Love the video!, though I have some ideas that i think can make it better: -Introduce the different factions and allies that make each side, for example, who are the round shield black guys?, feel like they are nordic! -Introduce more leaders/heroes, i saw in the video lot of cool armor and cloaks but I don't know who they are -Mention a couple of soldiers that did great in battle (numbers of kills) or soldiers that ended the battle on their feet -Tell us which consequences came after the battles ended, did the faith in Bretonnia weakened after they lost this war?
Now that PE is open source, why not do a faction PE server? There wouldn't be any meaningful consequences, but there could be if it was an open world. It would be different from PE, No grinding for gear, everyone has their faction gear, but lands and castles would be there for the taking. The story could be shaped organically and realistically, and since there's no grind for armor, anyone can play at any time, so the activity would be large. Anyone can kill an enemy faction outside the castle, and clans can organize large battles like Benoni just did, except it would be dynamic, and the mics would allow for some awesome roleplay.
This is so beautiful with the coordination, the fighting, and overall the commentary! You're very dedicated and I love this! Def going to be getting this game soon, hopefully I'll hop in the battle and fight for Bretonnia!
This is amazing, the story narration by video instead of a text, or even both of them. I think you could mix this with a short text and a couple of no interface pics and add the video. This is just top quality stuff. Looking forward for more... The Priest that at 3:30 dives for the fight, priceless. Some scenes would be worth being expanded with specific stories branches.. like the "life of the Captain leborgne" (in third person scene where he rides has inspired me) but also other scenes like group ones are worth expanding like a trading scene, or the situation where the king dialogues with someone else (so hearing the discussion) .. maybe also creating a secret talk in a hidden place. Maybe also talking of a meeting or love relationship between a warrior and a enemy figther maybe a shield maiden?! ... Life of a peaseant too could be interesting. Just wow.. I loved the death check on dead bodies. that is top quality attention to details not to say else u also did. wow!! The concept of fighting in a same place breathes inside the event realism itself because it's actually like this that battles were "played"... they were on same location or miles distance but anyway this formula of inside a "level" (map) encounters really pushes in the event an idea of credibility.. congrats for this! One more thing supporting what I just have written: you could have a "wild card" recounting that after a particular crash (u have 2 maps at disposal) if one side pushes with 2 wins one back u will have a map where that force will be driven back to fight at, if the other team instead wins 2 then there will be loaded another map (OR EVEN IN THIS SAME MAP) the fight will happen far away from where it has happened to indeed narrate\simulate the fact that troops have been driven far away sort of route and u can narrate "reinforcement" arrive for the routing coalition and thus there is a last stand over there.. (new maps) or a far location from where these fights have happened (on the same map where they have happened.. as long as this map is big enough to host a different and far location to fight at). Other maps instead could be empowering a "themed" experience as you can narrate the 2 times beaten had almost routed but reorganized at x x x x .. and the pursuing forces reached x place where a final battle was about to start... anyway u got the idea I hope, it's nothing complicated.

The last battle right before the clash it was admirable how serious they take the leadership. They knew their orders were outdated and they would be flanked yet they still took the orders so the leader could give out new ones quicker rather than them trying to position themselves better in a egoistic manner.
Aha exactly this! Sometimes captains make mistakes. Better to die with discipline than a rabble! Also just shows how hard it can be to rotate an army quickly.
I think adding the roleplay elements is a really cool idea, and ultimately adds to the video, but I did find the beginning "cutscene" in this video a little confusing. I had a hard time keeping track of what was going on and who was doing what, like when the church gets attacked, for example. I wish that, timestamped at the beginning of every video or linked in the description or something like that, there was some key that shows what colors/banners belong to each team. I think this would make it easier to understand your story narrations, AND it would also make the battles more interesting, because viewers could more quickly and more completely learn all the different factions involved, which makes it easier to get emotionally invested in the battles. I just discovered your channel about a week ago, but it's quickly becoming one of my favorites on UA-cam. Keep up the good work!
One of my favourite battles. You do a great job narrating and focusing on the action. I would live to see more of this in PE servers sometime in the future.
I don't play Bannerlord but I'm really enjoying these videos. I love the storyline but I think you could condense it a bit so we're not waiting 7 mins for the first fight! Great stuff all round 👏

Something that might be able to shake up the entire momentum of these videos is army composition. right now its almost everyone shieldwall clashing, pushing through brute force and getting a few licks in where possible, with the added bonus of a few cav and archers. maybe you can form a unit of heavier armored but shield-less people with big warhammers or axes or whatever, designed to either flank, ambush, punch a hole through a line, the melee damage dealers basically. or other such specialist units. instead of thin spears, have big pikes. or have a peasant militia but they have throwables or other means to contribute. Things like this play well into Bretonnia's warhammer identity as well (peasant archers have fire or pox arrows, various kinds of religious zealots for the Lady used no shield but big ol greatswords or axes or hammers, medieval siege equipments.) of course this depends on how well bannerlord is tuneable but you mentioned cav being more dnagerous on server than vanilla. maybe horse archery can be added but with less armor piercing values, so they're best served as counter-skirmishes or flankers or anti-cav, at the cost of less people on the ground. or you can outfit one man on each side in super-heavy stuff and make him a grail knight raidboss. and lastly, currently it felt like the momentum of a realistic combat wasnt well simulated by the 'instanced' brawls at various points on the map. You couldve had the crossroads and stones skirmishes first, then the circular fight where coalition loses, push outside the church and then finally the last stand in the church.

Awesome videos! In terms of feedback re battles, I have a feeling your troops are breaking formation to quickly / don't reform formation quickly enough. A shield wall can be devastating when held, and when it starts to breakout, regroup them. Absolutely do love how you're preparing 3rd row for catching flanking troops. It may also pay to have 2 handed units in the last row to deal with flankers and to engage the enemy wall from behind. Use your wall as a wall and get units to flank enemies / get behind them, their walls will break. Not sure how feasible it is given the relatively small number of troops but wedges are also very effective at breaking walls.
Aye some solid advice here. Breaking formation is certainly something we are working on. There is a fine line between holding the formation and not holding because the enemy surrounds the static troops. Thanks for the comment, glad your enjoying them!
super cool. yet, i would love some more diversity in the armies. you know, more cavalrymen - or more focus on them-, more dedicated 2h weapon units, a unit or two of skirmishers (light armor and throwables), maybe some horse archers in a unit (make them mercenaries?) and full on pikemen instead of regular line troops with spears. that would not only be very fun to organize, it would also make for a more thematic, insanely cool battle scene. also, some more lore would be great. who are these nordic dudes? the vlandian shield guys can be normans maybe. brettonian noble cavalrymen, and the one you added, knights of the lake, if you name all these different divisions it would be awesome.
I wish this would happen sometimes. Unfortunately there are limits to what we can field. We also avoid throwing weapons. I think because they can be a little too overpowered. But, a light armored throwing weapon unit would be totally awesome. I’ll try and suggest aha :)
Hey! So the coalition is named because they are a coalition of multiple clans. The BRE however is one clan with numerous dukedoms or regiments. People ask similar questions very often. I will do a video soon I think outlining our structure and introducing the other clans.

There's a gaming practical reason why you break formation when fighting? Because tactically and historically there's the moment when YOU MUST AT ALL COST remain in formation. Great video btw
Hey dude thanks for the comment! There is a fine line beteeen holding a semi-formation and breaking. If you hold to strong the enemy can quickly run around. If it wasn’t a game a soldier would be too scared to solo run around a formation. I hope this makes sense

I would love to participate in games like this but every Arma 3 or Bannerlord clan requires you to to treat the clan as a second job with mandatory clan participation events, mandatory clan play hours, and other bullshit. Normal people with a life are forced out of these games.
Good video but what a weird draconian community, I asked literally 1 question about the rules and was banned from the server with no response. Archers should try to flank/ get behind enemy lines as they engage your infantry. Cavalry could distract the enemy cavalry meanwhile.

Now that PE is open source, why not do a faction PE server?
No grinding for gear, everyone has it, but lands and castles would be there for the taking. The story could be shaped organically and realistically, and since there's no grind for armor, anyone can play at any time, so the activity would be large. Anyone can kill an enemy faction outside the castle, and clans can organize large battles like you just did, except it would be dynamic, and the mics would allow for some awesome roleplay.

I would love to participate in games like this but every Arma 3 or Bannerlord clan requires you to to treat the clan as a second job with mandatory clan participation events, mandatory clan play hours, and other bullshit. Normal people with a life are forced out of these games.

Good video but what a weird draconian community, I asked literally 1 question about the rules and was banned from the server with no response. The discord server bars you from joining if you are a part of literally any online group related to Bannerlord, including following the official Twitter, subscribing to the official subreddit, being a member of the official discord, etc, as if being passionate about the game is a bad thing.
