Hello again. Thanks for this video. I adore when someone has a video, with plain language explanations, without stupid psycadelic sort of "musics" / sounds, and all that. And if it is in my native language (portuguese) or English, that is heaven on Earth. Not to mention that you are calm voice while explanation. If you are not a teacher, you should well be. Greetings from Portugal.
Good video. The hop up system description (no.5) in German says: "the hop-up system can be set on the underside of the barrel by using the 6-sided Allen key. Turn the rear screw in the CLOCKWISE direction ("Uhrzeigersinn = clockwise) to increase the hop-up effect" i.e. turning it anti-clockwise will probably decrease the hop-up effect. The wear and tear is doubtlessly linked to the zinc alloy ("Zamak 4") metal used to make most metal airgun replicas: those moving parts should have been made of steel.
i know your post is 4 months old but mine broke today and i wanna tell my story. i fired about 2 cartridges through it which is about 6 mags. and of course dry fired it sometimes. i had it for 6 days and that little "hitting board" that is preventing the striker to fall out broke. i dont understand why they are making that main parts which have to withstand quite a lot of force out of that cheap and britle zinc alloy.
I bought one of these for £80 in UK...I weighed it and was slightly lighter than the original so I glued a couple of lead strips in the handle as there is a bit of room in each side...The after market wooden grips you can get for the luger are not a good fit and you need to do some skilled surgery to get them even close to fitting...although the wooden grips for the KWC M1911WW2 replica fit with little work and are a great authentic addition...The leather holsters for the luger and M1911 made in India are exceptional high quality and come with authentic stamps...So I'd recommend the leather holsters for the P08 and the KWC WW2 M1911...but not the wooden luger grips
Disclaimer: Read to the end for the real problems. My names Bryan, me and my friend Tyler got these as a gift to ourselves and tried them out. Brand new they were spectacular, I loved how it felt in my hand, Tyler hated it. From our experience the trigger pull was super light, barely had to apply much pressure and it would run. His immediately showed problems with expelling Co2, it was our first gas blowback guns and I loved mine so much I wanted to use it competitively, and I did very very well with it. After a few months, mine degenerated like his did, the trigger would sometimes entirely fail and wouldn't work for minutes, sometimes having to break the gun down and put it back together with seemingly no answer as to why it didn't work. Both of ours started having issues with expelling the Co2 and sometimes it wouldn't expell enough. From my experience, you cannot oil these guns, get them wet, dirty, nothing. If yours starts having problems, I've found that getting them very dry and warm alleviates most of the issues for a short period of time. I do recommend this gun if you like to collect.
Hey! I'm considering buying this replica. Anyone who has owned one for a while. Did it fall apart by itself in the short term, or did it end up being fairly durable in the long term? I don't want to waste my money on a gun if it's gonna dismantle itself after only a few months...
I pretty much agree with most of what he says. The one thing I would mention is that you should NOT waste your time and money buying any of the sholder stocks available for the real steel P-08. The ones for the real steel will not fit the clones whether KWC, WE or Umarex. I haven't found after a lot searching any that have been made to directly fit the clones. Not like the wood stocks on the market for the C96/M712 which can be made to fit the clones and work quite well. It can be done for the Luger but requires careful machining to widen the guide slot on the pistol itself. And that my friends was major pain in my... buttock. (I bet you thought I was going to say "my ass". 😇)
Hii! Nice video! What is your opinion about that certain pistol? Is it worth to buy for plinking sometimes in the garden? I heard many times that it breaks... Do you recommend it?
No fence toggle and toooooooo many parts,,,, got NBB,,,TBHis fun and accurate,,,trigger is HEAVY but what can you do but you can’t have everything…I recommend this pistol but. NBB and save on CO2…Anyway it’s Legent 3BB penny ❤❤❤
Hey Steve buddy good work on the videos and updates... I was wondering if you write me back on a question or two... I picked up a P08 maybe a week ago... fired off about 200 rounds so far... question that brass screw that has a little rubber gasket on it that screws into the back of the lock back mechanism... has that unscrewed for you ? So far I tightened it but twice so far... wondering if you had this issue ? Question will we get another update on the over time and what it looks like now ?
I have the Lugar p08 bb gun with no blow back actually my friend have the Lugar blowback and my gun shots farer n faster n the CO2 lasts the blowback uses a lot of CO2 cartridges cause of the blow back I can fire 8 full clips
Did you have any problems getting it into the UK , I am looking to get one myself , I have the Umarex legends P08 ,its good but , I want the real Blowback , action , V V
I live in Italy, and I had no problems getting it here. I know several people who have ordered from German companies, and have had them shipped to the UK without problems. So, I don't think you'll have any problem.
The real version of this pistol would have been called the Black Widow. The German Luger was not made for target shooting but for self defense which is why the sights are so crude.
Thank you kindly. I'm going to buy this gun here and age it with something (Lots of tutorials on it) and give it a nice wooden grip to match its ww2 era for my Uniform i'm putting together. (Non-political so don't hate)
Sue thing If I can remember. It'll most likely be towards January though cause I get most of my spending cash during Christmas. The aging process is gonna take some time as well.
my first airgun is gonne be the kwc 1911 A1 :D now i need to get the permet i already have the stuff done for it now it only needs to arive in the mail :/ ( i am from holland btw )
I picked up the bluing marker by them. Worked great to get rid of the white lettering and to touch up little scratches here and there. The lettering is still there but barely noticeable.
@@KyleTheDalek Yes and no...The wooden grips are a really bad fit on the luger...You have to grind out the CO2 cylinder profile but that's the easy bit on wooden grips for BB gun grips....The problem is the fit externally...The screw holes do not align at the bottom and the thin part of the grip that inserts into the body at the top has to be so thin it will break easily....I don't recommend the luger grips unless the luger is going to be a show/static or you have qualifications in engineering.........The wooden grips for the KWC M1911 are a great fit only needing the CO2 profiling on the inside
The wear and tear is completely normal - after all, it is made from cheap zinc injection molding and not steel or aluminum. Zinc injection molding is a shit material and it is also so soft that such wear and tear can be seen very quickly. These lead relatively quickly to malfunctions of the gun. Zinc injection molding is just cheap crap and it's a shame that almost all air pistols or BB and also gas pistols are made with this crap. They used to be made of steel in the 1970s and 80s, after that they were just zinc injection molded shit.

Well done sir for a very clear and sensible review of this gun. It makes such a change from many of the gun reviews on UA-cam.

just subscribed.
you know what you present, how it works, how it comes apart, its special features and its inner parts.
keep up the great work man :)
I just bought one. Excellent review of the pistol. I assume you are ex-jock BA ? Anyway, please consider reviewing the Umarex MP 40 CO2.
@@iainhughes1907 just bought me one too :))

How did you field strip it without damaging the screws and threads?
And did you kit wooden grips on it?
@@KyleTheDalek No, just the stock plastic ones and the way that mine and his are built they're meant to be field stripped
Is there any difference between the 6mm Luger and the 4.5mm other than the caliber?
Thank you. I was wondering how to release the slide!
Thank you, great review.

Does the 4.5 mm shoot metal bbs
How long did it work?

Just want to let you know some ozler av (think I spelt it right) stole your video
does KWC make the umarex blowback Luger p08?
toneknob
I think so.
no
i think the wear is just on the finish as its probably quite a cheap finish, the metal is probably fine
Where can I get a magazine like that?

I have ordered one from Germany in 4.5mm , I will let you know how I get on ,,
you had any problem with it? mine consumes the whole co2 bottle now, at first it was fine
@Werwolf Fallschirmjäger found out it was some problem with the blowback mechanism, don't know how to fix it though, lost it

Jerry did make some good guns
The Luger P08 was a Swiss design, of course.

Is there a PELLET-shooting Luger P08 air gun on the market?
Kitty Kitty
No.
Kitty Kitty, NOW there is.
Umarex legends p08 i think

Are the grips removable?
Yes - removing the screws at the bottom of the grip allows the grips to be removed.

The Pistol Place Why not send some pics to the Pistol Place when your Luger is finished?
Sue thing If I can remember. It'll most likely be towards January though cause I get most of my spending cash during Christmas. The aging process is gonna take some time as well.
Will these kwc co2 mags fit in the we p08 green gas?
I don't think so - the internal construction isn't identical.
no mags other than KWC specified luger mags wont work on the gun. and vice versa, kwc luger mags won't work on other lugers either
my first airgun is gonne be the kwc 1911 A1 :D now i need to get the permet i already have the stuff done for it now it only needs to arive in the mail :/ ( i am from holland btw )
Have had the 1911 since 2012. Amazing pistol. Never had any flaws with it and it i built like a tank.
indeed it is an awesome gun and i like it very much
Anyone used any Birchwood Casey Super Blue Liquid Gun Bluing on the KWC Luger?

Is this not how you field strip the real Luger ?
Haha it's awesome if it is! I'm going to look in to it.
....yes it is the same field strip of real Luger P08.....
mine is 1.6 joule 21 shot??
