Whatever company hiring the team gotta be fucking broke by the end of that tournament, imagine sponsoring/hiring like fifty fucking players. Plus, the nature of competitive gaming just can’t work here. In Bannerlord, most of, if not all individuality is stripped away and you MUST work with your team. There will be no superstar, there will be no one man army. It’s very realistic, you can only earn recognition through leading but that’s it. If you’re a part of the squad, you’re just a number in the squad. So it will be hard for these players to make any money outside of competitions. But if we’re not talking like esports, yeah, host a competition with a prize for players who play for fun (so these guys), then narrate it as they play.
@@Neutral_1zed it could work if you have two part of the tourney .. battle mode and Multiplayer conquest.. in Total war it would work with a modified campaign map.. where each player has a faction and then see who teams up with who .. think about the battle we would see.. historical or not .. (it's weird they never tried to make a campaign map multiplayer mode..) in mount and blade it could work better because there you have player based game progress so everyone can be a general in the campaign map mode and then the teams will ally with each other and create kingdoms by default .. and the battle mode is just each member of the team plays battles vs the other teams player like penalties in football , who wins the most battles wins.
Seeing a fight from this perspective, seeing all those individuals demonstrates how challenging it must have been to coordinate such an amount of people in a medieval war. Then think about that each soldier carried a heavy armor and weapon, swinging killing blows all the way. What stamina they must have had. Cool video!
in fact it is even more complicated because they had to switch sith fresher men after some time, so there was a lot of rotation... There is no need to do so in the game (and you don't risk your real life) so... wow.
if u keep in mind how "useless" leaders are in that kind of fight , i mean yes some tactics are throwing into the pit for the first min of fight and than 99% ends of chaos 1vs1 . while in the antike roman legions or hoplits etc had way more disciplin staying in formation even in the hardest conditions and with this way more tactical solution was possible
@@ZayOne15not really, whilst medieval warfare is often depicted as totally chaotic, it wasn’t, there were a huge number of tactics at play. Also, the Romans really weren’t the genius military people think they were. Like most empires, they were often attacking less developed, technologically inferior territories. When faced with a foe with equal technology and strong tactics, the Roman legions were just as likely to crumble as everyone else.
Your honestly doing a good job getting all the action and I like the spotlight to highlight each unit as you voiceover what's going on. Gives newcomers some perspective.
Amazing visuals! And great commentary. Just an addition in all fairness: The coalition won the event 5:4. Well fought, lads! Greetings from Jasperre (Aquitaine) 🙂
Thanks Razorback! I'll have to find you on the battlefield next week! In game I'm CloudWolf (KoH). It's true, the coalition did win this one overall this week. Just wanted to make everyone aware, I typically just use the most interesting three rounds and make up a story around them to make the video more immersive :)
I'm a real life Chaplain for the Order of St John (Knights Hospitaller) and honestly? I was on the edge of my seat the whole time, and proud of the lads. Pro fide, pro utilitate hominum.
@@ASquareNarwal There are plenty of good mods in the making. For Taleworlds however, I would be very glad to have some news because the game feels far from being finished in my opinion.
Very impressive getting this many players to do ANYTHING at the same time. I can't see it happening very often, but I can definitely see a Total War-style came where each player is the commander of a single unit, say 100 spearmen or something like that. That might be interesting :)
I was quite apprehensive of the 3rd fight being situated in and around the church, but holy crap that was easily the coolest battle of the bunch!! The way the Coalition swarmed out of the back entrance was beyond epic. It was a great segway to pull away from the stalemate at the front entrance, and then revisiting it, revealing a total melee had broken out inside. That was really so well done. I wish it was easier to tell who was on what team, often squads that shared the same colors were on opposing teams. So cool nonetheless
I have always imagined a battlefield type game like this. I think it can be done in public servers where the "commander" sets objectives that give rewards like increased damage, health, speed in the way of equipment and items. The commander can be the player with the highest elo and the middle elo people get to be officers that can lead groups with a similar set objective:get reward mechanic.
Bit of feedback: It would be useful if you edited the flags of the respective houses to be constantly visible on the left and right of the top of the screen so newer watchers like myself know who's who. Could even have them go transparent as they are eliminated
bro this could be something special...imagine like an RTS style kind of match like this with a commander able to draw lines where he wants the troops. Maybe even assassins to take out the commander and lose that birds eye view. This could be an awesome league...
The "draw lines" part reminds me of "War of Rights" which is a different time period, but commanders can mark areas of the ground which specify where players of the regiment will stand and hold.
A unit refers to the group of men it consists of, so 75 men would be considered a unit because Unit is short for united formation. A singlular entity would be called a Solider even a troop.
It's beautiful. I could watch that for hours. I'm a hobbyist developer myself and like mucking around making very rough and ready wargames but this is great.
Hey bud! Yea that's right the Coalition did win this one. I often try to make up a story around the most interesting 3 rounds. Might do a poll for it later in the week :)

suggestion: a second camera which is constantly filming from high above to have a steady strategic view. maybe you could put it after the "real" video so afterwards we can see the strategy and analyse it?
