Disclaimer: Read to the end for the real problems. My names Bryan, me and my friend Tyler got these as a gift to ourselves and tried them out. Brand new they were spectacular, I loved how it felt in my hand, Tyler hated it. From our experience the trigger pull was super light, barely had to apply much pressure and it would run. His immediately showed problems with expelling Co2, it was our first gas blowback guns and I loved mine so much I wanted to use it competitively, and I did very very well with it. After a few months, mine degenerated like his did, the trigger would sometimes entirely fail and wouldn't work for minutes, sometimes having to break the gun down and put it back together with seemingly no answer as to why it didn't work. Both of ours started having issues with expelling the Co2 and sometimes it wouldn't expell enough. From my experience, you cannot oil these guns, get them wet, dirty, nothing. If yours starts having problems, I've found that getting them very dry and warm alleviates most of the issues for a short period of time. I do recommend this gun if you like to collect.
***** why? it has nearly no disatvantages compared to green gas, sure it shoots hotter but that can easily be lowered. besides most co2 guns are qcb legal, and co2 guns are way easier to lube.
It has a few distinct disadvantages for me. Firstly, it's expensive in the UK. Up to 60p if you buy single bulbs, obviously cheaper in larger quantities. Depending on the gas efficiency, you might only get a few mags worth with one bulb. The only Co2 pistol I have owned could fire 70 shots or so with a cartridge - that's 0.85p a shot. The bottles gas I buy costs under £7, and can last for a thousand shots at least, which is a maximum price of 0.7p. a shot. Your mileage may vary, for me it works out expensive (it would be even cheaper if I used propane) Secondly, I find it massively inconvenient. I hate having to screw in a bulb, and then either empty it, or drain the rest out by removing it before storing the gun (I have always believed storing Co2 in guns leads to leaks, the opposite of what you should do with a normal gas gun). I love being able to top up the mag whenever I like. I appreciate that for a skirmisher it's good to just slap in a bulb and get a load of shots off without refill, but I find the whole setup a huge hassle. Last thing, it gives you no flexibility with gas choice. I like to run my guns with maintenance gas occasionally. There is also the issue of Co2-only guns /generally/ being made to a low quality compared to Japanese gas guns. Lots of them are just air pistols altered to 6mm production with nastly fake blowback. How are Co2 guns easier to lube?
asg makes co2 cartdridges mixed with lube. pop one of those in for every tenth shot and you never have to take the gun apart to clean it. (unless your slide jams without having the slide lubed on the part where it connects to teh lower part, like on a m9) also co2 is mostly more gas efficient, and some guns use mags that are just like green gas mads but are made to handle co2 so you can use a co2 charger, uses 12g cartdridges to load them in like green gas does.
Still, I just find it inconvenient. For someone who doesn't really skirmish, I like that I can fire a few shots in the garden, top up the gas, and leave it until the next time. It's all down to preference anyway. I won't knock anyone who likes Co2, it just doesn't work for me.
I am wondering whether the delayed blowback action of the genuine P08 would be inherited in this airsoft action. Very likely coz the knee-joint structure still exists.
I heard when buying this it's best to remove the orange tip since it pushes the inner barrel back which causes problems like no hammer contact, only fires two rounds, and goes full auto sometimes. Is it true?
Oh, it's the WE system? Meaning it's horribly inefficient? Sweet. Also, video says fixed hopup. Website says adjustable hopup. Looks like something needs to be adjusted or fixed.(those were bad puns.) Ninety dollars sound reasonable for a "quality" Luger. I was surprised. Hopefully they didn't buy up WE's old stock and rebrand it. I can't get over the 15 on everything. Is it a law that all airsoft Lugers are serial number 15? Was the Tanaka the same?
A genuine serial would look like "byf xx" (xx = year of production) but by doing so it would be considered a conterfeit (or any kind of BS related to this). I guess this replica is a copy of a copy, like a lot of Taiwan's // HK's replicas. They might be based on the TANAKA WORKS replica which serial is 6015. So sorry but you have to get some engraver change the serial like i did to my WE P08 (which broke last month...)
Is it made out of the same kind of material as the WE Luger? Because that thing breaks in about 10 shots. Maybe Redwolf can make another video going through 500 bb's with the same KWC P08 Luger and see if it falls apart in your hand.
I have a question about this gun. Seeing as it is my favorite gun in history, I would like to purchase it. However, due to my own concerns of saftey, I would prefer an orange tip version. Does a version with an orange tip exist?
