaving your job and instead living life at it should be. Because of you you I just bough a Ducati night shift scrambler, can't wait to get on the road and go camping. Cheers, keep up the good work!
For the vinyl, you could reach out to Rogue Lab/Lee Stuart. He's worked with bikes in the past so he would know what type to use to keep the paint mint...he's also really good. When it comes to attention to detail 👌🏼
I'm so jealous! I love Jackel and went to see them every time they played at Annies in Cincinnati (it's been a few years). A little sawdust in your beer never hurt anyone. Loving your new bagger too, congrats!
Hey Jess good to see you out enjoying your new bike i just had a set of 12in .mini apes on my street glide i had them done at the myrtle beach spring rally, it will set you back depending on how high you go some where around 1500,oo it is a pain to do that why the labor is so high keep it in the wind ,JT
I love Land Before Time and Littlefoot!!! That part did make me cry!!!😂😂😂 can’t wait to see the arrows on Appa!!!! Wow and backstage at the concert!!! Doesn’t get better than that!!!! Ride safe Jess!!!
Thought that way when I first got my Night Train 11 years ago. The plan was just to ride the snot out of since I also had one of those fancy custom bikes that were so popular for awhile. The custom got to be a pain, always something wrong with it so I sold it. Then the Night Train became much more important to me and it became imperative somehow to keep it in perfect shape. Now it just sits in the garage most of the time so nothing happens to it. Let that be a warning, it's just a motorcycle and is pretty useless unless it is used.
You will have to entirely wrap the fairing, the fenders, the saddlebags, and the gas tank. Otherwise, over time, sun exposure will change the appearance of the white paint which remains exposed, the white paint which is not covered by any vinyl arrows.
Thank you Jess! That was true entertainment. At one point in the video I was laughing so hard that I got tears in my eyes, so yes, I've got a soul :-). Our Harley dealers here (I'm sorry to say) in Sweden is not up to "Columbus standard"
I think your idea of bronze and brown accents on white would be an excellent choice. Find a great graphics paint shop and do your thang. Glad you finally got your dream bike. Ride safe, have fun and enjoy your life. Brown leathers and complimentary helmet color would be pretty cool as well.
Jess, Congrads again on the new ride ! You definitely have to find your way to Sturgis for the rally ! We are heading out on the 6th from Austintown, OH. This is my 2nd time going and my wife's first time... We are going in our new toy hauler ! Hope to see you there.....
I'm 5'7, and I had LA Choppers twin peaks...10in...put my hands in a great spot, only thing I needed were wiring extensions, everythings plug and play, no cable or brake line upgrades...Jordan could do it....as for buying a new bike, more like new to me...1995 evo dyna, I like the old stuff anymore....
There are some vinyl companies that wrap entire vehicles. Usually high-end sports cars so that the paint doesn't get damaged and is removed when the vehicle is traded in.
14” Factory 47 bars will fit without changing any cables or anything. There are others too I just can’t remember with ones now. Just requires an extension for electrical and cutting 2 zip ties. I’m not by any means a motorcycle mechanic but I have changed bars on two Road Glides now in my garage.
Riding in general rain is fine. It is the hard driving rain and thundershowers that prevent me from riding. Yep, I have rain gear, but driving rain…nope. Did that a couple of times and even though I ride a Goldwing, I was still freakin scared.
I'm trading up from a 1300 Honda to my very first Harley!! I've ordered the color I want and I'm waiting to take delivery. 2021 Street Glide Special in Blackjack Metallic.
There are some vinyls out there that have micro perforations that hold and are durable like regular vinyl but release easy if/when you decide to take them off.
I have the 14” Paul Yaffe bars and absolutely love them. I started out with the stock didn’t like it at all then went to the 12” Paul Yaffe bars but went up to the 14’s because I wanted my arms to be shoulder level.
I went with the 12” Yaffe Monkey Bars and think I could have gone for the 14”. Jess-you can go 14 inches without having to lengthen any cables/hoses. I’ve also ridden a road glide with t bars as well. The only thing I didn’t like about that was not being able to see the speedo really well.
tip from a former (retired) harley dealer manager, the bikes parked WAY out in the parking lot away from the other bikes (Especially at Rallies) are the 1st ones Stolen. I never park my bike where i can't see it
I think you know enough to know what you want. Trust your gut and y'll know what to get. There are bars all sizes and styles. You'll find what you want. I can't wait to see what you put on it.
Yo Jess, way too much coffee in the 1st part of your video. Lol The closing of the video was Awesome. Meeting other Bagger Babe's and being backstage & riding home enjoying a summer evening. You Meet the Nicest People on Honda. Keep the Shiny Side Up.
Me and the wife went out to ride on her birthday, which was July 5th and ended up riding back through hurricane Elsa. That was a little like riding through a car wash for an hour and a half…
When your at the red light and just lean forward to have a chat...girl your looking so comfortable on that bike already, I love it! I can't wait to have a bike with cruise control! Also with my 1st bike a used 2004 suzuki I didn't care what it looked like b/c was used and had been previously dropped and such (not by me) it was a good learner bike HOWEVER my brand new sportster 1200 I just bought in 2020 SHE IS MY BABY and I keep her so clean, and don't want her dirty so I feel ya!
The front brake being squishy is normal. I felt the same going from a dyna to a bagger and it’s from having the same size master cylinder pushing fluid to two larger calipers
In some cases that can be fixed by upgrading the lines to braided stainless. The rubber expands under pressure that can create a spongey feel. The braided stainless do not expand and that sharpens up the feel noticeably in most cases. Not to mention that it's a more durable part.
Yeah a vinyl wrap would be cool 😎 I'm with you, riding in the rain sucks. Yep higher bars do cost alot with all the cabling that goes with it. Lots of cool bikes at the Harley dealer 🏍️. Great u have navigation now on yr bike 😃. Yeah it's fun sometimes just popping into the local bike shops to see what's new. Lots of cool hotrods at the car show and luv all the road glides there especially the blue one 🏍️. The red & white limited glide was cool too. What's with the chainsaw on stage lol 🤣
Yes, just trade it in a 2015 heritage classic for a 2021 street glide absolutely love it. Thanks for all the people at wolverine Harley Davidson and Clinton Township Michigan
That is so awesome, my buddy Gary is actually the general manager of that venue, the King of Clubs. He keeps bugging me to come out there to visit but it's a long drive from New Jersey 😂
Getting the whole bike wrapped will be the best bet. Or you could just get the arrows put on then when ever you go to sell the bike have it professionally polished. We have company logos on our work trucks then when we go to sell them we just take it to get professionally polished and you can barely tell that there was a vinyl sticker there. 3M 1080 or 2080 will be the best bang for the buck.
Try rotating the bars upward. I did it on Road Glide, works nice. You have to remove the locating pin under the bars to rotate them, or to install other bars. Great ride!
As for the vinyl, you need to think about sun bleach the uncovered paint will change slightly your arrows may become ghosted. Just a thought I love that color I had it on my 18 Fat Bob.
Your road glide will take up to 14” bars with out changing wires or cable. You can use the stock ones. Check out KST Bars very adjustable. Have on mine, several people have bought them after trying mine. Just my 2 cents. Reach out to John maxwell, he tell you the straight truth of what you can do for bars.
I got KST also, love them. Have them professionally installed though. There's a lot of welding flash inside that can damage your wires. Up to 14", but imo I wouldn't push past 12" to be sure you have a little slack. I got 10" and love the height just knuckle level with top of fairing.
Hi.I just looooooove listening to u talk about your bike and riding in general.I own a 2001 Yamaha Roadstar Silverado.she has over 31,000 miles on her and I absolutely love riding her.I'm in my late 60's so I don't ride as much as I used to but I still love the feel of a cruiser, whether japanese or american.Peace......
Farrow North looks almost identical to Sound Harley in Marysville, Washington. Even down to the water tank! lol You should try living an hour from the city!! It's wonderful!!
I just bought my first bike - an '07 Suzuki Boulevard C50. Just took it out for a very short spin around the neighborhood and I think 2 things: 1) I'M IN ABSOLUTE LOVE 2) I need more practice
🛑🛑 First time viewer, and Subscriber. Your “low drag personality”, and “motorcycle passion” really shines through to camera👍. As a Ohio Girl, are you heading to Chillicothe Labor Day Weekend, for the Easy Rider Rally? We are heading there for some laughs. Great Channel. Enjoy the ride, and I think your new bike looks great 👍😀
I've got 3 bikes, a 1999 yamaha road star 1600 it's my longer distance/out of town rig, i got a 2001 honda shadow spirit 750 its my bop around cruiser just around town pretty much anything under 60 miles away, and a 1981 honda cm400c it gets babied not realky ridden much as its really underpowered for a guy my size but i got a 20 mile country loop around my house i ride it one a few times a year, it was my fathers bike i restored, he bought it new in 81 4 years before i was born, the bike that sparked my obsession at a young age so i holds a special place for me.
You can do a nice set of bars for under $250 and thats leaving the factory wiring and not cutting or doing any wire modifications. Its a pretty easy afternoon project to swap them out.
You can do up to 14" bars without needing new wires and lines. 14" is pushing it. 12" will probly fit you well. Will be close to shoulder height with 12"
Bike looks good….look for a good auto paint shop near you and they should be able to put on a plastic wrap for your arrows you are wanting. Easier and less expensive than painting…also can peel them off later when needed. The wraps usually last 2 to 3 years. Hope that helps you decide. Be safe !

Mostly Jess I stay away live bands and groups of people because I usually hang out big bands ACDC but that's long time ago!
ATLANTA CUSTOM WRAPS
Hey lady
I have three Harley-Davidson motorcycles.
2014 street glide special
2007 Softail Deuce
2006 Sportster ( salvaged title I am turning into my dream Rat Rod bike)
I love all of them and I want 1 or 2 more bikes.
Have you ever done a hocking hills backroad trip? Very fun.
i would say get a FULL wrap on the bike both white and the coulor because it protects the paint and it will look facory new when its removed :)
I couldn't agree more. Wrap the whole bike, you should be able to find a wrap that is the same color and have the shop overay the arrows. Painting over the wrap is viable, but may be an issue if there is any reason to replace a section.
I agree. Full wrap. Anything not covered will fade over time from the sunlight. Partial vinyls will result in a perfect imprinted shadow.
I've been seeking a Bagger lady without success for a long time. I had a tough hessian 8' x 4' catch bag made with tough tie strings in camouflage colours, but so far it remains empty. SCORE! 🤣 kidding! Thank you for saying so!! It really does make me feel so happy knowing you guys are enjoying the videos! 🤗

Also with my 1st bike a used 2004 suzuki I didn't care what it looked like b/c was used and had been previously dropped and such (not by me) it was a good learner bike HOWEVER my brand new sportster 1200 I just bought in 2020 SHE IS MY BABY and I keep her so clean, and don't want her dirty so I feel ya!
wow i listen to jackyl and Slaughter. my whole drive from utah to maine. in 1989 . 2500 miles i just loved it
You can get bronze accents like floorboards, engine case covers, air cleaners, etc. Appa will be awesome!!!
Awesome vid Jess ..Loving the Road Glide..👍🏻🇦🇺
Remember. Fix it for you. What ever you like, you do to it.
LONG drive! Haha! Small world!
Like the your new bike. Keep making fun and enthusiastic content. Cheers from down under.
I just bought my first bike in April and I really enjoy riding and now my beautiful wife wants to get a bike of her own
Amazing!!!
Just a thought
I love that color I had it on my 18 Fat Bob.
I’m a hero of mostly stock bikes. I have a 18 deluxe and just a few upgrades. I feel in love with her just the way she is.
Awesome! Looks like you had fun! Love to see those ladies riding baggers! And they were awesome bikes!
Just took it out for a very short spin around the neighborhood and I think 2 things:
1) I'M IN ABSOLUTE LOVE
2) I need more practice
By the way, it was your channel that convinced me to give this a shot. Thank you!!!
Appa sounds so good! Watching your vid through my surround system right now :) You did good kid!
Best Line... "I haven't been drinking TODAY"... Love it
I have a custom Ultra Classic I just lit completely up with XK Glow strips. Nice Road Glide!

Your “low drag personality”, and “motorcycle passion” really shines through to camera👍.
As a Ohio Girl, are you heading to Chillicothe Labor Day Weekend, for the Easy Rider Rally?
We are heading there for some laughs.
Great Channel. Enjoy the ride, and I think your new bike looks great 👍😀
Not sure yet! I went a couple years ago and had a blast! Thanks for the subscription!

We are heading to Chillicothe from State College Pa.
The Chillicothe Rally has great people, and many…many laughs😂👍💯
I actually cut decals and such. Look for someone to make your arrows out of Oracal 631. It’s less permanent than 651 but it will stay on.
That was cool love the bikes too they all look cool
For me, even if it's a cloudy day, I wear sunglasses outside every time. 😎You'll never see me outside without them.
You can do a nice set of bars for under $250 and thats leaving the factory wiring and not cutting or doing any wire modifications. Its a pretty easy afternoon project to swap them out.
I subscribed because of your personality. Definitely not embarrassing
You can do up to 14" bars without needing new wires and lines. 14" is pushing it. 12" will probly fit you well. Will be close to shoulder height with 12"
That bike looks very comfortable for you. I think you said, it was from NH. I'm from Hooksett NH and now in Ga. A lot more riding season down here.
I didn't notice the CVO grips last video. I love that color.
That was cool, jackal sounded great , I saw them 20 years ago I guess, still Killin it🤩
I bought my first Harley back at the beginning of June 👋
Congratulations!
Bike looks good….look for a good auto paint shop near you and they should be able to put on a plastic wrap for your arrows you are wanting. Easier and less expensive than painting…also can peel them off later when needed. The wraps usually last 2 to 3 years. Hope that helps you decide. Be safe !
